SpringHill Suites New York Manhattan/Times Square South in New York

My stay at SpringHill Suites New York Manhattan was generally acceptable.
The breakfast was quite good. Although the choices were limited, the menu changed daily, which was a nice touch. However, the property itself feels dated. The carpet and elevators are old, and the room and bathroom are quite small, which is expected in Manhattan but may not suit everyone.
On the positive side, the location is excellent. It is very close to Times Square and within easy reach of other major tourist attractions, making it very convenient for sightseeing.
Overall, this hotel is a reasonable option for travelers who prioritize location over room size and newer facilities.

I understand that the showerhead is fixed, but the water pressure is really weak. When I first asked to switch rooms because the water pressure was too low, the process wasn't smooth. I had to go to the front desk multiple times, explain everything from the beginning to a new staff member each time, and didn't get proper guidance, which was inconvenient. After changing rooms, it was much better, but the water pressure... especially the hot water, wasn't plentiful. Even when I stayed at a hotel in the Egyptian desert, the water pressure was better than this. Also, while the room wasn't cold, if I turned on the heater, there was a loud vibrating noise from the ceiling. It varied; some rooms had a very bothersome noise, others were negligible. The breakfast was decent, and the location was good, but I wouldn't stay here again. There are many other hotels in this area at a similar price point.

I have to admit I was a bit anxious about staying at such a busy property, in the heart of the city and on one of the busiest weekends of the year (two weeks before Christmas). I was pleasantly surprised.

As a Bonvoy Titanium member, I received a very warm welcome. While there wasn’t much of an upgrade, availability was understandably limited on a fully booked night. The room itself was very pleasant, with a comfortable couch. Everything was compact—as expected in New York—but immaculately clean and, most importantly, very quiet. A minor issue with the heating system was resolved in under 10 minutes.

It’s easy to tell when a property is managed by people who genuinely care, and that is clearly the case here.

I stayed at the SpringHill Suites by Marriott New York Manhattan/Times Square for three nights and had a great experience from start to finish. It all started with Mel at check-in — he was phenomenal. Extremely courteous, welcoming, and helpful, and he got us into a room right away, which was very much appreciated after traveling.

The room itself was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with a microwave and refrigerator, which is always a plus. Breakfast was also a highlight — there were plenty of options, including actual hot food and baked goods, not just the basics.

Housekeeping was excellent as well. They were responsive and provided extra washcloths and laundry bags when requested without any issue.

The location is another big win. The hotel is conveniently located near major attractions, and the train station is close by, making it easy to get around the city.

Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel for your next NYC visit and would absolutely stay here again.

I’m a Marriott guy. This hotel is in a convenient and fairly safe location. We had to walk from Penn Station to the hotel at 2am. It was a little sketchy because the hotel is on a side street. The lobby is very nice. The hotel is clean and modern. Our A/C didn’t work on night one, but the hotel engineer was quick to fix it. The rooms are small, but that’s normal in NYC. The included breakfast has plenty of options for all. If you’re looking for a clean spot to land for a few days, I’d recommend.

We had a wonderful stay here! The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was close to the Amtrak station and was walking distance to broadway Times Square Rockefeller center and Central Park. A lot of restaurants nearby as well. Would definitely stay here again. The breakfast was pretty good, a wide variety. Bar looked very nice although we didn’t get drinks there. They had live music one of the nights. Highly recommend
