InterContinental Hotels CHICAGO MAGNIFICENT MILE by IHG, Chicago1 / 30
8.6
Chicago, 505 N Michigan Ave (5 km from centre) 🧭 Map
The best thing of this hotel is th location. It is in the center of the one Chicago’s main avenue, with many stores, shopping, attractions nearby, etc.
We are on night two of our two night stay. The location of this hotel is truly prime—within easy walking distance to an abundance of food, entertainment, and nearby attractions, which is a major plus! The check-in staff, especially Than, was wonderful. While we were due a complimentary room upgrade, unfortunately none were open at the time. As a kind gesture, he instead provided us with two complimentary...
Lupe was amazing when making the reservation, a true gem. We stayed in a suite for 2 nights, and it was perfect. Room was not overdone and roomy, a bathroom for us and a bathroom for our girls. Corner suite was so fun for them to see the city from many views. Small mishap, we called the hotel before we left (2 hour drive and a time zone change) and talked to Brenda who said our room was ready so we...
FYI-Room service delivery fee is $8. Gratuity is automatically added but does not show up in the cart. It only shows up AFTER you pay, on the receipt. We ordered 3 milk and cookies and the final bill was $45 ($25 for the food item and rest on delivery, tax, automatic gratuity and extra tip)! The hotel itself is nice. Rooms, bathrooms and facilities are clean. Staff is courteous. Pool is beautiful...
We stayed here for one night with our 7 month old and we really enjoyed it! We had a great view on the 23rd floor and the employees are really kind and helpful. Breakfast buffet was crazy expensive but was honestly very good. My only complaint was our room was SO HOT, there was no way for us to turn the heat off so I was sweating lol. But very accommodating for us and the baby
The service was satisfactory, the environment was beautiful and unique, the hygiene was excellent, the staff were courteous, the rooms were clean, the facilities were complete, the food was safe, the taste was unique, and the amenities were comprehensive.

JW Marriott Hotel, Chicago1 / 29

Chicago, 151 W Adams St (60 min from centre) 🧭 Map
The Hotel location is perfect! Very centric in downtown, close to offices and tourist attractions.
The room is very, very big, especially the bathroom, but it doesn't look very high-end or comfortable. Maybe the facilities are a little old? But it's very good.
Great spot. It was pleasant even with some exterior construction happening during the day. Nice staff. Large lounge and sitting area. Gym was excellent. Room had some dust and terrible view, but those were just unlucky things. Very happy overall.
Excellency in room maintenance and services. The most clean room and comfort beds in downtown. Hard to find a speck even in any corner of the room. Liked the all marble decor bathroom and super friendly front desk. Gotta try cheese plate for room service. 7-yrs old cheddar, brie, and goat cheese will amaze you. Although, brace yourself for daily convenience fees, front desk fee, and room service fees...
Suites are great, but the rest of the hotel rooms are median. Cleanliness and the location is optimal, but the service can be 50/50. I have been greeted and experienced excellent from housekeeping staffs, but the valet staff at the counter especially was shadowing. Overall I would try other hotel near to compare.
The hotel is great. Very classic JW hotel - old school but very well kept. Doesn’t get 5 starts because I personally like something more modern. The views are not very spectacular as you are surrounded by other tall buildings

Front desk staff definitely skipped the hospitality portion of training. From the greeting to the checkout no smiles no warmth not very inviting. The hotel and room itself was beautiful, great location but most likely will go to another hotel next time.
Be prepared to be treated like you are the most important guest at the hotel. The staff here is incredibly professional, helpful and service oriented. Every single one.
Too expensive for such a basic room. Cheap towels and toilet paper. Broken wall switches. Handle on bathroom door broke. Just a basic room with nothing special. No refrigerator or microwave. For almost $5000 for just 3 nights I had to pay for valet parking and all food (not even free snacks). Complimentary breakfast would have been great for $5000. Bathroom was nice but just a waste of money...
Beautiful, updated property with modern elegance situated in the heart of Chicago with access to literally everything. Will definitely be returning!
The rooftop service was slow even with not many people dinning in. Otherwise, the entire hotel stay was AMAZING AND SUPER FANCY
It was overall a good stay. If anyone has ever travelled to places like Singapore or Bangkok, this would rate a 3.5 star hotel.

