The staff was very kind and helpful. The room was very clean and recently renovated. I was concerned because when you see the pictures online there are photos of a very old looking rooms and that is not what the rooms look like now. I just stay a weekend on NYC so I only used the room for leaving my stuff safe and to sleep. For that purposes, the room was just perfect. Yes, it is small, but I was not a problem for me and my partner. If you are a big person, maybe this is not the right hotel for you. The service was 24/7, they have coffee and water for free. Location is great. 100% recommend if you are looking for a cute and safe place to sleep.

If you want a quaint inexpensive upper west side room, this is the place. The rooms are tiny so if you’re a big person this may not be the place for you. However, the rooms are cleaner than most hotels I’ve stayed in and housekeeping is top notch. The bathroom was remodeled, but again very tiny. You can sit on the toilet and literally brush your teeth in the sink at the same time. I like to multitask so I enjoyed that. The location is safe and near everything.

The hotel portrays itself as a “hotel” but really is just a hostel. The room itself was basically a box room. The door opened directly onto the bed, only one bedside table and not enough plugs for the both of us to charge our phones at the same time with adapters. Packing to go home was a nightmare to the point we had to utilise to hallway as there wasn’t enough room within the room itself. We had to climb over the bed to get to the other side of the room as there was next to no storage and to get into my suitcase this had to be lifted onto the bed. There was barely enough room for one person and I’m tiny, let alone two. The bathroom was tiny with a shower-“bath” which even at 5’2ft I wouldn’t fit in and the bath didn’t drain properly. We complained that there was no hot water on our first day however the maintenance man came up and told us it was our fault and we had been turning the tap the wrong way and would not listen when we said we had turned it both ways for at least 20 minutes which was extremely rude to be blaming guests and BLATANTLY LYING given that I found taps under the sink which adjusted the heat going to the shower (probably turned down to save money-see pictures). The shower curtain stuck to you when you take a shower and I’m not certain how thoroughly it is cleaned which made me feel sick thinking how many other people of varying hygiene this stuck to! Despite the shower curtain the shower leaked water all over the floor which is a health hazard. The sink was barely a sink, I’ve seen much bigger in airplanes and there was no toilet brush for the poorly flushing loo. There was absolutely no room to even turn around. The tiles were cracked and the mirror had grey marks all over it. we asked for extra towels which were all taken away and we were given only one towel and a smaller towel between the two of us when they cleaned the room after 3 days. The bed was so uncomfortable I had to go out and get heat packs and ibuprofen gel for my back. There were doors being slammed, people knocking on doors throughout the night and early hours and people talking and shouting all through the night, I’m only thankful we weren’t on the sixth floor where the communal kitchen was! I sleep with silicone ear plugs and an eye mask and even I struggled to sleep for more than an hour thanks to the noise in the hallway and also the extremely noisy air conditioning which could be heard above my ear plugs. If you want a good night sleep this place is impossible. The room had no tea and coffee making facilities, you had to leave the room and go upstairs to the 6th floor where there were often crowds of people drinking alcohol in the kitchen and you were on top of people to get to the coffee machine. There was no tea or milk, only this disgusting creamer stuff and with the limited worktop space I had to make my tea (which I had to buy myself) under the microwave where I was rudely told to move from twice by an impart Eastern European woman. The folks running the Belnord Hotel were friendly and accommodating. The rooms are small, just large enough for the bed, two small night stands and one person to walk around it at a time. The bathroom also small. But, your in NYC so it's not a big deal. Also, it was very clean. The amenities included a rooftop outdoor area that was really nice. Next to the outdoor rooftop area was a kitchen that included free coffee and tea and a snack machine. Again not the Plaza but it was the least expensive hotel I could find in the area I wanted to be in, the Upper West Side near the park. I would highly recommend this hotel so long as you understand what you get for your $$$.

