We were originally booked into another hotel and were informed last minute that we’d be moved to the Diamond Hotel. While we always take reviews with a pinch of salt, I strongly recommend paying attention to the negative ones, they are unfortunately very accurate. On arrival, the hotel looked lovely cosmetically, but that’s where the positives ended. Our room had a terrible sewage smell coming from leaking toilet pipes and blocked drains. We had to use a bowl to cover the drain just to keep the smell down. The all-inclusive package was extremely disappointing. We were told the food was prepared at another hotel and transported here, by the time it arrived, it was stale and cold. We had to use a broken microwave to warm it up every day. There was no snack bar (closed the entire holiday), and only one bar was open with very limited drinks. There was no entertainment whatsoever, not even background music until day four, when guests started playing their own speakers and openly complaining in front of staff. To make things worse, there are ridiculous fines: 100lv for taking more than two drinks, 100lv for making any noise, even mid-day or after 22:00. The only good part, apart from a comfy sleep, was the airport pickup, purely because it meant we were going home. Avoid this hotel at all costs.

Hotel very clean, staff are friendly and food is very good and bed is comfortable. Overall very satisfactory. The hotel is situated in close to shops, bars and restaurants with music

[ ] Bad wifi The wifi is there but connects temporarily then disconnects. If you're on limited data, you wouldnt know unless you paid attention to that detail. It is slow as well when connected [ ] "European food" The food is plentiful but barely anything for the English pallete. My children have struggled to eat here. Best they can get is chips if they're warm which isn't always the case. The breakfast choices again are limited but there is tepid streaky bacon, freshly cooked eggs and boiled eggs etc. The beans are ALWAYS stone cold!. There is a microwave but then where is this 4 star hotel when you need to do this. Barely any chicken. My kids are fussy. [ ] Unlimited drinks All drinks are served in small plastic cups. Around 300ml in size from the miserable staff. If they smiled, it looks like it would physically hurt. The choice of drinks is beer or wine (red or white). The 5 spirits available I wouldn't choose but that's my preference. At no point even in the evening away from the pool am I given the single beer they have in anything but plastic. What a joke. During the day between breakfast and lunch there is a coffee machine. Guess what you have to fill that into? Yup. Plastic. Because we all know plastic is a great insulator. Pathetic. [ ] Entertainment If you enjoy the likes of Groundhog day then this is the hotel for you. Everyday is the same rubbish routine. Nothing is changed up. Yoga is done right at the door so you can't get round. Water polo in the morning if anyone actually decides they want to do it. Water aerobics every day with the same playlist. Literally the same songs as if it was played from a cassette. [ ] Hotel room Clean I suppose and the maids come round daily. The bathroom is a deathtrap. Its like wearing grease on a ice rink. Place down small towels actually in the bathroom to prevent smashing your head on the corners of the stone walling. Bottom line, AVOID LIKE COVID! This place is a family mistake and has cost us dearly. For all inclusive we've had to eat out everyday for the lack of choice. I also write this with a bloody week left of this horrible hell hole. I wish I never booked it. Has put me off Bulgaria for life and its my third visit.

DO NOT GO HERE !!!!! Very arrogant staff and manager very rude and disrespectful when approached about the conditions. The sheets and towels wasn't chaged unless asked, twice in 7 days. The bathroom smelt bad from urine. The food wasn't the best, my daughter wouldn't eat there at all. We had to wait 9.5hrs for the taxi after taking are wrist bands off us at 12 mid day, so my 6 years old couldn't eat or go in the pool. The entertainment was the same over and over again. Worst holiday I've ever been on. Wouldn't go to sunny beach again.

We were very pleased with the hotel’s cleanliness and the professionalism of the staff. The animation team was absolutely amazing – full of energy, creative, and truly the heart of the hotel. They made a big difference and brought joy to both children and adults. Unfortunately, one serious incident left us feeling very unsafe. My husband tried to enter the fitness room through a side door near the parking area – a door marked with the hotel’s name – and was physically pushed and grabbed by two large, intimidating men who were clearly not hotel staff. When he politely asked in English what the issue was, one of them mocked his accent, then started shouting loudly that we should speak Bulgarian “because we are in Bulgaria,” turning the situation into a humiliating scene in front of passing guests. It was aggressive, uncalled for, and unacceptable in a hotel setting. While we appreciated many aspects of our stay, guest safety should always be taken seriously. Nicole

AVOID!.... I never really take notice of reviews but I wish I had here🤢 Awful staff but for 1 exception Pablo in the restaurant.. the food was awful most of us ended up vomiting and diarrhea, by the time Friday came I could only keep water down... Alcohol not much to right home about and I don't know what that coca cola was but haven't tasted anything like that before ..

Please avoid this hotel it's terrible no professional staff 😞 isn't nice at all.They are very rude ,moody food also cold no toast machine , room is old style , bathroom horrible 😭 Please read reviews before you go Sunny beach and safe your journey.Isnt good experience I had I don't wanna anyone to have that why I writing waste for time and money.

Staff are arrogant and rude. The food is inedible. When you approach a member of staff with a problem you get a dirty look. They claim they can't speak English even though it states on the website that they should be able to. All I can say is the people I met who was also on holiday were brilliant and made it more enjoyable.

Hell no go away from this place most staff is ignorant horible people food is horible even for lithuanian person breakfast is not touchable all i can eat is salad . One day my boyfriend went get his second drink and they make a fuss to refuse it and we pay for all inclusive and we cant even fill up water you can take a glass but dont fill bottle

The hotel was clean, but my husband and I was there for a week and the sheets on our beds were not changed once. The food was disgusting same every day and was cold and not properly cooked. We had to heat our food up in the one microwave that was there. The staff are ignorant, they take your plate away without asking if you are finished and never smile. The staff brush up around you while you are still eating. The food is catered for Russians NOT ENGLISH. The music around the pool was so loud you could not have a nap in the afternoon. The WORST Hotel Ever.
