Samani Bukhara in Bukhara

The hotel is located in the heart of the old city, very close to historical and tourist attractions. You won’t need a car – everything is within walking distance through charming old streets. There are also many nearby restaurants and cafés.

The hotel is run by a kind and generous Uzbek family who provided everything we needed. It’s a two-story traditional-style house with 10 classic rooms that give you the feeling of being in the medieval times. The rooms are warm, spacious, and very quiet.

We’d like to thank the family for their warm welcome and hospitality. I highly recommend staying here – it’s a place full of character and worth the experience.

Stayed at Samani for two nights while exploring magnificent Bukhara together with my son. The location couldn’t have been better – on a quiet street, yet very close to the centre. We opted for this kind of accommodation hoping to get a more authentic hospitality experience than from a hotel – and weren’t disappointed. As for the hosts, we were in direct contact with two brothers - easy to talk to (also good communicators in English), helpful, willing to take us to the railway station (although their “fixed price” was higher than one would pay with Yandex, the journey was smooth and great fun, full of stories and insight into Uzbek culture). Our rooms were comfortable, spacious, clean, with a nice décor; bottles of water were provided too. Ladies of the house prepared plentiful breakfast, which we enjoyed it sitting in the courtyard. We would happily book Samani’s again and can definitely recommend it. Thank you!

We loved our stay at Samani Bukhara. It’s a charming family-run hotel with warm, genuine hospitality. The location in the old town is perfect — central and within easy walking distance of all the main sights.

This family run hotel is comfortable and beautiful with an outdoor seating area for breakfast and all other times of the day. The central location could not be better. The family are very welcoming and you immediately feel like you have become part of them. Our main contact was Carlos who was energetic and an excellent communicator. He organised a terrific guide for two days and we were very well cared for. Would definitely stay here again.

This is a family run hotel, they are very friendly, helpful. They made our stay very comfortable, rooms were very clean. The breakfast was great.The location is amazing and everything is in walking distance. I would definitley stay their again.

This guest house/hotel was a great start in Bukhara, the host made sure that he arranged everything to make it a comfortable stay for us. The breakfast was all tridimensional and exceptional. Location is extremely convenient to explore the old part of Bukhara.

First up, the pros: excellent location, very helpful and kind host, and one of the healthiest and most nourishing breakfasts we have ever eaten. The cons: the mattresses in our rooms were sagging in the middle resulting in back pain for me and there was no sign for hot water in the bathroom (turns out the tap has to be opened to the right side and not left like most places in the world, though we found the tap to give hot water to the left side in Xiva and Toshkent so it doesn't seem to be an entire Uzbekistan thing). Still deserves 4 rating for overall value for money and the very warm and kind nature of the main host gentleman.
