Reviews
The walls are incredibly thin in the room— I could hear the man in the room next to me when he was talking at a normal volume. The room service menu didn’t work when I checked in. The tiles in the bathroom aren’t real stone but instead printed and look incredibly tacky. The paint in the hallways needs to be touched up. None of this is the end of the world, the location is good if you want to explore Tirane on foot. The staff are nice, and the price is reasonable for off-season in Tirane.
However, the cost for the taxi to vlore was nearly 2.5x what it should cost, I was absolutely floored, this was disgusting. I would have been better staying at a “lower quality” hotel. I told this to the staff and they agreed with me but did nothing to change it. It was literally several times more than the cost of the room. I come to Albania frequently for diving and would never recommend or visit this hotel again because of this. It’s actually more than the inflated airport charge, and instead of fixing the problem they told me to take the bus.
The walls were very thin, and we could hear everything from the neighboring rooms, which made it difficult to rest properly. And the thermostat also didn't work.
The spa experience was not good at all. The space is very small and overcrowded, making it hard to relax. Also, the dressing rooms didn’t have locks, so there was no safe place to keep personal belongings.
Overall, it did not meet my expectations, especially considering the facilities and comfort level.
There is no proper ventilation in the room — no window and no balcony. The air conditioning is locked on warm mode, with no option for guests to control the temperature. Because the room faces direct sunlight, it becomes extremely hot and uncomfortable.
Housekeeping staff entered the room using their key card after knocking and receiving no response, which is a serious privacy concern.
The pool area is unsafe. There are no proper climbing stairs, and water constantly gushes out of the tub onto the floor, creating a serious slipping hazard. My friend actually slipped, and instead of addressing the safety issue, the hotel only offered a 15-minute massage as “compensation,” which is unacceptable.
Breakfast was exactly the same every day during my 4-night stay. There was no variety. At home, people do not eat the same breakfast daily — guests expect better options. Basic in-room amenities were missing: no kettle, no tea or coffee supplies, and no bin in the room.
The dinner menu is very limited and the food quality was poor. Portion sizes are small, and when we asked for an extra portion, we were told we would be charged.
Finally, the checkout time was misleading. Booking.com stated checkout was 23:59, but the hotel insisted checkout was 11:00. This is false advertising and very confusing for guests.
After reading other reviews, it is clear the hotel urgently needs to improve breakfast variety, room facilities, safety standards, and honesty in guest information.
Overall, this experience was extremely disappointing.
The bathroom is ridiculously small and uncomfortable. To use the toilet, you literally have to step inside the shower cabin and close the door, otherwise there’s no space. There was also visible mold, a strong sewage smell, and the bathroom furniture was old, damaged, and clearly falling apart.
Cleanliness is below any acceptable level. The housekeeping staff are extremely loud early in the morning, talking and playing music while cleaning with the doors wide open, so all the noise spreads through the entire floor. On one occasion, they even entered my room without permission, despite the “Do Not Disturb” sign on the door — while I was undressed — and started checking the minibar without even apologizing. Completely unacceptable behavior.
During my stay there was also a group of young athletes running and shouting in the corridors, blasting loud music from their rooms, and constantly slamming doors. I had to go down to reception several times, even around 1:30 AM, to ask someone to make them quiet down, as no one from the staff seemed to care.
The hotel manager himself was extremely rude and unprofessional.
The room itself was in poor condition:
– burnt-out lightbulbs that were never replaced;
– the landline phone didn’t work, so it was impossible to reach reception without going downstairs;
– the TV was frozen and unusable;
– much of the furniture, both in the room and the bathroom, was broken or nearly falling apart;
– overall, the hotel felt completely neglected and poorly maintained.
The so-called “spa” area is a complete parody — it’s uninviting, and absolutely not what you’d expect from a hotel advertising wellness facilities.
Breakfast was very basic and not replenished regularly. Most of the staff were impolite, with the exception of the receptionists and the bar/restaurant team, who were kind and helpful.
To make things worse, during my stay a man fell from the third floor onto the terrace of the second, which speaks volumes about the building’s poor maintenance and overall lack of safety.
The hotel might have potential if properly renovated and better managed, but in its current state it’s simply run-down, noisy, unsafe, and unpleasant to stay in.
❌ Definitely would not recommend — not worth the money or the stress.
2. When I checked out, I was told that there was a bottle of water missing from the mini bar, and it would be deducted from the deposit. I didn't drink anything in the room, but the hotel front desk repeatedly asked why there was a bottle of water missing.
I came to your country for tourism, do you have to lie and refuse to pay for even a bottle of water?
