Very disturbed that they were aggressive in trying to get me to pay for a damaged towel that I had used on my body. It had a couple of stains which would probably wash out. They wanted to charge me 31.59 AUD for a hand towel

Make sure you look at all the rules, including the fine print when you check in. Checking in with a large group, you often do not see them. If you have the smallest smudge on your towel, they demand that you pay USD $20 per towel. When you check out, they immediately go to the room and then start demanding that you pay, getting very rude. A lot of people were asked to pay. After several refused, all walked away. Towels are incredibly hard and rough. My room also was only given 1/2 of a small roll of toilet paper to use for 2 days. Many angry people.

First time ever un a hotel that limits the complimentary water to 1 small bottle day & person! STINGY mentality. Very cheap quality. Barely acceptable.

The hotel is very expensive with this room size with limited breakfast which they don't refill, starts from 8-10am. Better stay in the old town itself, one third the price , hotel call Sheriston Plaza.

Like the previous reviewer, we were impressed by the decoration in the lobby and around the hotel. Unlike the previous reviewer, we had no issues with the service. Staff at the front desk and at breakfast were helpful. The hotel is on a main road, not far from the city center. There is a new Korean BBQ restaurant a very short walk in the opposite direction.

The building is grandiose, the decorations are rich, the materials are of very high quality, the spaces are vast. The service is catastrophic: the concierge at reception is aggressive at the slightest question, the room is not in the condition of the hotel description, absence of the welcome tray provided with dried fruits, absence of water bottles, absence of tea bags or infusion, absence of cups, broken kettle, refrigerator not in its housing preventing the use of the office, unusable bathroom trash can ... Breakfast can some days be reduced to the leftovers from the day before !!! and the coffee is paid. In short, it is a waste for an establishment that could be exceptional.

Pros: Good location - 10 minutes walk to the old city, where everything is interesting for a tourist in Bukhara. 10 minutes by car to the airport (but it is quiet, planes do not interfere). Bright oriental interior in the lobby. There is water in the room (2 bottles). Good Wi-Fi. Cons: No elevator. They can help with suitcases, but you have to ask. The rooms have windows overlooking the courtyards-wells, where guests walk, so the curtains are always closed, and the rooms are not bright. The rooms are different, I stayed in two - one on the top floor was cramped, the second (on the 1st floor) is more spacious. The beds are massive, with large wooden frame posts, because of which the beds cannot be pushed together, even if you want to. The toilet cistern rattles like an outdoor generator after each flush. The breakfast is a bit strange - lots of sweets, porridge and omelette are in lidded containers, as they should be, but the heating underneath is not turned on, so everything is cold. Coffee is for an extra fee. Overall, the hotel is quite normal. Not a delight, and it is not for spending time in it. It is purely for an overnight stay. But a place to stay overnight with a convenient location.