The room was tired and neglected looking. Room service only appeared after 5 pm Very disappointed
toilet didn't work properly, bathtub was a mess of caulking. Minibar had to be unlocked by maintenance and there were items missing from it.
Excellent location and fantastic amenities. Four Seasons is as always- top notch service and stay. You won’t be disappointed. Beautiful hotel.
Except the room is a little small, it is very comfortable
Very good, facing Lake Michigan
Excellent hotel at excellent location. Good F&B options. The view is wonderful

I could not stay at the hotel because of high fever. And I could not get a free cancellation because I didn’t have a doctors note and it was on Christmas Day, and I was not able to move due to high fever. Hotel did not accept my request even though my request was just a few minutes later on the deadline for the free cancellation. I was so disappointed that and obviously I was so excited to stay this...
Fantastic property and the best hotel check-in/recepetion we have ever experienced. The best gym, great rooftop space, huge rooms, central location in the middle of it all. (Better than Four Seasons, Andaz, Fairmont, Waldorf, Cerullian Tower etc)
The room was spacious and comfortable, and the air conditioning was quiet. Both the front desk and room service were excellent. We could even open the sofa bed and make it into a bed. The location is fantastic with amazing views, especially being able to see the Navy Pier fireworks perfectly. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit.
The room is spacious, and the bathtub is huge. The service and location are excellent – right on the Magnificent Mile, perfect for shopping.
I was surprised by the vibe of this hotel. The staff is so warm and welcoming. Recommended for the location as well.
The room was spacious and the location was great. The bed was very comfortable. Everything was excellent, except for the street noise from sirens at night, which was a bit loud.

The Langham Hotel, Chicago1 / 30High rating
9.6
Chicago, 330 N Wabash Ave (5 km from centre) 🧭 Map
The location, service and amenities were wonderful. The club level was also well worth it, with plenty of food and drink options for both adults and children.
I’ve stayed at all of the best Chicago hotels and the Langham is up there with the peninsula as best in the city.  My one complaint is that the pool, specifically the water, was not clean.  The large pool was very murky with visible debris on the bottom and the hot tub had a dark line of dirt/skin at the water line.  That said, the rest of the hotel was pristine and perfectly maintained.
Remarkable stay! I will return for my next stay in downtown Chicago. Have stayed at other 5 Star Hotels but this one is now my #1 choice. Thank you to all the staff that made my family's stay a memorable one.
Love this hotel. Will be back by end of year to come visit the beautiful city and beautiful hotel again.
Excellent stay overall, staff was super helpful, they helped me throughout the my 5 nights stay, the spa was super relaxing.
The location is very good, opposite the Trump Building, downstairs is the river, and you can walk directly to the Gorgeous Mile, parks, art galleries, etc. There are also many restaurants to choose from around, and it coincides with a large-scale music festival, and the atmosphere is very good. The hotel service is warm and thoughtful, and the hygiene and facilities are maintained at the standards...

The Peninsula Hotel, Chicago1 / 20
9.5
Chicago, 108 E Superior St (5 km from centre) 🧭 Map
Facilities: Very complete. Hygiene: Very clean. Environment: Good. Service: Excellent. The nightly turndown service was particularly satisfying, and most of the staff were very polite. Some even spoke Chinese, which made me feel very welcome.
Best hotel in the Chi. Jenny at the front desk is amazing and kind. Usually dislike hotels out in the US cause they so terrible compared to other countries, but this was comparable to the peninsula in thailand/shanghai or bellagio in shanghai
The details are the real thing. The Chinese-style design of the guest rooms is elegant and grand, and the food in the Chinese restaurant is amazing. Many luxury brands have big branches in the United States, and the Peninsula can still maintain its consistent level and deserves praise.
Special feeling, good location, good service Service: also very good
Very good, but it happened to be the New Year's Day, and the special noise outside was heard in the middle of the night. The restaurant is very good and the service is nice. It's just that the security allowed on the night of the welcome was a bit too much, which was not very comfortable.
Chicago's first choice, perfect

Odd layout. Street noise was terrible w racing cars and motor cycles all night.
Our second stay here - not disappointed We thought that the $90 breakfast was a bit too high to pay for what we got for two people. We saw other plates delivered about 15 minutes after ours were more substantial. The offerings on ours were pretty thin. The service and every single staff person that we encountered were top drawer. The room was immaculate. Definitely would come back here again.
one of the best hotels I have stayed at in Chicago. Great staff. Great restaurant and rooftop bar on the fifth floor. Location is within walking distance of most everything on Michigan Ave. Room was great , bathroom great, beds great. Would and have already highly recommended this hotel to several people. The only suggestion I have is with the shower products. Accessibility to the pump on the shower...
Gwen stayed at The Gwen Loved this hotel!!! I picked this hotel because I needed a place to stay in Chicago and because of its name. My name is Gwen and I loved staying here. I loved the rooms, location (it is walkable to everything even the water taxi on Michigan), and the easy access to parking. I can’t wait to stay here again.
I wouldn’t stay here if you are looking for a 5-star hotel experience. Amenities were lacking on the property and in the rooms, service was mediocre-poor and the rooms are fine but slightly run down. Feels more like a basic, massive chain 4-star hotel than a “luxurious” experience. Wouldn’t stay here again, unfortunately - completely overpriced and I’m surprised that this is considered to be in the...

