Clean room, tidy kitchenette, leafy street outlook (B3), parking undercover (just be mindful of your height) friendly staff. Easy walk to Acland, Fitzroy Sts and the beach.

The bathroom was average at best. No storage space or shelves. Shower is tiny. The balcony has no privacy and was very dirty, cobwebs and excessively dusty.

Great to have laundry, however the dryer kept cutting out…took me 4 hours to finally get my washing dry!

Fantastic location and friendly helpful staff.
The unit needs some upgrades to be top shelf. Stove top has two speeds, stop and flat out. Chopping board, cutting knife and frypan were quite dismal. Lounge wasn’t comfortable.
Otherwise everything was wonderful. Hope these things can be fixed before next visit.

They make the room everyday.. towels can be changed as per request. Location is good if u drive.. overall pretty clean.. will recommend it

I was looking forward to staying here for a night, but unfortunately, my experience was far from what I expected. After a tragic incident at the Palais Theatre, where a death occurred, we were unable to stay at the hotel due to the emotional toll of what we witnessed. While I understand that the events at the theatre were not the hotel's fault, we also did not use the room and requested a refund or credit for the night. However, the hotel refused and showed no empathy toward our situation.

Our engagement celebration, which we were hoping to enjoy, was completely ruined. On top of that, we encountered parking issues (no car parks available for the size of our car) and were disappointed by the quality of the "breakfast" (a overpriced box of cereal and juice). Given all of these factors, we will not be returning to Quest in the future!

Stayed in the quest at Kilda many times before
However this 10 day stay was not good mold in the shower ,coffee machine not working,tea bags not replenished the Room had window that didn’t close substantially smoke from smokers below /adjacent building would enter through the broken window and smell the whole room out , first day open all windows to remove the smell ,however room constantly smelled of smoke ,complained however no alternative rooms available, whole place needs makeover

Plenty of vegetarian options. My boyfriend (meat eater) actually raved about the field mushrooms, as they were amazing. Even though it was raining the vibe inside was good. Hoping to go back and try more cocktails with friends.

Excellent location, nice food. Keep in mind that the portion side is often quite small for the price. The salmon sushimi was literally just two small pieces of salmon. The pork belly was too fatty, not worth the cost. On the other hand, the edameme was refreshing. It’s definitely not warranting the price tag. Would recommend it for the staff, and the beach views.

Really good service. Great location, good atmosphere, they even managed to find the space for our friend dan, who has a largely disproportionate head. Highly recommend the prawns with wasabi mayo.

Loved the place just for the view and atmosphere which is awoseme. Service is also great but the vegetarian dishes we ordered were average at the most... and it's not cheap so you expect something beautiful.. well, nop for the veggie options; lack of flavours and really small.
Would just go back for a beer to see the sunset.

Good location. However not truly Japanese quality. We tried the beef, chicken & tuna Yaki they all taste good but definitely not authentic Japanese taste. A bit overpriced for the quality of food. Not recommended if you want genuine Japanese food. But can try if you just want something to eat
