Reviews
We have been to Bulgaria 4 times before, all 3star. We have always got by with their meals & drinks.
This is by far the absolute worst hotel ever.
The staff do not like the English.
The food really is bad. We can generally get by with something. But we have Had to eat out for the evening meal.
Try to avoid staying here all inclusive, if you do, bring money as you will need to buy water, soft drinks & eat out.
It is definitely not for kids.
Ice cream 10-12.
Pizza 3-5pm.
Soft drinks hit & miss with gas going off.
We've never written a bad review, but this should not be a hotel recommended for the English
The only positive is the location as you're close to the strip where you have access to bars, shops, restaurants and the beach.
The hotel is run down and in need of renovation. Staff are rude, clearly prejudice against English people and will only serve you when they feel like it and not before they light a cigarette and finish it.
The food is simply terrible, we had all inclusive and couldn't stomach how bad it was, so spent a fortune eating in local restaraunts for breakfast, lunch and dinner for the whole duration of our stay.
The drinks are horrible. Soft drinks were mostly not on and when they were they didn't resemble a soft drink i've ever had (weve uploaded photos) only the lobby had spirits which tasted like chemicals. Only the beer was drinkable, and not great. There was no water and the coffee was rarely served but when it was it was in little plastic cups.
Our rooms were in a poor state. The toilet didn't flush, the shower was broken, the plaster was coming off the wall around the door frame, the toilet sliding door was hanging out of the wall. The light bulbs were either very dull, or not working at all, we had to replace 2 bulbs ourselves to have any light in the room at all at night. My brother in laws bed was covered in dried vomit and faeces on arrival and didn't get changed.
Cleaning was done with one dirty mop bucket, and there were no clean towels available.
The air cons were leaking in both our rooms and my balcony flooded by it.
There was cigarette ash in the only cup in our room.
The restaurant bar was closed every lunch and hot drink machine broken, the pool bar unstocked and unmanned the majority of the time. There was no food as advertise.
The pool is large, but dirty. There was broken glass in the pool and the staff did not care. There was a broken light still attached to wires floating in the water. The safety bar on small pool is not attached. The pool was not cleaned or tested and there was no lifeguards.
There is no lift, so if you have small children in prams, or mobility problems, you will have trouble getting to your rooms if they are not ground floor.
This is / was, quite simply, the worst hotel we have ever been to. The food is the worst we have ever been served, anywhere. The drinks were the worst we have had, anywhere and the service shocking.
We made the best of the holiday, but had to pay far more money than we ever intended buying food and drinks from local shops. At least the beach is near, so you can go there instead of use the dirty pool, and risk cutting yourself on glass in the water.
We have never before left a review where I can honestly say, do not stay here. Do not give them your money, book a different hotel in the resort.
The hotel, including the room, was not clean. Only got fresh towels once, and bed sheets were never cleaned.
The food was awful and cold no matter how early we arrived at the restaurant. It was that bad we only ate there no more than 3 times even though we were all-inclusive
Staff were really unfriendly . We were even told on more than one occasion, drinks were not being served anymore bar as the bar was closed only to return to the bar an hour later seeing the same barman still serving none English guests .
Definitely would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Only good thing was it's location.
Negatives - The rooms are not maintained to a high cleaning standard. The cleaners I assume only sweep, mop and empty bins as dust was thick in places and mirrors were dirty and mold was visible in the bathroom. The cleaners maybe cleaned our room once whilst we were there and I had to ask a cleaner for more tissue paper via Google translate as they did not understand any English words. The covers used in the dining room were filthy (need washing on 60') the food was not very nice either. We paid for all inclusive but ate out for every evening meal as the food choices were poor. The hotel backs onto a fun fair which can be quite noisy at night this was not a problem for us but it may be an issue for the elderly or families with babies and toddlers.
The employees were so rude, and no-one talked another language different from Bulgarian and Russian.
We had all inclusive, but we never eat at the hotel restaurant, only salad and French friends, nothing good to eat.
It was a terrible experience, we even ask for the money back. I will not recommen regina hotel to anyone, I give one stra because I can't put no stars.
I believe it is close to two stars.
