The personnel is fantastic (mostly all of them) specially if they try to help you.  The room is average/medium due they give you a non renovated, non climatized room and a non screen shower in the bathroom so when you take a shower everything is a mess. Nice ambience in the hotel (reception area) and good in general (because of the offer I got from Trip, 41€)  300 mts from the central railway station...

It's good value for money, but I don't really like the decorating style; it's a bit oppressive and old-fashioned.

Although advertised as four star hotel it's nowhere near. The rooms are average, cleaning service don't come every day and the bins near entrance are usually full of garbage. The staff at the reception could be more polite, and in general every evening there are a lot of murky guys and obscure dressed ladies coming into hotel. Probably will not take this hotel next time I'm in Sofia.

In general hotel was nice but my experience from the breakfast was very poor. To be honest the service did not clean the tables, it was very difficult to find the rable without leftovers from the food of predecessors. Additionally satin stairs were full of stains. It was visible that somebody spoilt something on the seat or grabbed the back of the chair with his dirty hand. Awful.

Astoria Grand Hotel is definitely not a 4-star hotel. The breakfast is very modest, both in terms of variety and quality. A bit below 4*. Like any 4*hotel in Sophia, the breakfast is poor and the coffee is hardly drinkable. The casino downstairs is a bit out of my taste. Half of the people are nice, half of them are a bit cold, none of them exagerates. Some stuff in the bathroom is occasionally broken or malfunctioning. The nice restaurants are within a 30+ minute walk.

I went to the panorama restaurant. Gread food, pricey but worth it. A few things were dated but I was impressed they got dishes such as geese liver and veal cutlets correct. Hotel Marinela -- Truly a Unique Experience! The Hotel Marinela is truly unique, perhaps resembling a huge boutique hotel. The decor is unmatched, and maybe not to everyone's taste. But that's what has given the Marinela its special character all these years. The restaurants provide excellent offerings, the staff was extremely courteous, and my suite was outstanding!

Great hotel, awesome comfortable rooms. The facilities are great, the bar and restaurant are of good quality. The gym has new equipment and fantastic airconditioning. The sauna and steembath were both great too. The only thing you could miss are a hot tub and/or pool really.

A luxurious hotel with a nice spa and extremely rich and high-quality food. Suitable for business or family vacation. Tennis or bike rental is available, and there are also golf lessons. Great place, beautiful nature, places to walk outside, clean room, clean spa zone, well equipped fitness center, delicious food and amazing staff! There were 1-2 things we would like better- the pool could be warmer and in the room the person who slept on the additional bed was cold as the wind was blowing through the closed windows.

Very nice hotel close to airport

The roads around the hotel were steep, which made walking difficult. Other than that, everything was perfect.

Even though I only stayed for a few hours to get some sleep, this was the hotel with the best-smelling bed sheets I’ve experienced so far. It really left a great impression on me. The only issue was waiting a bit too long during check-out. But I would definitely choose this hotel again.

Very close (6 mins) drive from the Sofia airport. Very convenient as we were driving to Bansko for our annual skiing trip. Very clean, Family friendly and easy to book.

The facilities are modern and the service is excellent. However, they do not provide bottled water. You have to take your empty bottles to the water dispenser in the corridor to get water.

Stayed for two nights. The hotel is very clean. It must be a new hotel. The facilities are also new. It is very convenient to be next to a supermarket. The front desk service is good. The check-out was two hours late on the last day. Thank you very much. I hope to come again in the future.

They don't clean the room every day, and even if they do, they don't change the towels. That's really not good.

It is located in the best place in the city center of Sofia, walkable to various kind of restaurants of all kinds. 5 minutes walk to subway station. Very nice rooms. I reserved a parking spot and it was outside in front of a bank. Paid same amount for parking as others that received underground parking. Perfect location. Close to the Paradise Mall and other attractions. Easy to get a taxi if you need to go somewhere. Close to shops to buy food etc. make sure you try their hot chocolate at breakfast time and they can also borrow you an umbrella when needed if it rains and you have to go out. We had the absolute best time here last week. We had a junior sweet with large balcony. Room equipped with toiletries, dressing gown, slippers. The hotel does have old decor but that gives it a very cosy feel. All staff polite, smiling and welcoming, food amazing, ski hire below hotel. We had a fantastic week in Borovets staying here. Our room was big and comfortable, the hotel was quiet but we appreciated that after a day skiing and plenty of breakfast choices every morning. Lovely bar area with nice cocktails, we had dinner in the restaurant which was authentic Bulgarian food and the Spa was great.
