My Personal Peace Palace in an Enormous Sea
I am a solo traveler exploring and finding Andorra was a bit overwhelming for me ...until I was greeted at Hote Carlemany by Eva and Franck at the front desk, and Neus at the free daily spa. They made me feel at home. My room on the river was divine. The healing waters flowing so potent. The location of this hotel was perfect for me up and away from the enormous crowds, yet a 3-minute walk to them. The thermal pool was relaxing. This was the absolute best find hotel for me there. In the 3-days, I walked and walked and walked - and I truly know I was in the best spot.

The hotel is located on the road and the air is very dirty, full of exhaust fumes. The hotel will surprise you with additional charges, most of which are not mentioned anywhere. In other words, you can't fully rely on the information provided by the hotel. The hotel's website says that parking is included, but doesn't say that there's a surcharge of €20/day. This is very misleading. Also, the parking is small and far way from the hotel, so you need to go uphill for 250m (this is the nearest one, see photo). It's terrible if you are with a relatively big car. NO electric charger. The spa is not guaranteed (based on availability) and only has a sauna, hammam and jacuzzi. The sauna is OK, but again, I paid extra to use it for 45 min, and you have to book a day in advance, which is not very convenient. Breakfast is OK. Dinner is not good value for money (€23 for a meal without alcohol, and you have to pay extra for some dishes, so it ends up being about €40 per person). We had a room with a view of some slum (see the photo). Other rooms face the street. Don't know which is worse :) The rooms are OK, and it's fine for a 3-star hotel, but the price definitely does not match the value.

We stay just one night. For Andora, was okay. The best thing was the rooms, big size. The restaurant was okay, breakfast was okay. The worker try to do the job. The pool , the parking was located outside from the hotel. Was not a room service. The rooms with clean, and spa was good. In a general , was good for four stars hotel.

We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is within walking distance of the main shopping area, and overlooks the river. The view from our room was lovely. The breakfast was varied and delicious. Friendly staff. We didn’t use the spa area during our stay. We would definitely stay here again.

The restaurant, listed on the Andorra tourism website as one of only 5 places in the entire country certified as serving traditional Andorran food only allows hotel patrons to eat the food.
This has got to be illegal discrimination on the hotels part and totally false advertising on the part of the tourism agency.
Also there is zero parking. So plan on trekking it to get there.

I think the price/quality ratio is good in this hotel.
They have a really nice variety in the diner menu ( 22 eur, 3 courses).
The rooms are nice, clean, comfy. I read that someone complained about river sounds … well.. it’s indeed loud, but it was very easy to fall asleep 😂 because of that.
As for the spa, It is small and hammam wasn’t working, but we managed to enjoy sauna and jacuzzi. It’s a pity that you can book the spa visit only after arrival and that doesn’t leave you much choice of time slots. And the same for massage. If you book a massage, I think it’s a mistake to book a shiatsu massage only for 30 min. This is too short session for this type of massage. What else..Keep in mind that the pool works only during summer.

Cozy and clean place, with good size rooms and great bathroom to relax after skiing (bathtub). You have all you need in the room, starting toothbrush and finishing slippers. Very friendly and helpfull staff 🥰 and lovely spa downstairs 😍 (had it all just for myself). You can have quite a few diferent procedures for a reasonable price. I had an amazing 1h massage performed by Kristina; just loved it 🤩 a bit less impressed with the breakfast selection but for women more than enough. Definitely would recommend this place for your stay in Andorra-very cosy and relaxing (great playlist over the building 🎶
