The Bernic boasts an excellent location with numerous dining options nearby. It is within walking distance to the Times Square area, Grand Central Station, and subway stations (both local and express). Our room was notably spacious compared to other New York hotels of similar style and era. The linens were exceptional, the shower was delightful, and the heated floor in the bathroom was a welcome feature. The front desk staff were extremely helpful. We would definitely choose to stay here again.

"Wow", is the first word that comes to mind when I think of my stay at The Bernic Hotel. My greeting from the gentleman, Mr. Andres, was phenomenal. I stayed at this location for my birthday weekend, 02/2026. Once I informed him, he surprised me and went above & beyond. Although I did have one "hickup", Miss Karla (The Supervisor on duty) not only listened to my grievance, but empathized with me and sought a remedy that was fair and reasonable; doing so with a smile and cheerful disposition. When you have an unsatisfied guest in front of you and you are able to keep a smile on your face, that says alot about your customer service & work ethic. Miss Karla, I commend you and need to tell you, "You deserve a General Manager position." One last point, my mother had a very strange request. She had a taste for chocolate. Miss Brittney, went to the extent of not only getting my mother some chocolate, but getting her multiple pieces of chocolate. Miss Brittney's customer service made my mother's night; I couldn't stop her from talking about that act of kindness. The rooms are surprisingly larger than most rooms in NYC and I love the fact that you have name brand soaps, shampoos and conditioners. Keep up the amazing work Bernic Staff!

Loved this super cute and cozy hotel.

The location is excellent. It's about a 7-minute walk to Grand Central and roughly 15 minutes to Times Square and Rockefeller Center. You’re close to major attractions without being surrounded by the noise and crowds.

There are plenty of food options nearby, including bagel shops, delis, markets, pizza spots, and coffee shops. CVS and Walgreens are also just up the block, which is very convenient for water or any last-minute essentials.

Rooms: We booked a corner unit, and the size was impressive for NYC. I’ve stayed in much smaller rooms in the city, so this was a pleasant surprise. I highly recommend booking the corner king room. The bed and pillows were clean, and extremely comfortable. The bathroom was small but the heated floors were such a nice touch!

We also loved the room’s balcony and got some really great photos out there with the buildings in the background!

The staff were wonderful. Friendly, polite, and welcoming every time we entered or left the hotel.

I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting NYC for their holidays

Rooms are ok - not worth paying extra for a balcony. No view and the door is not great which means drafts and smell of smoke wafting through from outside. The generators are so noisy, as is the heating, which does disrupt your sleep. Staff are nice and the rooms themselves are modern and well decorated. Close to tourist spots.

Really liked this hotel. Our first trip to NYC. Rooms were NYCity sized (small), 2 people max, but clean and comfortable. There are only 5 rooms per floor and the balcony overlooking the street was just fantastic. Location was perfect. Abit off the beaten path so the constant noise level was significantly less. We included breakfast and the server everyday was Andrea. She was the best! I do not recommend the continental breakfast. Instead ask to order off the menu at a discount. Night front desk guy was super nice and helpful same for lady during the day. There was a younger girl who seemed kind of annoyed by all my questions but whatever. Overall a fantastic experience we will definately be back.

We stayed at The Bernic Hotel for two nights this month, so the price was definitely on the higher side, but that’s to be expected in NYC during the holidays. The hotel itself is a cute, small boutique property under the Hilton umbrella, which we really liked.

The location is excellent—very convenient for getting around the city and close to so many attractions. The rooms are on the smaller side, but they’re cozy and thoughtfully designed, making good use of the space. The beds were very comfortable, which is always a big plus after long days of walking.

We did have an issue with the bathroom, specifically the shower not getting hot water. Maintenance was called and they were able to fix it, but it was still a bit of an inconvenience.

Overall, it was a good stay. Comfortable, well-located, and charming, with just a few minor hiccups. We’d consider staying again, especially outside of peak holiday pricing.

The room assigned was on the internal side, unfortunately very noisy and the double glazing does not help eliminate the noise. I asked for a room change but it wasn't possible because it was full but they provided earplugs. Impeccable cleanliness and perfect services.

