Royal Pacific Hotel in Sydney

I checked in for one night, upon check out I asked reception to hold my suitcase. When I arrived back to collect my suitcase, no one was in reception for more than 10 mins. I tried dialing the number 9 but no one was answering. I tried this multiple times!

It is pretty appalling that there were no other workers on the ground floor to assist! I had a flight to catch and was delayed because of this reason.

I was waiting for over 15 minutes before someone just casually strolled down to reception. Thankfully my uber stayed and did not cancel.

I also noticed that the area where my luggage was kept was not locked, the computer was not locked - everyone’s privacy could easily be accessed by ANYONE walking into the hotel. The computer had all details available for anyone to look at!

This is utterly disgraceful and considering it was the middle of the day, there was no one there to greet / assist me!

When the lady finally came down, all she said was oh I don’t know why the phone wasn’t ringing, there was no apology or recognition of any inconvenience this has caused.

I don’t think it’s fair for people to have no one at reception in the middle of the day and to have everyone’s information available on the computer for anyone to look at! APPALLING!!!!

DONT NOT STAY HERE. Not worth it at all!! There are better hotels in SYD to stay in.

I ordered an executive room, but it turned out to be a twin room with 0.8 single beds, which were very light. There was no water in the room, and there was a power outage. It rained one day when we stayed there, and the bathroom roof leaked. When I went to the toilet, water dripped all over my feet.
I couldn't sleep at night because the noise outside was very loud. The so-called swimming pool downstairs was a very small pool, so dirty that I couldn't put water in it. I wanted to check out, but I had to stay for another two nights before I could refund, which meant I had to stay for three nights in total. I almost got depressed after changing hotels.
