State Plaza Hotel in Washington

Excellent location the hotel was very clean and the staff was very friendly. I loved it.

a 7 walk from nearest metro, a bit far especially with luggage. there is bus stop just outside the door but not frequent.
the room was huge. there is coffee machine in the room which is great. some more a kettle which is rare!
but the building is a bit complicated as they gave me one in the north tower which requires walking cross a basement carpark from the front desk to reach my lift lobby.

The king suits are adorable. Lots of room for spreading out. The bathroom was so cute. Nicely updated. Great water pressure. You can drop your postcards from the mail chute on any floor, which was pretty cool. The only issue we had was the legs on the pullout sofa were worn out and wouldn’t stay put. The garage is super well attended, everything stays on lockdown for safety, cvs next door, and there’s dining on site. Service was great.

Room was clean. Maid service was prompt and excellent. The Garden Cafe was extremely convenient for breakfast and an early start. The one complaint I have: we called the front desk to ask where the Ice machine was. We were told that they would send ice up to the room. The ice never arrived.

Cute suite! Love older buildings! The living/dining area was large. Comfortable bedroom space. Comfortable bed.

Only complaint was the heavy smell of cigarette smoke when we first walked into the suite. The room was supposed to be non-smoking! We were compensated for the smelly inconvenience.

Just next to GWU, close to Lincoln memorial. Very good service.

Staying at the State Plaza Hotel was a great experience for my family!! We were in DC for vacation and wanted a clean, good hotel but not too fancy or pretentious and in a central location with easy walking to DC museums and sites. State met our expectations!
The room was a suite, and very clean with a nice bathroom, and a TV. The best part about the room was definitely the kitchen. It came with pots, pans, utensils, cups, a big fridge and freezer, microwave, coffee maker, and a nice little table.
The staff were very friendly, patient, and worked hard to make our stay good! Omer the doorman was cool, friendly and helpful! The little café is great for an early breakfast to start the day, and it also has good lunch options and a kid's menu. Overall, I was very pleased, and we would stay at State Plaza again. Highly recommend!
