Being a regular visitor to Soldeu, Piolets is like home from home, the staff are so friendly in the restaurant and bar. Ordering bar snacks and pizza is brilliant, great social environment when you come off the slopes. Perfect place for Apres ski. Ceasar, and all the bar staff are so friendly and polite and have big smiles on their faces.

I've been skiing in Soldeu for many years and Piolets bar is the first stop after coming off the mountain. The attraction is a large comfortable lounge with a sunny terrace overlooking the slopes. This is topped by the friendly service from the bar staff.... look out for Cesar, Anthony, Victoria and Franklin

We had a fabulous time for 3 weeks in the piolets hotel . Franklin and Anthony who work in the main bar were absolutely excellent throughout or so . Efficient , friendly and professional . We are back in March Alex

If we could give ten stars we would!!! What a fantastic place! The staff are absolutely amazing! I huge thank you to Erika as she is an amazing chef and created such wonderful food for us! We spent Christmas in Soldeu and, at first, things looked promising. Upon arriving around 11 PM, the reception arranged food for us over the phone—a professional and appreciated gesture. Unfortunately, the positives ended there. Our room faced the main street, so noise from the bar across the road made it hard to relax. The food was extremely disappointing—far below expectations for a ski resort, and I’ve experienced much better in the Alps, the US, and Scandinavia. Communication was another challenge. The staff spoke very limited English or simply chose not to, addressing us mostly in Spanish, which we don’t speak. Service overall did not reflect a 4-star standard: housekeeping barely removed trash during our six-day stay, and staff often seemed tired and disengaged. Pilot is not worth its price, and I strongly advise against booking half-board. The dining hall feels like a school cafeteria, and the dishes are completely tasteless. Nearby restaurants, such as La Caleta, offer flavorful meals at reasonable prices—much better value. I expect more from a 4-star hotel than being reprimanded for taking a dessert from the buffet to my room. The only thing close to 4-star quality is the stunning mountain and gondola view. Save your money and choose a hotel with better service and staff who know how to make guests feel welcome.

Solid Spanish restaurant, serves Alicante-style cuisine. The atmosphere was modern yet elegant. I went in the summer low season and it wasn't super crowded. A family fun operation, was fantastic.

Great bar and restaurant with friendly and accommodating staff. Party atmosphere in the bar with lots of very large measures, 2 for 1's and free shots. The restaurant has a completely different atmospher. Great value and amazing food. Whats not to like?

I have only visited the bar. This is the place to go if you're up for a crowded after-ski in Soldeu. Happy atmosphere. A small minus that you can't pay by card in the bar, but the ATM is only 50 meters away so it's not that big of a deal.
