Where do we begin?
Our experience at Xalet Montana was absolutely wonderful from beginning to end.
First of all, the location of this hotel was perfect and made it so easy for us to make our way to the ski rental equipment, lockers and slopes! Having the locker included made things so much easier and convenient!
The service at the hotel was second to none, Jorge and Iulietta deserve a special mention. They are such a great team, they made us feel welcome every time we returned back after our day and always made time to have a little chat. Jorge was so accommodating for anything we needed. Their warmth and hospitality really made our holiday much more enjoyable!
Breakfast was delicious, abundant and there was lovely variety of food!
If we had to mention one minor thing, it would be the noise on the street as the hotel is located on a rather busy street so we could hear traffic passing by at night and early morning when trucks are shoveling snow from the street.
Nonetheless, we would definitely return to this hotel and recommend it without hesitation!

A wonderful stay at Xalet de Montana, such friendly staff, delicious breakfast and very comfortable room overlooking the slopes. Highly recommend, we will be most certainly be back.

Stayed in this hotel a couple of times before years ago. We had seen it had been renovated and is in the same group as the Naudi hotel which we adore after staying there twice and eating in the restaurant many times. We decided to try this hotel as it is directly opposite the Naudi and has a great communal car park. We weren’t disappointed, we still had the same wonderful staff greet us as they seem to work between the hotels, George and Julieta. We decided to upgrade to a superior room as it had a bit more space and it was lovely. Everywhere in the hotel is beautifully decorated and so similar to the Naudi but a lot cheaper. Love the shower gel and products in the room ❤️ You still get the free ski locker at the gondola which is a godsend. Breakfast was great, it too had been given a make over, wonderful fresh juice, fizz and bottled water at the table. Fabulous breads, cheese and meats with avocado, salads and a selection of hot items. Delicious pastries and cakes too and fabulous coffee. Antonia always seemed to look after us and we really enjoyed talking to her about travelling from Chile in between studies. Nice to use the spa too which also had been nicely renovated for 12 euros per person. We did visit the Hermitage spa and the hotel can book this for you with a discount! We had a wonderful stay at Xalet Montana, and honestly, I don’t know how they manage to get so many things right.
A very special thank you to Juliette from Guest Services, who reached out to us even before our arrival to ask about the purpose of our visit and if there was anything she could do to make it special. Thanks to her, my birthday dinner was perfectly organised, the spa was booked, parking options were clearly explained, and everything felt effortless from the very start. That level of care is rare and truly appreciated.
Jorge and Daniella, the receptionist managers, was also fantastic — incredibly helpful, professional, and always welcoming with a big smile. You instantly feel looked after here.
Breakfast was delicious, with freshly made options every morning. The free ski lockers right next to the slope were such a bonus, and we were even lucky enough to get parking right in front of the hotel at their carpark , which made things even easier.
The spa is small but excellent. We really loved that they limit bookings to no more than six people at a time — and we were lucky enough to have it completely to ourselves. It felt calm, private, and perfectly relaxing after a day on the slopes.
The location is superb — only a 5-minute walk to the slopes. The rooms are modern, comfortable, and well designed. Some people mention the room size in reviews, but we honestly found it to be more than adequate and very comfortable.
We also had dinners both at Xalet Montana and at Naudi (their sister hotel across the road ), and both were absolutely extraordinary. The food quality and atmosphere exceeded our expectations especially at a Naudi.
If I had to mention one very minor thing: if you’re a light sleeper, it might be worth bringing earplugs, as the hotel is close to the road. That said, this is common for many hotels in the area, and after a full day of skiing, it really wasn’t much of an issue at all.

Our stay at Xalet Montana was absolutely wonderful.
The food deserves a special mention truly outstanding. It was clear that a lot of care and passion goes into the kitchen, and dining there was one of the highlights of our stay.
We would happily return and highly recommend Xalet Montana to anyone looking for great hospitality, excellent food, and a memorable mountain stay!

Stayed at this hotel while skiing - Positives - Newly refurbished rooms to high standard Comfy bed Powerful rainfall shower Room cleaned daily Friendly staff Good quality breakfast Near to Soldeu ski-lift Nice, but small, spa - extra charge €12 each Discount at Sports Calbo and free locker for staying at hotel Negatives Room very hot - no air con Rooms all face onto main road - very noisy with cars and rowdy people until 3am Hotel was lovely but would not stay again. Asked at reception if they could turn the heating off in our room as you physically can’t turn it off in your room. They obliged, however, it came back on the following night, room like a sauna despite having balcony door open. Did not have an undisturbed sleep on any of our 4 nights due to room too hot and having to open balcony door which made the road noise and rowdy people noise worse, bit of a catch 22. Had a great few days skiing but feeling absolutely exhausted, not from skiing, from lack of sleep. What a shame, as lovely appointed hotel.

Great location for ski lift about a 5 minute walk . There are loads of bars and restaurants nearby within walking distance Warm comfortable rooms great choice for breakfast Very friendly helpful staff i would definitely recommend this hotel

Really big upgrade. The rooms are so minimalistic and cool. Fabulous bar area. Only negative is pleeeze put a draft beer on your bar. Bottles do not quite do it !!

The food is great but the service is horrible

Came here for a quick lunch and was underwhelmed. The service was rushed, the bun on my burger was charred black in places and the chips/salad portions were stingy and fairly tasteless. The saving grace was the atmosphere - a pleasant hub bub thanks to the mainly French clientele.

Great restaurant throughout. Continental breakfast is good value and filling. The evening menu has something for everyone and very good value for money. Also a great place to stop after a hard day skiing.

Good food and more than accessible prices. Wide selection of plates varying from sandwiches to pastas.
They also allow dogs to enter the establishment which is a nice extra for dogowners.
The only downside is the font of the menu card is kind of hard to read.

Very poor no atmosphere, some of the bar staff are rude came to bar when quiet and tried to get attention of the barman and was completed ignored as far as apre ski it's a -1 boo
