Where to stay in Kotayk Province

We just had a very relaxing 6 nights stay at the Tsakhadzor Marriott Hotel. The staff is caring and kind. The housekeeping does a perfect job. The food is delicious and the waiters are providing fast and friendly service. The property has a huge pool with a large jacuzzi, and a spacious and well equipped gym. We would return on next occasion.

Good to stay, excellent atmosphere, snow everywhere, continental breakfast was good, fresh food, fruits. Clean corridor, rooms, but few minor to improve, weak internet, fair english speaking floor staff. Can arrange a few contacts for any local tour. Otherwise, it's a good and nice hotel.

The hotel has a great location and my room had the best view. From the room window, we could see Kecharis monastery and the entire sunrise. The property is huge with a range of amenities like pool, basketball court, tennis court etc. This both a boon and a bane as the room is a bit far from the reception with no shuttle service. A most see place! You don't have to book a room to go into the cafe, pool or use other stuff. The cafe is a very good place to grab a cup of tea. Winter is the best season to check this place out. It also has snowmobiles in winter. The hotel rooms are very clean and the service is great. It also has a great view at outside if the hotel since the hotel is on top of the hill.

It was a great pleasure to have a rest in this hotel. Staff is pleasant, great food, good service. Great atmosphere! Though it is a little far from the city, it's not even a problem, because it is totally worth it!

Accommodation was great, service was also great! Pool is outside the main facility but also was good. Kids zone was plenty of different things to do. Restaurant was also good with a different kind of dishes which were too tasty. Staff was friendly and nice.

Overall experience is 5 rating; however, I would rate 2 to the staff. What’s most important in-service industry is the way the staff responds to the guest. From front desk to room cleaner, everyone has a rude attitude, in short, they must learn how to talk.

Good location, the ropeway and restaurants in the centrum are both within walking distance. Breathtaking views close by, and the mountain flow goes next to the hotel and gives a great soundscape. The interior of the hotel is somewhat tacky, and especially the cabins have light switches in weird places, partially hard to find. The yard looks great, and is well planned. The hotel has a great location, next to the ski lift, the hotel itself is large and elegant. Very nice cottage stay, equipped with mini kitchen and first floor with 2 bedrooms and one & only bathroom, ground floor with lavish living room kitchen and powder room with modern heating system comfortable beds. Breakfast is with very limited choice and not much selection for sure, can not compare with hotel like Marriott, especially for vegetarian guests. I highly recommend the property.

We had witnessed the transition of weather from fall to winter. Our room (junior suite) was huge with view of the ropeway. All amenities are provided. It has bathtub too. The hotel is very well located and close to Kecharis Church, Tsakhkadzor ropeway. It is ok for one night if you prefer budget stay but do not expect too much. I have stayed at this hotel several times and I saw a huge difference after my previous stay (in 2017). This hotel is just yard away from the slopes and after a long day skiing all you want is to get to return to the room and rest. The rooms are basic, clean and have everything you need. The staff are very friendly and go the extra mile to help and assist. We checked other hotel around and Alva cannot be faulted.

We are here now and what I can say is that this hotel is a really nice place for what we paid. It is designed so beautifully inside that you feel like you are in a palace. We mostly like cottages, the strongest advantage is that 4 bedrooms out of 5 in the bigger cottages have its own bathrooms.

Located in the forest, cottage was surrounded by amazing nature. Night lights playing in the white snow were the most beautiful phenomena I have ever seen. In side of this wonderland the service was poor. Temperature in the rooms was low and we had to take second manta. Assortment of food was also far away from good. In the early morning I saw cockroaches and It was the end of my patience.

Since there were no reviews for 2023 we decided to try our luck, but desperate. Only the view and outside of hotel was good. Both openair swim pool and closed one were clean. The rooms (301: 303) are dilapidated , bed utilities with holes from sigarette (photo attached) and even lamp were "tortured".
