Spark by Hilton Orlando Universal Blvd in Orlando

Booked this hotel through trip last minute and I accidentally booked the wrong weekend. I needed the hotel that night but had booked it for the next weekend. I didn’t realize this until I went to check in at the hotel at 7:30. At first they made it seem like it was an easy fix and they even had a room available for me that night. Turns out the room I booked (just 4 hours earlier) was not refundable and not able to be modified at all. Trip tried very hard to negotiate with the managers of the hotel but they would not budge even though I was on the phone for hours, and very tired. I just needed a place to sleep from 8pm to the next morning I had to check out at 8:30 am. The hotel refused to allow the reservation to be modified and I had to pay another $150 for a room in another hotel. I was obviously not able to go to the hotel on day I accident booked but still had to pay for it. Very disappointed that they couldn’t make an exception for the situation as I had just booked it four hours earlier.

If you’re looking for a hotel that has adequate customer service then I would not go here.

I booked a one-week stay at this hotel, but the breakfast experience was incredibly disappointing. The facilities are inadequate; seating is extremely limited with only a few tables, making it nearly impossible to find a place to sit. The yogurt dispenser was difficult to use and frequently empty. Even when arriving at 8:30 AM, the station was already stripped bare—running out of eggs, fruit, yogurt, and muffins. The only fruit offered were oranges and bananas, which were also often out of stock. Overall, the breakfast service and management are very poor.

Location is near universal studio, but only 1 shuttle a day. It’s not convenient. The room fee includes the breakfast, but only bagel with butter and Jam. And definitely it’s not delicious.

The room hygiene was absolutely terrible. There was still hair in the bathtub, and the smell was so bad it could knock you out – it was a nightmare. As soon as I walked in, I was hit with a strong mildew smell. This was by far the worst accommodation of our entire trip.
