The stay was fine. Staff was friendly and helpful. Location was good for my trip. Room was very small. I did book an economy room, but it was really really small. The bathroom door would not even open all the way because it hit the toilet. My bedroom at my house was bigger than this entire hotel room. For 200+ a night, I would have looked elsewhere if I had known the room was a closet. It worked fine though. However I doubt I would stay again for the price range, now knowing what you get.

Location, location, location Price, Price, Price. Nice folks running the show This is a "typical" building from the 1930's (my guess) that seems to have been repurposed from something else so some of the design stuff is a little strange, but clean, comfortable and right in the middle of Lincoln park can’t be beat!

Adorable little hotel. Convenient, though expensive, onsite parking ($30 per night, though they do offer parking at a garage a block gotten the street). Decent breakfast offering.

Our room was large and comfortable. The desk staff was helpful and professional. We requested a fridge brought into our room and they accommodated. The location was convenient for seeing Blue Man Group, Lincoln Park, and Wrigley Field.

Rooms were nice enough. Shower took a very long time to get warm. The front desk was extremely helpful and the location was great. Overall we had a positive experience and would recommend this hotel to others.

Pretty much exactly what we expected. The building and room were old but clean. We had a comfortable bed and good shower/bathroom. We only stayed one night and mostly used the good location as a center point to explore the city. Would recommend for people on a budget just looking for a clean bed in the Lincoln Park/Lakeview area. Friendly staff too!

I don't often write reviews, but this one deserves it, plus the reviews I read are what made me choose this hotel. The outside made this place look grungy, but it's totally not! It's clean, spacious and comfortable. The staff were incredibly nice, especially the woman behind the front desk. Yes, it's old, the shower won't blow you away, and it's a little noisy from outside traffic. But the price and location truly make this place a hidden gem. I'll stay here every time I come back to visit.

All I needed was a place to spend the night while visiting some friends. I didn't want to spend much, and I didn't spend much time at the hotel. Check-in was easy and friendly, parking was close and the hotel was cute. Everything was old, but for the most part, it was charming. The mattress was old and the hot water was all but missing, but otherwise, it was like a step back in time. I felt safe and had a good night sleep. The breakfast was just mini muffins and beverages, but hey! I'm not one to complain about complimentary coffee. I would stay here again.

The hotel is clean, and that's about it. I was given a room that was occupied so we ended up walking in on someone sleeping. luckily there was another room available, but it was shockingly small. The headboards weren't attached to anything, the bathroom door didn't shut. The tub didn't drain and the only usable power outlets were a cheap extension cord run to the end table. For $200+ a night I expected better.

The diamond in the rough! Who new something so perfect quaint and infinitely relaxing could exist in the chaos of a city the size of Chicago!? Well if you didn't think it possible to experience small town charm in the middle if a world destination city that never sleeps, like Chicago stay here and witness for yourself why it earned my loyalty after only a two night stay.
