The Beekman, A Thompson Hotel, by Hyatt in New York

The staff were amazing! I’ve finally found a hotel I would confidently recommend. It’s far better than other Fine Hotel Collection properties in the same price range. The Bar Room restaurant was excellent as well.

I had an incredible experience at the Beekman Hotel. We stayed there for a city hall wedding, and it was an exceptional experience. The staff was incredibly courteous and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. They were always willing to help and make suggestions. The rooms were spotless, and the daily cleaning services made it feel like we had just arrived to the room each day. The vibrant atmosphere of the hotel maintained a high standard of service throughout our stay. The hotel administration and staff were very helpful in planning our wedding photoshoot. Overall, I would give the Beekman Hotel a perfect score of 5 out of 5. My wife and I had a wonderful time there and will definitely be returning in the future.

Beautiful hotel in an excellent location close to the subway and MTA buses. Our room on the fifth floor was tidy and comfortable for our two night stay.

Little things that could've been improved:
- There are three elevators, but one of the elevators' indicator lights doesn't work or make a sound, so there were a few times we almost missed it.
- There was some kind of event one night, so sound traveled up to our room lasting until after midnight
- We're more than capable of opening doors by ourselves, but for a 5-star hotel with doormen, there were a number of times when we approached/reached for the door and they either just watched us struggle with the heavy door, or reached for it belatedly. Maybe it's because we don't look like what they expect a Beekman guest to look like, but I would've appreciated 5-star service for such an establishment.

Pros:
- Check-in was easy and the front desk employees were friendly and helpful. My partner asked for a toothbrush and razor because he forgot his at home, and they brought a dental kit and a shaving kit up shortly after.
- Their free turn down service was a nice touch. After coming back on our first night, room service tidied up our room and supplied us with fresh water bottles.
- Easy to store our bags after checkout and before our evening train back home.

Overall I enjoyed our stay in such a convenient location and would definitely return.

I visited the bar at the Beekman Thompson in New York City, and the experience was polished, elegant, and genuinely enjoyable. The service was attentive and smooth, with staff who made sure we had everything we needed without hovering.

We ordered drinks that were well-balanced, beautifully crafted, and arrived quickly, which really added to how seamless the night felt. We also tried the profiterole, and while the pastry itself was light and tasty, it didn’t come with any chocolate sauce, which was a small disappointment. Still, the overall quality of the bar, the presentation, and the ambiance more than made up for it. The space worked perfectly for conversation, and despite being a stylish spot, it never felt overcrowded or chaotic.

Overall, it’s a great place for a classy night out—solid drinks, thoughtful service, a luxurious atmosphere, and the kind of setting that makes an evening feel special even with a small hiccup.

For a hotel that's over a hundred years old, it's remarkably well-maintained. Its location in Lower Manhattan means the narrow streets are understandable, and while the entrance and lobby aren't huge, that's expected given the prime real estate. It's conveniently located not far from One World Trade Center and the Charging Bull, with a subway station less than 200 meters away. New York City's subway system is very well-developed, despite being a bit rundown. The staff provided excellent service, with quick check-in and check-out. The room was also very clean.

The room was impeccably clean, and the hotel boasts a luxurious vintage aesthetic. The bellhop efficiently assisted with parking and handling our luggage. The Western-style restaurant on the ground floor offered delicious à la carte options. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay, and the staff were exceptionally polite.
