Sarrafon Guest House in Bukhara

The hostel attached to ‘Donuts and Coffee’ has around four rooms.
The rooms themselves are simply constructed, with floors that creak, but the building is new and comfortable to stay in.

Positive points.
The variety, healthiness, and thoroughness of the handmade breakfast (though only available for one hour, from 8:30 to 9:30).
The owner and staff are bright and cheerful (attentive and always on the move), which lifted my spirits too.
The adjoining café is suitably casual, a good fit for Bukhara where we might often find ourself with time to spare.

The downside is the direct impact of noise from live music at the neighbouring café-bar (which closes at 10:30 pm, restoring quiet).

Overall, it's a hotel that leaves a favourable impression, making me want to stay again. However, it might suit some people more than others.

I really enjoyed my stay at Sarrafon. Everyone was incredibly welcoming — from the lady who prepares and serves breakfast, to the owner, and the café staff. Their warmth made the place feel truly homey. The entrance is through their own café, which is a big plus. The food and drinks are excellent, and they bake a variety of pastries in-house, which you’ll also enjoy at breakfast. My room was clean and very comfortable, with great heating. I especially loved the heated bathroom floor and the reliable shower heater. The location is unbeatable — just a few steps and you’re already in the center of Old Bukhara. Breakfast was generous and delicious, made even better by the kindness of the lady who serves it. Tip: On Yandex, the hotel appears as Sarrafon B&B. Cars can’t stop directly in front of the hotel, so Yandex may drop you a short walk away. Just look for the Travel Information Center in Old Bukhara and follow the sign for their café, Donut and Coffee.

This is a great choice for accommodation in Bukhara. The staff is kind and patient, the breakfast was huge and delicious. The donuts aren’t included in that but they are fantastic! The only downsides were the hard beds and the loud music playing from a nearby restaurant which played until about midnight.

We loved Saraffon B&B! From the moment we made the booking, the owner was very communicative and helpfu, including helping us book a private taxi to our next destination. The location is excellent - just a few minutes walk from Lyab-i Hauz and a few doors up from Joy Restaurant (which was delicious). The bedroom was spotless, spacious, with a really clean ensuite. Breakfast was the best we had in Uzbekistan! Homemade and so fresh, lots of variety and really delicious.

We had a lovely stay here. It's very good value for money and the family that run it are lovely people. The bakery serves amazing cakes too!

I’m at a loss for words – I have never met such a lovely family in any country! The hotel is family-run, and the owners are incredibly kind-hearted people who helped me with everything I needed. The breakfast is excellent, the bathroom is very good, the beds are comfortable, and the location is perfect, right in the center. The best hotel in Bukhara! Thank you for everything ❤️❤️

Such a lovely stay. The location is great and the family is very friendly and make the best breakfast. They also run a small cafe within the building which has excellent home made doughnuts and is a great place to rest and get away from the afternoon heat.

A perfect location for your 1 or 2 night stay in Bukhara. Extremely good value and in a perfect location. One of the owners looked after us impeccably. Nothing was too much trouble and the breakfast was delicious, cooked to order by the family.Beds on the hard side hence the 4 stars. Otherwise cannot fault the place.

I stayed at this property for 2 nights while traveling solo in the area. I arrived very late but was greeted and shown to my room immediately. I slept well and while the location was great right next to major sites, the property is on a quiet side street. The wifi worked well. the breakfast was varied and delicious. I had to leave early the next day so they made me a breakfast to go which was very nice. Very basic room but I would recommend.

Bukara is an unforgettable place but is made such by places like the Sarrafon Guest House and the family that runs it.totally umpretentious,relaxing,clean,excellent location but most important the level of service that such a small establishment offers:every day a different ,delicious breakfast,personal attention to one's need and the immersion in local lifestyle a solo traveller could'nt help but appreciating ...but, anyway,hospitality is great everywhere one goes in uzbekistan,well,the sarrafon B&B rapresents greatly this precious value unfortunatelly forgotten in many places in Europe.
