Great location next to the historic square. Rooms good, not super modern but functional, loads of hot water. Breakfast had a great choice and they can make eggs etc on demand. Rooftop had a lovely view. The best thing were the guys working on the main desk, friendly helpful and cheerful. I had to visit a pharmacy while there and they kindly helped me translate what I needed and checked I had bought the correct thing. They speak pretty good English which helped me a lot. Thanks !

Overall, this is a nice hotel. But what makes it wonderful is the location. The breakfast room and terrace literally overlook the registan from the back. It is a short walk through a nice park to get to the registan entrance. We stayed here the first two nights we were in Uzbekistan. It was a perfect place to deal with jet lag because while we were tired and didn't want to go out too much in the evening, we could sit on the terrace and enjoy the registan lit up. The rooms are comfortable, the shower is good enough (nothing to write home about either way), the beds are comfortable. There is a minifridge. Breakfast was delicious. The staff were all helpful and spoke english well (if that is important to you). So overall, a good hotel, with an amazing location.

Location is right outside the Registan - convenient to visit in the morning before the crowds arrive. Hotel also has a rooftop terrace where you can drink complimentary tea / coffee while enjoying the view of the Registan. Hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful. This place is a gem. Highly recommend!

Hotel Minor is a great option for staying in Samarkand. Rooms are clean and comfortable, location is great, and the staff is kind, responsive, and respectful. The rooms are indeed a little old, but the amazing rooftop, delicious breakfast, and generosity of the staff make up for it.

Great hotel, very central, great staff
Hotel located next to Registan square. Very nice rooftop terrace with beautiful view of the square. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Such a great hotel with a super staff, terrific breakfast, clean rooms, and a magnificent view of Registon. The check-in process was a bit confusing, as they need a payment in cash. However, we really loved our stay here and recommend this place. Great restaurants within walking distance as well.

I don't think I have anything negative to say about this hotel. The location is fantastic as it is minutes away from the Registan. They have a lovely rooftop (where breakfast is served) and has a nice indoor and outdoor area that overlooks the Registan. The staff were friendly and helpful, the entire property was clean and modern and offered all the amenities you would want. I would recommend the Minor Hotel to anyone visiting Samarkand.

GREAT location. Generally nice hotel; Amir at the front desk was great. Small hiccups occurred at check-in (the rooms we booked were not available). All sorted in the end, though it was cash only, which was a bit logistically unexpected.