Fun service staff, tasty food and the perfect atmosphere for a great night out. With plenty of options to choose from, we shared five starters between two people in order to taste as much as possible - each was unique and incredibly tasty. I've experienced plenty of bland Mexican food and this was the complete opposite - though I'm not sure how authentic. The upper loft-like seated dinning area was fun and overall the whole evening great.

This is a pretty good Mexican restaurant, a nice place to have a sit-down meal or just drinks with a group of people. The food is all pretty good, so you probably won't go wrong with whatever you order, and the service is pretty pleasant and efficient.

I enjoyed the whole experience at Dos Caminos. The service was excellent. We were somewhat in a hurry and the server was very fast and efficient. The fish tacos were the best I’ve ever had. The only drawback is no free chips and salsa with the meal.

Food was fine but they give you a VERY short time to eat and be out of there. When I arrived at 6:15 they said we had to be out of there by 7:15pm. And then right at 7:05 they were there with the check telling us that we had to be out by 7:15. Felt like we had to scarf down our food with little to no time to enjoy drinks. VERY disappointing. If you are looking for a nice relaxing evening do not come here. They give you just over an hour to order get your food and eat.

The quality of the food is far from what I was expecting - a simple chicken breast was overly greasy and unnecessarily fatty. The service was sporadic and when gratuity reflected such - the server seemingly became mute.

I would suggest looking elsewhere for a good meal - there are plenty of options within close proximity.

Excellent selection of wines, meat and fish with views and a full bar. Service was reliable and the atmosphere was casual/cozy. This is a family - friendly restaurant which made for a noisier experience.

Pricey but breakfast was excellent! Pancakes with blueberries and almonds was served with generous amount of warm maple syrup on the side. Four personal sized bottles of jams accompanied toast for my egg white omelette with salad. Delicious! Coffee is expensive- $12 a pot for two but served with steamed milk on the side. Service was also excellent. Compared with other restaurants in the area, prices are not so bad and food is much better than our other experiences. Definitely would comeback here! Would give five stars for quality but dropped one star for price!

I heard these were the best bagels in NYC, so I decided to try them out! They truly are very tasty and there's so much to choose from, you'll definitely find your fix. They are super filling too, I had one at 10 o'clock and didn't feel hungry until 6 hours later! The only bad thing about this is the waiting time. You'll easily wait 30 minutes to an hour to get your food, I went on a Wednesday morning and the line was about 40 minutes long. You can use the express line though if you're okay with making your own bagel, you can order your bagel and what you want on it and you'll get everything on the side. It's so so much faster and still tastes amazing of course!

The Best Bagel in the city. Bagels are made fresh in the store. Tons of different flavored cream cheese from savory to sweet and a large variety of spreads and toppings for your bagel, you name it they have it. They also offer other sandwiches but I have not tried them yet, I bet you they are also good. The only down side is the poor customer service, ambiance not so appealing and the long line. You don’t want to come to this place during lunch rush hours for you will spend 30mins to 1 hour wait in line. The management need to improve their method, organize the store, and improve their system. The store has potential to do better business.

Pumpernickel perfection!!! We got several bagels to go... The pumpernickel flavour is amazing!!!! Highly recommend trying it if you remotely like that taste! I wish the cinnamon raisin had more cinnamon and raisins. All the bagels were perfectly cooked. I haven't eaten in, and the next time we're in town, I definitely will try that experience! Yum!!! The bagels were so fresh, they were still hot even after walking back to the apartment. Couldn't ask for better! They are big and worth very minute!

They were correct... I’ve only eaten one bagel in this city but sod the rest. The lady in the red neckerchief was super nice (I thought she’d be mean) would 100% eat there again, short wait but well worth it.

The short story is: possibly the best bagel in NYC and that's saying something. The taste is wonderful and they're HUGE. Great chew, great flavors, very fresh. Some helpful hints: be prepared to wait. We waited for 30 minutes when the line was to, but not outside, the door. When we left the line was outside into the street so I imagine the wait was even longer. I am sure locals come here, but many tourists do and - apparently - some have never had a bagel before so they're sampling the cream cheese, asking questions, etc. Nothing wrong with that, but it does slow things down somewhat. Also, they don't say "spread" or "shmear," they say cream cheese sandwich and they mean it. It's a A LOT of cream cheese in those bagels, but WOW is it good. We had apple cinnamon - delicious. The breakfast sandwich was delicious as well. Definitely worth the wait - I'd go back.
