Courteous staff, clean rooms, amazing decor and nice amenities. Location was perfect for us.

Name a surface at this hotel and you may find it is FILTHY. From the check-in desk to each & every rug, to the walls and baseboard to the interior/exterior of the elevators to the guest rooms to the couches in the reception area. They claim they are starting a major renovation. That does not excuse ROUTINE MAINTENANCE and CLEANING.

Our room was not ready until 5:20pm (check in is at 3pm). When we got to the room, it looked dirty and there was no toilet paper. We were tired and had to wait in the lobby. The next morning, housekeeping came in at 8am and told us we needed to check out by

I've had enjoyable stays here in the past, up until this stay. Basically, practically every component of the property was filthy. The floors, counters, walls, baseboards and particularly the rugs --- not only had they not been professionally cleaned, they weren't even vacuumed. The velvet couch had a variety of hair & lint. The chairs were stained and worn.
Tavern experience: martinis were microscopic (and pricey). Chia breakfast bowl featured an unripe pear and overall, was not very good.
When I mentioned the gross lack of cleanliness throughout the facility, the manager launched into their renovations that they are launching. I said that clearly did not discount the obvious lack of routine maintenance.
On a positive note, some of the employees were pleasant.

What a delightful experience. Location is in the heart of historic Philly. You can walk almost all the “sites to see”.The staff at check in were friendly and knowledgeable. Coffee and water available at main area. Very clean and the decor is so fun. Our room was fantastic. Love the extra amenities like the lavender towelettes. Quiet room despite being next to a busy area. A really lovely stay. I would absolutely recommend.

This would have been 5 stars but I had a few issues. First off, this is a great location. Decor and rooms are really nice. Customer service is good. Why no coffee makers in the room? I was on west coast time, it was really difficult to get up and out for coffee in the lobby before 9am. I missed it everyday. The club upstairs plays music until late. If you are on the upper floor you’ll hear it. Overall a great stay and would recommend.

My husband and I came into Philly for a long weekend to enjoy some live music at the Linc. We wanted to stay near some history, while still being close to restaurants and entertainment. This location was impeccable! We had a wonderful stay…this was also our early anniversary present for ourselves, and Kimpton spoiled us with a custom framed photo with our love song printed inside, yummy treats, and a complimentary bottle of wine! Wow! We are lucky! Highly recommend this stay! Thank you Hotel Monaco!

Very nice hotel in a great location if you’re doing the city tour thing. Rooms were on the small size, as advertised, and the bathroom had a vent box which took up a bit of space. The decor was funky but fun.
The big downside for us was no bell service when we drove up. There were 4 or 5 valets, but we were self parking around the corner, but no one to help us with our bags. We found someone after checking in, but not good to have two older folks have to lug their bags around. Otherwise it was very nice.

The food is great! However, the service is terrible. No one is ever at the register and everyone who walks by says they don't have one.

Amazing service. Staff was very friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had everything. Food was pretty good overall. Great place for a quick and satisfying bite to eat with a good variety of foods. Healthy options available.

Always love the tomato basil soup with flat bread. They make flat breads fresh which is great. Just wish they started early. Service is usually good as well.

I work at 5th and Walnut and go here a lot for lunch. Great sandwiches and really really good soup. The soup and half sandwich meal is a perfect lunch option. A little bit pricey but based on the location it's worth it for how delicious and quick it is

It was never a good experience the first time. But I tried it a second time for something small like Coffee. First and foremost the service was extremely slow. I had gone there with family and ordered 2 lattes. It took them almost like half an hour to make the beverages. This was the time when the restaurant was empty and not much crowd. I can only imagine what happens at rush hour. When the lattes finally came they tasted so dull. It was like they did not add any espresso shots or may be just added half a shot. I don’t know. The taste was not at all good and very sub par if you compare it to a Starbucks or any other coffee shop for the matter. This coffee was the worst. This experience left me and my family feeling disappointed and we vowed never to go there again. Avoid if you can.
