There is a great common area upstairs but it always had people sleeping there so other backpackers would either just stay in their rooms or sit on the uncomfortable chairs downstairs by the front door

Lovely hotel, clean rooms, very warm. Large smart TV (there is Wi-Fi, YouTube works), minibar, electric kettle. But there is no hair dryer in the bathroom (you can ask at the reception)

AC making noise several times, but it’s not critical. experienced 2 times 1 minutes blackout but its not hotel faults as its related to the city electric consumption. near to supermarket, 600m walking distance
receptionist was nice, and helpful upon check in. we received rooms in the first floor so dont have to carry the luggage up using stairs. dont have elevator but the staff will assist you for your luggages

Brand new hotel staffed by professionals. It is off a main street, Rustaveli. Breakfasts is simple, but healthy and nutritious. The downside is that there is no elevator.

Okay, ok with towels (although strange), but can they at least throw out the trash daily? That's what I didn't like. I'm lowering my rating for the noise, unchangeable towels and unthrown trash
But! On the -1 floor there are washing machines that hum until about 2 am, or something else hums disgustingly. And if your room is on the 1st floor - you can't sleep normally until 2 am
It is in a quiet local neighborhood, just a short walking distance from Registan Square, the mausoleums, and the nearby bazaar. It feels peaceful and authentic while still being very convenient for sightseeing
Staff is helpful, but they dont return your balance when you pay by cash (in my case is for the tourist tax). Location wise, very strategic. Less than 10 mins walk to samarkand square and to restaurants/store

They're cutting corners on everything here. If you're not among the first for breakfast, you'll either get nothing or have to beg for everything, and there's no guarantee you'll actually get it

It is 10 minute walk to the metro stop Chilonzor which is on the red line that takes you to the main sites (20 minutes) and is one stop from the main shared taxi stop if you come from Jizzakh or Samarkand
It is also near one of the main routes into the centre and there are lots of buses that go towards the bazaar. It is quiet and has friendly staff (English speaking lady during the day)
Al Arda Hotel comes highly recommended. Jamal, the receptionist, is exceptionally responsive and accommodating. The hotel rooms are impeccably clean, and the breakfast is delicious

Nice hotel in the capital of minerals rich Navoi province of Uzbekistan. A little off the way from the city center, but the hotel is very nice that offers all necessary amenities and the tariff is very affordable
