Reviews
I absolutely loved staying at this hotel. I originally booked just one night while visiting Brooklyn (I’m from New Jersey), and I ended up extending my stay for three additional nights — that’s how much I enjoyed it.
From the moment you walk in, it feels welcoming. The complimentary popcorn in the lobby is such a small touch, but it’s a huge green flag and sets the tone right away. The rooms are clean, fresh, and well kept. I stayed on the 8th floor and had a nice view overlooking the parking lot — which was actually a huge plus because having on-site parking in New York is rare. Being able to see my truck and always have peace of mind about parking made the stay even better.
Breakfast was solid — scrambled eggs, beef sausage, turkey sausage, grits, gravy, and more. It’s served in the morning (around 6/7am–10am), and it’s a great way to start the day. There’s also a small fitness center with dumbbells, a workout bench, treadmills, and a nice mirror setup — perfect for locking in and getting a good workout in.
Most importantly, the customer service was amazing. I can’t overstate that. A special shoutout to Eve (actually spelled Y-V-E-S), who works overnight — she was incredibly hospitable, kind, and personable. She truly made the experience special and made sure all my needs were met. By the end of my stay, I had to give her a hug because that’s how genuinely cared for I felt.
This is officially my go-to hotel in Brooklyn. Hands down. I’ll definitely be back.
The front desk made a mistake when extending my my stay, Jessica (the manager attempted to fix it).
Since my 2 week stay has concluded, over a week past my check out date.
My credit card has been charged over $2,000.00 more than the folio (receipt) states was due.
I also have pending charges for another $3,000.00.
I would not recommend staying here.
As of 8 days after my stay has concluded, I have been overcharged $5,211.84.
I called tonight (2/16/26) to ask about the billing, and was hung up on by Luis (Assistant Manager)
While we were still on site, the front desk (Luis) was very rude when questioning the billing while we were still on sight. The general manager had no interest in hearing my complaint.
Jessica was nice, but after the billing issues, lack of towels (front desk did not want to go into basement to get them), non working room keys, unanswered and unreasonable billing, uncomfortable beds, construction during day (had employees sleeping due to working night shift), outdoor construction through the night for 3 consecutive nights, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
I will be staying far away from any Fairfield inn!
I will be contacting corporate and filing numerous complaints about this location.
I made a reservation sometime in August for two nights. Sometime between August and my trip to New York, someone stole my Marriott credit card, which was then replaced.
On Oct 15th, the day I was to check in at about 9:00AM, I received an email from Marriott saying my credit card was declined.
I called the number I was told to call in the email, which was the Marriott Corporate general reservation department. I spoke with them for about 5 minutes, giving them my new card number and I received an email back saying everything was "ready to go".
I got on a plane and spent a wonderful day with my grandson.
When I got to the hotel at 8:30PM, they told me they had cancelled my reservation and there were no rooms at any Marriott in Brooklyn, so at the suggestion of the desk agent at the Fairfield, I had to stay at a Holiday Inn, and because it was last minute, it cost about $1000 more than the Fairfield reservation.
When I called the Marriott Corporate Customer Service number to ask to be reimbursed for the $1000 cost difference, they initiated a complaint. I heard back from them in a week, but they said there was nothing they could do for me because it was "not Fairfield's fault". Apparently, the Marriott General Reservation Department, which the email told me to call, isn't connected with Fairfield Inn (hard to believe, but this is what they tell me).
I emailed and called the Marriott Customer Service Department again to ask again for some compensation, and they said they escalated my complaint. I never heard back. I called again (since I’m retired, I have nothing else to do) and they told me that the Fairfield Marriott is the only one that can give me any satisfaction and since they think it is Corporate Marriott’s fault, then No one is willing to help me.
I then emailed as many of the Marriott Vice Presidents I could find, as well as the Fairfield Inn in Brooklyn General Manager. Again, no response.
The only conclusion you can draw from this experience is that no one at Marriott cares about customer service, or that a 67-year-old woman, traveling on her own, was literally put out in the cold – through no fault of my own.
I am shocked that this is how Marriott treats its Gold Status loyal customers. I always try to stay at Marriott when I travel and assume they would have excellent customer service if I ever had an issue.
If anyone from Marriott should be remotely interested, my initial reservation number was # 87885033 and my case number for customer service was 746820051. I have documentation for all of the above and my email and phone numbers are associated with the case number and reservation.
The security situation isn't bad either.
The room is small, with just enough space to open a suitcase. However, this hotel is very convenient for breakfast, especially in expensive New York.
The variety is limited, but the bagels, waffles, muffins, yogurt, etc. were delicious.
The housekeeper sometimes came and sometimes didn't, so it was hard to tell when to come.