Had a lovely stay here for 7 nights. Facilities are fairly basic but the hotel is very clean and comfortable, and great value compared to other hotels in NYC. Staff were friendly. Location is excellent. Free coffee/tea/hot chocolate 24/7. The WiFi is a little patchy but it did work most of the time. The boilers can be a bit loud but it's usually not for too long.

This is my first time in New York and this hotel was closest to the things we wanted to do. The hotel is a fair price and the staff is very nice, especially the cleaning ladies. When we got there, they gave us a key to a room that was already occupied. After that they gave us a key to room that had no ac. They ended up putting us in another room with great ac, close to the little cafe they have and their patio. It was the best. I would definitely stay there again.

First, I cannot say this hotel will work for folks with significant mobility limitations. The rooms are just big enough (including space for luggage). Bathrooms are very small. Tall stairs at the entrance.

I booked this bc I couldn't do hostiles while traveling with my mother. For a whole hotel room, the price point is great. Everything is clean and looks newly renovated. The inside is very cute. no bad smells, comfortable temperature. 24 hour tea and coffee service. No regrets booking.

Small but Quaint!! Great Staff and Great Cleaning Staff!!! Everyone is friendly and professional... We were in walking distance of everything including a 2 min walk to the subway!! Our room was very up to date and the location of the hotel felt safe and inviting! 5 stars!!

Over a series of phone calls I had to explain what customer service is. I forgot my computer charger which was completely my fault. I sent them a prepaid box the day I returned home (domestic) and it took about 3 weeks to get it back. No one would own the situation to help me verify the charger was located nor did anyone take charge to make sure it was sent off. If you don't become a drill sergeant you probably won't get what you need if you are not there in person. They probably would have continued to blame the mail guy for not grabbing the package if I hadn't called everyday at week 3. I had to call to follow up ever step. Very frustrating service.

So happy to have found this place! They have an awesome happy hour with lively music and a lively crowd. There is a separate room downstairs where you can have a party which is so rare in Manhattan. They have beer pong, kareoke, trivia night....and even jazz night! There is no reason to go anywhere else :) Ronnie the new owner/manager is awesome. He has a great Irish accent and makes you feel so welcome. Looking forward to going again.

The entire staff at the Parlour is more than welcoming and they are all great hosts. They took my very large party on a last minute call and worked late to host us without complaint. The bartenders are lively and hard workers while the manager and owner are cooperative and friendly.

Large Irish pub on the UWS. Great selection of beers, cocktails and wine. Great locale to watch sports.

Went on a Sunday night and the pub was relaxed and the staff was friendly. I enjoyed the experience enough to go back on Tuesday and had a different experience. Hip hop music was blasting so loud that I couldn't talk to the person at my table. My ears are still ringing.

Gluten free with a Love/hate relationship with this place. Love the bar and service when I sit there hate the table service. If you order a burger have them grill the GFbun or it will fall apart 30 seconds after you get it. Dedicated fryer so fries are great! Skip the lemonade it’s a glass full of ice that you get 3 sips of for $2.00 no refills. Happy hour drinks are relatively good. With a limited choice of late night GF on upper west side I eat here a fair amount. burgers are good.

In New York there is an inflation of burger joints. They are ubiquitous, they are similar and each of them wants to give their own peculiar twist. I could not find one here. The food is ordinary although good. According to my kid he had the best cookie and cream shake ever (but he is only 15 ?). I would go back for its convenience and overall good service.

Food is delicious and so is the service. They attentive and to top it off they very good looking guys and girls as part of the staff. ;)
Only complain would be the drinks. Beer, water, soda and even wipe cream all warm. SMH
Other than that good prices and I can’t complain about the quality.

Great burgers, but decided to try the chicken & waffles this time. Chicken and buttered syrup were exquisite, but wish the waffle was more crispy. Very friendly host/hostess, however server staff was not very attentive. Overall great food but service could be better.

A very good place for great burgers. If a burger is too much for you, the menu has also a good section of salads as well. Attentive , friendly and helpful staff. Try out the sweet potato fries together with the 5 Napkin burger.
