Nork Residence Hotel in Yerevan

Comfortable, quiet. But to the pool for money or an acquaintance allowed not only the hotel guests.

Iranian hotel or a hotel for the Iranians. But I was there quite comfortable. Modern, clean, all at a high level. The Breakfast buffet was also excellent. And dinner do not advise to take - not tasty, not enough. Better to dine in the center of Yerevan. Far from the city center. By public transport to reach far and long. And if a personal car (my Sochi) - there is a big problem with Parking in the center of Yerevan.

The GOOD: the staff is amazingly nice. Very respectful and very helpful. I have not seen any better. The food is nice--tho there are no menus. You get what they serve and it's generally very nice and tasty. The rooms were clean when we got there. Did I say the staff were wonderful? The price quoted was very very reasonable. The hotel is in a residential area and is very quiet and secluded. There is a park and a big grocery store in the neighborhood which was handy, The hotel manager change my dollars to dram at a reasonable rate which was very nice. You can make arrangements for a car to take you around for a reasonable price-although the driver doesn't speak English-but he was smart enough to understand sign language--and we ended up communicating anyhow. Other than the orange juice, the breakfast was excellent. I would stay there again and would recommend friends to do the same.

The BAD: the laundry service is expensive-it would be nice if they provided self help laundry. The Bar was closed throughout my stay. The room service was not a full service: they would make the bed and provide clean towels but so far as cleaning and removing trash, it was a hit or miss thing--sometimes they do it, sometimes they didn't. But it wasn't that much of an issue. I would call and they would do the work. The stair wells have no light during the night--so take a flash light with you at night--again, for adults, it's no big deal but kids running around could injure themselves. The breakfast orange juice was not really orange juice, I think it was Tang and it tasted horrible. They really should not serve that.
