Pier Sixty-Six Hotel and Marina

We stayed at Pier 66 for one night. We have stayed there when it was a Hyatt before. I thought I would check it out again as Pier 66. Check-in was easy. The staff was friendly. We were supposed to stay for 2 nights but the noise in the morning was so loud that we couldn't get any sleep. We checked out the next morning. We had a room by the pool and the doors kept shutting, making the loudest noise I have ever heard a door make. Housekeeping kept letting the doors slam against the door stopper when they were entering and leaving rooms as well. Their carts echo going down the sidewalk. I know why housekeeping doesn't try to be quiet, because they want you out of bed so they can do their job. But after arriving late it would have been nice to get some good sleep. Room service staff was friendly and the food was good. The hotel is definitely dated but I hear there are going to be some big renovations going on. It's a great place to stay if you want to get up at 5:30am. I will wait to stay again until the renovations are done.
