Old hotel, but the breakfast was amazing

This is not the first time I have stated in Grami it has a perfect location, and the price is good. Also, it is close to some key points.

An average hotel. Nothing too special.

Stayed for three nights and barely got any sleep. At night the main road adjacent to the hotel becomes a race track with motorbikes roaring and screeching as they race until around 3am, dreadful.

Very friendly staff; great location and close to subway and the business park. Undortunately the restaurant in the hotel was closed without notice:- that was very disappointing. No room service either

The room was clean and spacious enough, with a stocked fridge. The view of the wide road makes the room better suited for winter trips (when you can leave the windows closed) rather than summer. You need to book in advance if you want to use the Spa. The restaurant on the top floor offers a great view and balanced Bulgarian dishes. The one thing that I would rate five stars is the breakfast buffet...

Good location for travel and chill out.

Pros: Good location, the hotel isnt as bad as what the comment saids online. The cleanliness is within good standard and honestly I can see the hotel owner trying their best to maintain this hotel. No bedbugs or whatsoever in the hotel and the room size is great. If you are a historic enthusiast, this hotel is perfect for you. Perfect location, budget stay. The hotel is aged and maintenance is overdue, but it's not as bad as written in other reviews. Breakfast is okay. A decent, no-frills option.

Old hotel but maintained. Medium sized room with a double bed. Bathrooms are small but clean. Location is almost good. Yards away from tram service, and few steps away from bus. Reasonably priced. Check-in is little bit slow but ok. Receptionist is smiling and helpful.

The check in procedure takes more than 40 mins. At the beginning , the front desk said that he cannot find my reservation and ask me wait until he at last find my reservation. Otherwise, the hotel is excellent!

Close to pedestrianised street with plenty of cafes and bars. Metro close by also. Both location and rooms were top notch. Bar closed early so couldnt even get a sandwich as I arrived at 23.00hrs. But had a lovely time.

The location is good and the people from reception are cooperative. The hotel itself is old and although the rooms and common areas are clean, it's obvious that everything around is in need of a massive renovation. The breakfast was kind of a buffet, but at least when I was there, they filled the tables once and that was it. No own hotel parking, but they can arrange a parking place 300 meters away...

This isn't our first time staying here. It's a fairly comfortable hotel. However, during our last visit, there were no face towels in the room, and the kitchen had very few appliances. There was a stove, but no pots or pans. It's a shame there wasn't a microwave.

The hotel provided bottled water on the first day, but I don't know why they stopped providing it after I bought it. They had disposable slippers, and the tobacco selection was limited. However, the restaurant staff were quite pretty.

The location is fantastic, right in the center of Sofia, making it very convenient for getting around. It's about a 25-minute drive to the airport. However, the facilities are a bit old, and the breakfast selection isn't very extensive. The soundproofing in the room was poor; there was a constant whooshing sound – I couldn't tell if it was the elevator, the metro, or the trams outside.

Very nice rooms. I reserved a parking spot and it was outside in front of a bank. Paid same amount for parking as others that received underground parking. Perfect location. Close to the Paradise Mall and other attractions. Easy to get a taxi if you need to go somewhere. Close to shops to buy food etc. make sure you try their hot chocolate at breakfast time and they can also borrow you an umbrella when needed if it rains and you have to go out. It is good value for money and the breakfast is ok. Great location if you need to take coach or train as both stations are within 10 mins walk. Otherwise if planning to explore Sofia probably can find something in a nicer area and more central.

Ideally placed next to the slopes in the forest to stop of a drink or lunch but really spoilt by loud music blasting out - why do these places do it. I am sure that the music is not for the customers - more likely the staff. Winter holidays with children. Only negative. Lots of people, and zero adjustments. The sauna is open until 9 o'clock and of course after skiing it is packed, and after dinner it is closed. Chalet was very cosy and met most of our expectations, however the sauna broke down during our visit. It was quickly fixed the following day, but it was too late. This a great place for your rest, since they have really wide range of options for saunas, pools, infrared sauna room and etc. The staff is amazing! Extremely polite and very hasty! One downside is that some of the saunas were not working which was odd since I going there like every other week, and some of them are not working more than a month. First time at Sophia and this is our hotel. Managed to get an awesome deal on a huge room with a great view and spa treatments included. All the sunas are working pretty great, the massage cost extra, but I didn't get the chance to try it. The only minus is that the gym and hot tub was under renovations. It's located near the Train Station that's why we booked it. But we never used the train (or tram) because we liked to walk, that way we could see more of Sofia. The hotel is located just several minutes away from the main train and bus stations. Rooms are large and double bed is huge. Some elements in the room might be impractical for some people but certainly not disastrous (basically a wet room and not a shower with curtains, low bed and sofa, huge windows that can open just a little bit) but overall it's a very good value and we are glad for staying there...

This hotel is like an oyster. Doesn't look like much from the outside, but inside it's got everything you need. Nice reception, friendly staff, rooms basic but well designed. We stayed at Hotel Edelweiss for 5 nights when we came skiing. We had a brilliant experience the welcome was great despite it being 1am. The room was comfortable and warm.
