Reviews
I purchased a water case from Walgreens and brought it back to the room because after your 1st two free bottles, they’re $3 for a 16oz bottle. Definitely get a water case!
Rooms are small if you’re traveling with more than 2 people but doable.
Shower water is nice & hot.
Staff is very helpful and welcoming.
Elevator’s are sooooo slow. I was thankful that I was only on the 5th floor and I can use the stairs because the elevator’s are the major downside to this hotel. It takes forever.
Other than that, I had a great time!
On another note, I needed to change my room due to the first one being right opposite the elevators. The staff was extremely kind in understanding the situation, asked me to pack my luggage before heading out the next day and I came back to a a new room with my luggage already there. Also left a sweet little note.
Shout out to Dawn at front desk who was extremely understanding and kind about the whole situation.
The location is perfect (for tourists)—right in a very lively part of the city, within walking distance of endless restaurants.
The hotel experience itself was only okay. There were only two small elevators, so waiting times could be significant. The rooms were small, which is understandable for a New York City stay, but the bedding would be my only issue. My main feedback is about the bed: it was advertised as a KING but was, at best, a larger QUEEN-size. The mattress was comfortable, but it clearly overhung the frame (a queen frame with an oversized mattress). Additionally, the pillows were flat and quite uncomfortable.
On a positive note, the staff were truly great. They were very accommodating with holding our luggage both before check-in and after check-out. A special shout-out to Julian, who was particularly helpful with our luggages.
Overall, I would recommend this hotel primarily for its location and competitive price point in the area.
1) The hotel cost $2,500 per night, and I stayed for four nights. The room was almost identical to a budget hotel in China, which was acceptable, considering Manhattan is so expensive.
2) The Hilton Gold Card benefits weren't clearly explained during check-in. I supposedly could choose between 1,000 points or $18 per night for food and beverage credits. They didn't explain it clearly, so I initially thought it was $18 for the entire stay, and I went back and forth several times. Later, I learned from another Hilton member staying in Chicago that if you're staying alone, the hotel will help you enter an extra name, as the Gold Card benefits are valid for two people.
3) The most unacceptable thing was that I bought four boxes of candy (at $4 a box) at the front desk on the first day for $18, and one of them was inexplicably missing from the room the next day. I wonder how housekeeping managed it. What's even more outrageous is that because we were in a hurry to check out, and it was Trump's birthday that day, there was a parade in New York, and both 5th and 6th Avenues were closed. So the Ctrip airport shuttle said we had to leave a little early to avoid huge traffic jams. So when we were cleaning the room, I forgot to bring a folder because it was in a hard-to-see blind spot behind the TV. By the time I remembered, I was already at the airport. So I asked Ctrip customer service to intervene and contact the hotel. Ctrip's service was impeccable, and they intervened and suggested things quickly. However, the hotel first didn't answer the phone. Then, when I contacted the front desk a long time later, they said they would have to look for it the next day as "lost found." They didn't reply until the next morning, and didn't reply until the afternoon to say they hadn't found it! I'm 100% sure that the item is in the room, and I remember the location very clearly. This 100% confirmation is also due to the housekeeping's negligence. Writing this, I remembered that one day when the room was cleaned, all the clothes I had left on the bed were piled on a chair. I've never seen anything like that before. This service is outrageous. I can only remind everyone to avoid this pitfall.

It was a nice, good looking cafe, surving good coffee. I enjoyed their drop and one of their donuts. This place is also good for people who have dogs.
