Sonesta Select Austin North in Austin

I guess from reading the reviews this location is a hit or miss. Tonight was a disaster. Took my parent in laws out to dinner and had a bad experience. Waited for over an hour to start getting our food. My parent in laws and wife got their food which was cold. After about an hour and a half I still didn't get my food. After all said and done we ended up leaving. They compensated the food for free and wanted to bring me out my food but I had enough and just wanted to get out of there. I do not recommend Applebee's. Go somewhere else.

My fiance and I visited this location around 9pm on a Sunday with my father-in-law. We were seated and had our drink orders promptly. After receiving our drinks, we ordered our food and an appetizer. We sat patiently for at least 30 minutes before our waitress came by and mentioned our food was almost ready. We received cold food and no silverware for another 5 minutes while we waved down our waitress. Then the forks we received still had food debris from before. Our waitress was confused when we told her our appetizer never came. Then she disappeared and returned with our appetizer. It was the only part of our meal that was hot. The food is usually fine at Applebees so this was a surprise that this location was a bust. So believe the negative reviews as they are pretty accurate for a typical day at this location. Management definitely needs to work on improving its team.

Not a great experience. Our waitress was MIA most of the time. It was empty in the restaurant. She wouldn't come over when we asked another waiter to get to help us. She argued with the waiter about us (we could hear). Rodney came back over and was so nice and took care of us. The manager was so nice too (Vanessa). Won't be coming back here but once we got help, they were great.

Bad experience with the waiter. I asked the counter if I can get seated, and they told me that I should order my food at the counter. I was confirmed by the receipt clearly showing "dine in". I got a seat, but they gave me my order in a plastic bag which is supposed to be "take away" order. After I left, they ASKED me to clear the table MYSELF and they said NO when I asked them if there's a trash can I can put the food in. Very confused and I don't know how I should behave to please the waiters.

The wings Are OK. The buffalo fries are vey soft (not fresh), I ended with throwing all the fries away.

This has to be one of the most unsaintary places. I just witnessed two people coming out of the kitchen with dirt on their clothes. You'd think you'd see flour or even sauces on them, but no. It's literally the dirt from the ground. I know because I can smell them a mile away and it ain't a good kind of smell. I regretted buying at this location. I left before I could pay. I did not even tell them to cancel their order. It was just too gruesome to be there. Danger alert. Stay away.

The food is good but the rest needs work.

I have been to this location twice.

The first thing to note is the location:

If you don’t know exactly what you’re are doing you will pass it while on 35. You have to exit around a mile before and sit through at least one light before you get there.

Service:

The first time we came our waitress was not attentive at all, so much so that I had to ask another server to find her. The problem was that she was so far gone that even that server couldn’t figure out where she was and gave up. At another point friends of hers came in for lunch so she sat with them totally blowing off her tables. The service was so bad that we wanted a do-over so the next day we went to the Georgetown location which was much better. Highly suggest Georgetown for the best experience.

A week later I stopped at this location again on my way to work. I figured it was just a bad waitress and would give this place another chance. This time wasn’t as bad except that the server wasn’t friendly and got my order wrong multiple times. In the end I just ate the wrong stuff because the first time I told him it was wrong it took over 10 minutes to fix (I ordered wedges and they gave me frys, wedges are extra). I went in for a quick meal where I ordered as soon as I sat down but was still there for over 40 minutes due to the slow service and incorrect orders.

This place probably wouldn’t be bad if they got new management or the manager were to fix the existing staff.

I’ve always enjoyed Buffalo Wild Wings but I don’t expect to be back to this location.

Food is underwhelming and atmosphere is very forced. Kitchens are very slow (not the server's fault).