Waldorf Astoria Hotel, Chicago1 / 28

Chicago, 11 E Walton St (6 km from centre) 🧭 Map
The room was large and comfortable, and the staff were very friendly. The view from the window was so-so. The lobby was rather small for a luxury hotel and felt a bit dated. I overslept and didn't have time to eat breakfast, haha.
My stay at the Waldorf Astoria Chicago was exceptional. The room was not just nice, but genuinely lovely and remarkably spacious, with the added charm of an open fireplace and stunning corner views over upper Chicago. The beds were incredibly comfortable, promising a perfect night's sleep, and the well-appointed bathroom featured both an independent shower and a luxurious bath. Beyond the room, the...
Just stayed there for a long weekend vacation trip. Most five star hotels have excellent accommodations, what set this one apart is the outstanding hospitality and customer service. Literally everyone, from door man, valet, front desk staff, housekeeping, restaurant, are courteous, genuinely caring and knowledgeable, they assured my stay was excellent and it definitely was. I’ve stayed at the other...
I had a fantastic stay at the Astoria Chicago, and I have to give a special shoutout to Holly at the front desk. From the moment I checked in, she was incredibly warm, welcoming, and professional. She went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect — offering great local tips and making the whole experience smooth and stress-free. It’s rare to find someone who truly enjoys what they do,...
This property checks all of the boxes! Moiz at the front desk was spectacular at check in! I was given a beautifully appointed corner room with a balcony, fireplace, and wonderful view. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and offer Aesop toiletries. They have some of the best in room dining I’ve ever experienced! They are kind, timely, and pay attention to detail. The valet service is stellar! The minute...
The room window has no view but it is very quiet, suitable for rest, good hygiene and service. The restaurant was not booked and there was no seat so I didn't experience it. The hotel is a good one-mile drive away

Park Hyatt Hotel, Chicago1 / 29

This is a beautiful hotel with lots of amenities that feel kind of luxurious. We especially loved the huge tub in our room. Also, the staff was amazing. One gripe we had is that we paid quite a bit more for a lake view room and we were on the eighth floor, which did not really afford much of a view. We called the front desk to see if we could get a higher floor and they said there was nothing available...
✨An Unforgettable Stay at Park Hyatt Chicago ✨ I had the absolute joy of celebrating my mom’s retirement with a special staycation at the newly renovated Park Hyatt Chicago — and I can honestly say, it was perfection from start to finish. Even before we arrived, the service was warm, thoughtful, and truly world-class. A very special thank you to Casey Frankel, who went above and beyond to make our...
Everything about this hotel was perfection. Front desk service was the best Ive experienced, their conceirge was so sweet and kind, all of the front door-men were courteous. I wish we could extend our vacation! Our room was beautiful, relaxing, spacious, and had great views of the lake. Lets talk about the bathoom- 10/10. I felt like we were in our own spa! Ugh such a perfect way to end the back half...
I spent 6 nights in May 2025, experiencing 2 different rooms. The stay was overall fine but far from being perfect. The rooms are the highlight of the stay. They are specious, feels luxurious, providing a great view (for the tower/lake view ones) and very good bathroom. The Spa is a true disappointment for such hotel: the steam room and pool feels tier 2 and old, miles away from any equivalent other...
We stopped in in Chicago a few weeks ago for a few days and stayed in the Park Hyatt hotel and with the ocean view. From the time we arrived until the time we were leaving, the customer service was top tier. All of the staff were very accommodating. The room service we ordered for breakfast was great. Alot of stores and restaurants within walking distance. I will definitely stay here again for my next...
Very nice hotel and rooms are great. Well thought out design like automatic night lights and large tub, and one of the few Park Hyatts I've been to recently where the light switches make sense and were easy to use. Breakfast at NoMi was fantastic. A little disappointed at the checkin experience though, but perhaps that was an outlier.

The room is spacious, with a minimalist yet refined design. A nice boutique hotel.
1000/10 best hotel I’ve stayed at! As a Chicago connoisseur who visits often this one takes 1st place. First time staying in the Fulton Market area and the vibes are so it. This hotel is clean, relaxing and the staff’s hospitality is top notch. We also had dinner at the rooftop and the views were the cherry on top of this stay.
This hotel is amazing! All of the staff we encountered were so helpful, kind, and very attentive. The hotel is beautiful and the zen suite is amazing. Highly recommend!
Very great service! From the time you walk in to check out the staff was readily available to answer our questions.
Well appointed rooms with great service. The restaurant is decent too; there are also abundant dining options nearby that are open even on Labor Day.
I absolutely lovedddd the hotel! The customer service, aesthetics, neighborhood, and comfort! Amazing
