The rooms are a little oldschool/outdated but they are clean and the beds are relatively comfortable. The location of the hotel is great. Air conditioning works well which is a huge plus for the rooms that are located on the front which have sun almost all day.

I RECOMMEND! Great location. Good hotel to stay in. Make sure you stay on the second or third floor in a room with a full view of the sea. 7 minutes walk to the closest accessible ( for free) beach ( good one, no showers on the beach)

Great hotel, sunny, right in front of marina, clean rooms and bathrooms, friendly staff - they are like elfs, nicely taking care of guests.
We come to Balchick for summer holiday every year, and we rediscover its air of royalty.

I ordered two amaretto sours, which is my usual drink, but I was very disappointed with what I received.

Firstly, the color of the drinks was noticeably off compared to the typical amaretto sour, and they tasted awful. When I brought this to the attention of the barista, he insisted that the drinks were made according to the recipe, despite the color being different from what is shown in both the original recipe and your menu.

I requested that the drinks be remade, but when the barista brought two new cocktails, they were still not up to standard. To add to my frustration, the barista charged the new drinks to my room, on top of the first two drinks which I had barely touched due to their poor taste.

I ended up paying for four drinks, two of which I only took a few sips of because they were so poorly made. It is unacceptable to me that there is no form of “warranty” or quality assurance for drinks that are not prepared correctly.

I believe that I should not have been charged for drinks that were not made properly and that I did not consume.

And the ac in the rooms is broken, working full speed, we have 28 degrees in the room.

If you're looking for the best hotel in town, this should be your best choice! Their cáfe works throughout the year and it can be visited not only by hotel guests, but also outter people! Highly recommend!

Very comfortable hotel, right in the middle of the promenade of the beautiful Balchik. Free parking and a great restaurant, serving all kinds of fresh sea food and other specialties. It is open all year round. Very nice view of the Black Sea. Close to the botanic garden.

- excellent location and view
- breakfast was okay, nice to have breakfast on the esplanade
- close to the beach
- bottle of water in the room
- good curtains
- good insulation, although on the esplanade and a lot of foot traffic, in the room it was quiet

- had to pay 14 Lev a day for parking - only cash
- no hot water between 17:00 and 22:00. When I asked the receptionist if there is a problem, he apologised and advised me to try later, as it seems like a lot of guests are using the water in the same time. Strange for a 4* hotel not to have hot water
- bed is hard - basically mattress on plank
- there were hairs in the bathroom, on the floor and close to the sink
- coffee could be better

Stayed at hotel for one night in August. Location is excellent. Check in good and hotel room dated but that's it style so no problem it was what I expected. Room with sea view again very good. What really let this down was the breakfast. Nothing was covered everything was covered in flies I couldn't eat anything it put me off. Such a let down when plastic covers or lids on metal trays could stop this. Reason for rating the property average as breakfast is expected to be good or better than expected.

Do not accept the first floor, as it is a so-called sea-view room, paid like this, but you can only see the restaurant's terrace and hear the noise coming from there. Veeeery poor wi-fi. No Romanian TV programmes, though Romanians are 70% all year tourists. Poor "cleaning" of the bathroom - I prefer not to comment. Polite and helpful receptionist. So far - not happy (it is my 17th stay in Balchik, my 38th in Bulgaria, but the first at Mistral and had greater expectations...), maybe the breakfast will make my (Easter) day...

One of the few hotels open off-season. The staff was nice and the room was clean. Overall it was a very nice experience. The parking was not included but it was pretty cheap.
