The front desk was very welcoming! But the room was very disappointing. When we walked in the room, it looked OK. once we actually started getting settled, we noticed how dirty the room was and how unkept things were. if I’m paying over $300 a night for a room, I would think the room would be somewhat clean, including the sheets. I have stated hotels that are dirty, but the bedsheets are clean. It was dirty and the sheets were not cleaned. we called down to front desk so they could replace the sheets. We were leaving for an event and when we come back later that night they have sheets just sitting on the counter they didn’t even make the bed. Another thing that was very disappointing was when we went to check out the front desk had no idea how the valet worked. We asked him do we go downstairs or do we ask you and he did not know. I would not come back here.

The bed and couch were comfortable, and nobody used the couch as its expanded bed option, though so unsure of that comfort level. Staff were all friendly and willing to help if necessary.
The only complaints were with the bathroom. There was no exhaust fan. The sink sprayed if you didn't turn it on slowly and easily. The shower was only partially enclosed, so water tended to spray out. The shower in our room didn't drain as quickly as needed, so water filled the base. It probably just needs some drain cleaner or something.

NOT COMING BACK TO THIS HOTEL!!!
Customer service is terrible. Asked for band-aid because door knob scratched my back. They asked me to come to the customer service desk while I was bleeding.

Don’t count on sofa beds, it is as uncomfortable as it can be.
Restroom did not flush in one go. Had to flush 5 times.
It says parking/breakfast available but it is not free. Please don’t get confuse. It does not have basic customer service of what other normal hotels offer.

It shows $45 for valet parking but they charge $58 per day. Breakfast is $18 per head. There is no information of these charges while booking.

Definitely not worth the price. Would not be back here anymore.

Stayed here for my first solo trip! Staff was great, easily extended my stay for a night and OJ at the front desk is actually so nice and remembered my name! Always felt so safe and taken care of. Room was sooooo comfy. Microwave and mini fridge in the room! Had the salmon from the restaurant and loved it. Will be staying here in the future when I’m back in DC.

So we booked via a third party portal and due to delays in flight we got there later than expected. Reception was very courteous and welcoming. The booking we had said breakfast was I vludee this was found to not be the case on site. But no one says that, you're left to find this out after the fact with the explanation being that the policy was changed in June/July.

Moving on, the hotel is clean, from the lobby to the roof. It boast a pool and gym, but the pool was unavailable as it had no water in it (seemed more like a storage area). But loved the gym, located on the roof with and roof deck with a great view (pictures located below).

The rooms are AC, local TV and a mini fridge. Apparently room service doesn't come at additional cost but it's recommended that you request it to ensure that the room is cleaned daily or to receive new linen. The staff however is quite diligent and do provide when requested and timely done. The bathroom is spacious clean and adequately illuminated. Loved it.

Overall the stay was comfortable and convenient, I would return, but not the best experience out there.

While the facility was fine, I left a necklace, over a foot long that was my fathers. I called the same day I checked out to be told I had to wait until after the weekend. I did. Called first thing Monday morning to be informed by housekeeping they did not have it and probably threw it away. It cannot be replaced. I am left devastated. It was something they could have easily held on to for 24 hours but rather chose not to. While it isn't their fault it was left, it would have been nice to be able to retrieve it again. Unfortunately, it would from a great experience to ruining my trip and what good is left to say or recommend?

I'm quite disgusted with the level of customer service when it came to addressing the issue of several guys standing in the hallway 4:00 am in the morning. I called down to the office several times and to no avail. When I checked in the hotel, the service was superb but once the shift changed so did the level of service.

But I will strongly encourage my fraternity and anyone else I know traveling to the great city of D.C to stay somewhere else.

First time at this hotel, but this hotel was better than any hotel i stayed at by far. Very accommodating. Room was very clean, no stains on carpet or bed or couch. The room was fresh and clean every day. no musty smell. No mold in bathroom, everything was modern and the view was beautiful. I would stay here again. Hotel was clean from the entrance to the top floor.

Great location with really nice clean rooms. The size of the hotel was big enough to accommodate a family of 6. Will definitely come again if in DC.

Really good food.

Also ordered, chicken soup with coconut milk (forgot the name now), duck rolls and tofu penang curry.

Best Thai food in D.C. hands down. We go here once a week. It's the kinda place you can bring a date or your kids.

Descent city food. Frequented by locals, students and tourists. The layout is sort of cafeteria style, with wait service. The acoustics are a bit harsh and decor basic.
Tell suited for a casual meal.

Beau Thai has two locations in DC and though I prefer the Mt Pleasant location, this one ain't bad. It's on 7th Street NW in Shaw close to the original Compass Coffee. This location is spacious and you can always find a table. Unlike many nearby restaurants, Beau Thai is open for lunch (winning). Honestly, my go to always is green chicken curry and Thai iced tea. Both are tasty!
