Great stay at the Lowes hotel. The rooms were extremely clean with comfortable beds. The service was excellent, every employee I interacted with was friendly and helpful. Roxanne at reception went out of her way to honor a request and make sure I had the best stay possible. And the location really can't be beat. Convention center, reading terminal market, fashion district, market and broad subway lines, theater district, center city restaurants and shopping all within walking distance! Will definitely want to stay here again for my next Philly visit!

I can not say enough about the staff at the Philadelphia Loews Hotel. They are always accommodating and they make you feel welcome from check in to check out. Rooms and Hotel are very clean. Beds are comfortable. Perfect if you are attending any event at the convention center

It’s a very average hotel at best. The lobby is pretty underwhelming. The floors are structured like a maze, making it confusing to get around. We booked a king bed room and were told that only double beds are available. The elevators barely work and are very slow.

Probably wouldn’t stay here again. Genuinely surprised by the high rating.

While the hotel itself is nice, my experience was extremely disappointing and uncomfortable. The security officer, Jamal, was rude, hostile, and unwelcoming from the moment he approached us.

A friend and I stayed here while visiting Philadelphia for a Mariah the Scientist concert. We checked in around 4:30 PM and were originally placed on the 23rd floor, which was perfect because we had specifically requested a higher-level room. Shortly after getting to our room, and before leaving for the concert, our TV volume was on 15.

Around 5:30–6:00 PM, Jamal came to our door saying we had received several noise complaints. That was very confusing considering we had just arrived and weren’t being loud. When we calmly asked what the complaints were about, his whole attitude changed once he realized it was just two women in the room. He immediately became disrespectful and aggressive.

He told us we needed to change rooms because “there were all white judges on our floor and they weren’t tolerating us.” He also said he was “trying to help us because we are Black,” but that we were making it harder than it needed to be. He then added that if another security officer had to come up, he would “send a white man” who would immediately remove us from the hotel.
Being that we were from out of town with no immediate way home, we felt pressured and agreed to move. However, instead of moving us to a similar floor, we were taken from the 23rd floor down to the 9th floor — even though we had requested and already been given a higher-level room at check-in.

The entire interaction made us feel uncomfortable, unsafe, and honestly discriminated against. We returned from the concert around 11:30 PM, but we ended up leaving at 4:00 AM instead of staying the rest of our reservation because we did not feel welcomed or respected. No one should feel targeted or threatened after paying the same amount as every other guest.
This experience was deeply upsetting and completely unacceptable.

We stayed here for two nights over Christmas and overall had a very pleasant experience. We were upgraded to a corner room with windows on two sides, which is surprisingly rare in city hotels. Even the bathroom had a window, which we loved. The view wasn’t perfect, but already very nice.

The location is fantastic — easy to walk almost everywhere in Center City.

Service was friendly, and breakfast at Bank & Bourbon downstairs was delicious (we ate Eggs Benedict two days in a row — the crispy potato skins were great!).

However, a couple of issues kept me from giving a full 5 stars:

🚽 Room Maintenance Could Be Better

The toilet tank wouldn’t refill unless we manually nudged the float ball every now an then.

Because of that, we had to put the tank lid on the floor often so we could keep fixing it.

Also, our bed sheet had a tear — not a big deal, but unexpected for a 4-star hotel.

We didn’t request a room change since we had already unpacked and the issues weren’t major enough to bother the front desk during the holiday.

📍 Bottom Line

We genuinely enjoyed our stay and would return — a few small improvements in room maintenance would easily make this a 5-star experience. Great comfort, great location, and overall a great choice in Philadelphia.

The room is modern but a bit small. It is difficult to compare American hotels with Asian hotels where amenities like shaving and toothbrushing needs are also met. No re-usable paper slippers are available in the room as well, not to mention free bottled water. The price is not highly competitive though. One good thing is that extension of my checkout time to 4pm only required me to pay an extra small amount of money which I fully appreciated that.

Great hotel in building with character. Room was spotless and remodeled relatively recently. Awesome location. Staff very helpful and friendly. Beds are very comfortable if you like firm mattresses. One star off room due to limited amount of power outlets and low water pressure in sink. I will stay here next time in town. Highly recommend!

Great Hotel right in downtown. Walking distance to many places you will want to visit in Philadelphia.

The rooms are very nice and clean. The bathrooms and showers are very clean and updated.

The front desk was very nice and accommodating.

2 blocks from Redding Market Place.
About 5 blocks from Convention center.

Many other great places and sites nearby.

Excellent hotel. The location was perfect- right near many restaurants, shopping areas, and bars. The hotel was very clean and the staff were all very helpful. The gym, wet sauna, and dry sauna are included with your stay. The wifi signal was strong and I did not have any issues with it. The bed was extremely comfy and the view from the 24th floor was gorgeous. The hotel bar was convenient as well. Excellent experience, highly recommend staying here.

The customer service was abysmal. The staff were not knowledgeable about their own hotel spa hours and amenities and they told me to look online instead of attempting to provide a solution. Additionally, when their cleaning staff accidentally threw away my contact solution and I didn’t realize until late that night I called the front desk asking for assistance locating some. They simply told me they couldn’t help. They also were unhelpful when I asked what pharmacy would be open at that hour. And they said they didn’t know. This is not how a top hotel service staff behave.

I'm here generally once a week during the fall-spring for Bocce and it's by far my favorite Bar that we go to throughout the year. The Beer selection is pretty fantastic for a "center city" location, and the food is excellent, if a little on the pricier side for my commuter sensibilities.

But, what I really appreciate about this place is the friendliness of the staff. They're prompt and always willing to help. This week, when I needed to store flowers to surprise someone, they even offered to hold them for me so that the surprise would work well.

Census Bureau had their Christmas Party here twice, great service from our waitresses. Plus the food as part of the buffet was amazing. ???

Basic sports bar. We went one night after the usual dinner rush. Was told that there was a half hour wait for tables even though we passed plenty of empty tables and booths as we walked around the enormous bar. Ended up eating at the bar. Food was good. Great beer selection. Very noisy.

My husband and I recently hosted a "welcome drinks" event at the Field House the night before our wedding. Maura helped us with the different private event options, and she was great to work with and quick to respond. We ended up using the upstairs bar space, which worked out perfect for our group of about 30 people. They had a good beer selection, the bartender was great, it was a nice laid back vibe, and everyone enjoyed themselves. Would definitely recommend!

Located very close to convention center so maybe they had a tough week with a major convention in town, but seriously...the food and service here is below average. The wait staff are tired and uninterested. If you want a decent draft beer and want to watch your favorite team, this is an adequate choice but don't expect even average food and service.

Terrible. You can’t be a minor to be admitted entry. You have to have identification and be over 18. Doesn’t make sense it’s a god damn bowling alley. Your policy is garbage

The place was great, I personally enjoyed very much. I loved the customer service from the waitress. The only thing was the waiting time but i won’t take off a star because while I waited I had an amazing burger, delicious. Definitely going back.

We had a team party at Lucky Strike and had great fun. Food was amazing. But our pro bowlers think that the lanes were not up to the mark and had oil all over.
30.11.2017 Dmitry
This place is huge, especially for a bowling alley in the middle of a city. Modern equipment, clean, and we'll run. Can very busy, so pick a non prime time. The drink and food menu is decent too.

Great food, first time there, so much fun. Hope the company brings us back next year ?
