A manager must not work here because we've been trying to talk to the manager for about a week. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to my worst enemy. From beginning to end, this hotel had nothing but problems.
1. valet was $65 a night...nobody helped us with our bags and took them 30+ minutes to get our car every request. (The hotel next door had way better service for their guests).
2. the lock to our hotel room wasn't charged so we had to get let in by a technician.
3. our sink didn't drain.
4. The shower didn't have hot water.

So we were given another room down the hall. The new room was no better.
5. The door didn't shut all the way
6. The nightstand light flickered.
7. The toilet started leaking water.
8. Then finally, we found out our fridge didn't work so all of the food we were planning to take home... WASTED. Hundreds of dollars down the drain.

We still have yet to talk to a manager about our experiences. Instead, the staff gives us the runaround. This hotel was so bad I would much rather drive 3 hours there and back home than stay here ever again. I'm sure nobody cares because that's the silent part out loud. Nobody can even return a message to us.

After staying at the hotel for five days, I accidentally left two scarves and a purse in the closet when I checked out. The items were not expensive, but they had strong sentimental value because they were gifts. I called the next day to report what happened, but it took four separate calls before I was finally able to speak with someone. When I did, they simply told me to check a website, which ended up being a complete waste of time. Nothing was ever resolved.

For a hotel with the reputation and price point of this one, I expected a much more responsible and helpful response. My friend from the area even told me I might have better luck finding my items on Craigslist. That says a lot.

I understand that forgetting the items was my mistake — I was rushing to get to the airport and didn’t double-check the closet — but the lack of effort to help recover them was extremely disappointing.

What made the stay even worse was another issue during the week. On Wednesday there was a notice saying that hot water would not be available from 10 AM to 4 PM due to repairs. I don’t know the reason for the repair, but in February, with freezing temperatures and snow all over the streets, this was already far from ideal. Unfortunately, when I tried to take a shower that night at 11 PM, there was still no hot water.

To be fair, the staff in the restaurant area was very nice, and the location of the hotel is excellent. However, the lack of responsibility, responsiveness, and honesty regarding the lost items unfortunately outweighs those positive aspects.

Overall, this was a very frustrating experience. I’ve stayed at much simpler hotels that showed far more honesty and professionalism — for example, I once left my AirPods and a charger at a small hotel in Washington and they mailed them back to me weeks later.

Unfortunately, this stay was a huge disappointment. I would not recommend this hotel.

The room was clean and situated in a convenient location. A lot of the historical sites are walking distance. Those that are farther, no problem, the metro is very near and well the rest is being able to fit time in order to do all the activities that you want.

No hot water for a whole night (4pm-10am) and and the people at front desk shows no respect at all. Won’t recommend. Don’t go.

Fantastic as usual. Good location and good staff

Over the last two months, I have called the group reservation at the hotel SIX times looking for a group rate for my daughter's wedding in the area. Rebecca their only group manager per their operator, never called back. Operator gave me her email address to send an email with my details, I did it twice, with no response. If they don't want my business, the common courtesy is to say we are full. Hotel Monaco next door was so nice and responded to me immediately. I am "Bonvoy Platinum for life" and I feel very insulted!!! I am sure the hotel is very nice, but the staff is not good!

I stayed here for my wedding room block and immediately paid for my wedding suite upon booking in April. Since, the hotel has tried to charge me 3 additional times for my room cost, despite it being fully paid. My wedding was over a month ago and I just now am getting another charge for the same room, that had been fully paid for. I’ve spoken to the hotel countless times and somehow, every few weeks, I receive a charge for this room again. I do not recommend booking this hotel for your wedding accommodations.

Staff was great. Elevators were down when we arrived but front desk agent took us up with our luggage in the service elevator. Discovered that evening that our sink in the bathroom did now work but someone fixed it first thing in the morning. Rooms are very big but need some upgrading. Beds weren’t the most comfortable but were tolerable. We had a nice view from our room of the city and waterfront. Location is close to restaurants and the train and bus.

Room was large and had good amenities. It was also in a fabulous location and walkable to all the places I wanted to go.

Great staff and service. Simone was playing very load music until 2am which is not the hotels fault but it was unusual.

The food is great! However, the service is terrible. No one is ever at the register and everyone who walks by says they don't have one.

Amazing service. Staff was very friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had everything. Food was pretty good overall. Great place for a quick and satisfying bite to eat with a good variety of foods. Healthy options available.

Always love the tomato basil soup with flat bread. They make flat breads fresh which is great. Just wish they started early. Service is usually good as well.
10.11.2017 Erik
I work at 5th and Walnut and go here a lot for lunch. Great sandwiches and really really good soup. The soup and half sandwich meal is a perfect lunch option. A little bit pricey but based on the location it's worth it for how delicious and quick it is

It was never a good experience the first time. But I tried it a second time for something small like Coffee. First and foremost the service was extremely slow. I had gone there with family and ordered 2 lattes. It took them almost like half an hour to make the beverages. This was the time when the restaurant was empty and not much crowd. I can only imagine what happens at rush hour. When the lattes finally came they tasted so dull. It was like they did not add any espresso shots or may be just added half a shot. I don’t know. The taste was not at all good and very sub par if you compare it to a Starbucks or any other coffee shop for the matter. This coffee was the worst. This experience left me and my family feeling disappointed and we vowed never to go there again. Avoid if you can.
