The desk staff and front entrance staff are the best I’ve encountered anywhere in the world. Great location in the East Village. We’ll definitely be back.

I was hoping for something much better. The rooms are so poorly designed and are outdated. Every knob and switch in the room is broken. The light in the bathroom would turn on randomly. The AC vent straddles the curtain and struggle to hold temperature never mind stay silent. The carpet is extremely worn and tired. I stay all over the city and this is the last place I will stay when I come back.

Nice location and stylish hotel. I felt comfortable. Everything was ok except two things. The first and most important the air conditioning is working very loud, it noisy 24/7.. second is there is no coffee machine in the room. There is the full minibar but no coffee. You either need to order in or go down to get it. This is a very basic thing, it is essential to be able to do your own coffee in the room.

Despite the so-called “upgrade” the room received was not the room pictured when making the reservation.

Excellent location near cooper union and NYU. Rooms are pretty small for the exorbitant price charged per night. One can pay the same for a 5 stars much larger rooms in hotels (Hilton, Hyatt, Westin, Intercontinental, etc) in elsewhere in Manhattan.

The staff was excellent, helpful, and very professional! I was only there for 12 hours but they made my stay great! Thank you!

The hotel service is good. Although there is no gym, it also provides a gym across the street where you can exercise, which is very considerate.

Next to Cooper Square, there is a MUJI store 100 meters away. The service is generally satisfactory, but the details need to be improved.

Slightly pricey, but good food and great atmosphere.

Probably one of the best Happy Hour oysters in town. It gets busy so if you don't want to wait get there right at the beginning of happy hour. They also had other daily specials that I will be returning to try.

I love this place. The $1 happy hour oysters and clams is the best. The staff are charming.

Sunday night Lobsterloosa, oysters on half shell, mussels are fresh & yummy. Gin Mule with lavender salt is a must try cocktail! Attractive interior with upscale comfy atmosphere & great waiters.

Great happy hour deals. Portions for happy hour food are small but tasty. Always enjoy the oysters. The staff is usually on point as well. Highly recommend.

Great space. The happy hour spritz was terrific. The bar staff were very personable and informative. Other patrons were nice too. Seating in the bar area did fill up so bear that in mind.

I just got back from France and had made an effort to stop by because of all the rave reviews. I am giving it a 1 star because of my extreme disappointment and the critics overstated comments. Yes, this venue has perfected the presentation of the food, but don’t expect it to be as grand as it looks. The cheesecake crust was too sweet and not good flavor. I’ve had better Sara Lee frozen cheesecake at the grocery store. The scone, cookie, and croissant were really dry.

Overall, it’s a cute place for lunch with a friend because of the decor and presentation of the food, but food is not even close to way the critics described it or comparable to a real French bakery. Completely overrated and disappointing.

Place was nice and clean. The food was ok. Eggs good, pancakes good. Hash horrible. I am a has lover and this hash wasn't the best. Tasted gamey. I would prefer good old canned hash to that stuff. It was also crowded so suggest u come early or be prepared to wait.

Food wasn't bad, nothing remarkable, but the service was horrible. Went for dinner with a group and the place was fairly empty. Despite plenty of open tables (and table remained open all night so it wasn't a capacity issue) they made us wait 30-45 min to sit. Pretty sure the only reason we got a table was because we kept asking and pointed out open tables we could fit at. Server was non existent throughout our meal, we had to track her down several times to order drinks for the group. When she did make it to the table she was rude and clearly in a rush to leave our table. To top it off the screwed up the bill at the end.

Lovely coffee shop. Great location, big enough to accommodate a lot of people. Free wifi, lots of places to plug in.. Which means there are lot of people camped out there for a long time. Good dessert selection if you are into that!

I had a bagel with cream cheese for breakfast and a hot tea. Both were so delicious! Also, I picked up one of their unique juice blends for my boyfriend. He loved it and said it helped pick him up for the morning. I recommend trying everything they have there. Their variety was spectacular. I was visiting the city and stopped here for breakfast, definitely a great choice!
22.10.2016 Jeff
I love the Bean. I love the friendly staff with their great sense of humor. I love their cushioned seating. I love their interesting herbal teas. It's often packed, but it's packed because it's a great place to hang out and work. I wouldn't necessarily recommend it for a good place to have a nice long co-working session---it's not quite conducive to that. Think "I want to write or read by myself in a comfy space."
