My initial room booking wasn't ideal, but after I spoke to Niki and she helped me switch rooms, I was very satisfied. As always, the service was excellent, especially Niki at the front desk who was incredibly helpful throughout. She even gave me extra bottled water and extended my check-out time, which made my trip even more comfortable and enjoyable.

The lobby is really spacious, and Ms. Lydia at the front desk was super enthusiastic and made check-in a breeze. The room was bright with a great view. I had a relaxing day and even saw a beautiful fireworks show at night.

To be honest, the value for money here is incredibly low. The facilities are on par with hotels like Atour, Hilton, Huazhu Novotel, and Mercure, but the price difference is huge. The service is even worse than Atour. The breakfast is just mediocre, nothing like what you'd expect from a five-star hotel, more like what you'd find in a mid-range one. I feel completely ripped off.
The hygiene is really not great; there was hair everywhere.
So, honestly, five-star hotels aren't all they're cracked up to be. There's no need to spend extra money on places like this.

The hotel's facilities are comprehensive and well-equipped, featuring indoor and outdoor pools, as well as a children's play area. Guests can also enjoy complimentary vehicle rentals for exploring around the lake, providing a rich array of leisure and entertainment options that are also highly suitable for families traveling with children. The rooms are designed in an elegant new Chinese style, offering a high level of comfort. The bathroom layout is well-planned. I was in town for a business conference, and all the designated hotels were fully booked, so I had to find a place nearby. That's when I spotted the Marriott and booked it without hesitation. I checked in during the evening, and a lovely lady named Niki at the front desk upgraded me to a lake-view room. She also informed me that the hotel had a fireworks show at 8 PM, which was a very kind and thoughtful gesture. I'll definitely be bringing my family back to stay here again in the future.

Traveling to Midui Mountain, there aren't many hotel options near Taihu Lake, so I chose this one. It was about 100 RMB cheaper than the Renaissance next door, offering better value for money. Both hotels share the same parking lot, swimming pool, and kids' club. Our butler, Minji, proactively added me on WeChat and sent information about local attractions and daily activities. She was also very responsive to any questions. The 7:30 PM fireworks show that night was fantastic! Breakfast was crowded, but the hotel handled the capacity exceptionally well. There was a wide variety of food, and items were refilled promptly.

Our stay at the Suzhou Taihu Marriott was fantastic! We got a complimentary upgrade to a lake-view room, and the expansive view was absolutely stunning. The hotel has a great variety of activities for kids; our little ones especially loved the mini-train and the kids' playground. Plus, there were romantic fireworks on Saturday evening. The gym and pool facilities are excellent, and we even rented bikes to cycle along Taihu Lake – a perfect way to relax. The staff were all incredibly attentive and friendly. Minji, in particular, was proactive and thoughtful, patiently and thoroughly answering all our questions. Our whole family had a wonderful and comfortable stay. Highly recommend!

Our stay at the hotel was very comfortable. The lake-view room was spacious, and we had a great view of the fireworks. The bedding was also very comfortable. A special thank you to our butler, Niki, who was incredibly thoughtful and attentive. Any issues we had were addressed very promptly, and she even notified us about activities in advance via WeChat. When we got lost hiking up Yuyang Mountain and returned to the hotel late, she told us not to rush and to be careful, which really warmed our hearts. [playful emoji]

The room location is excellent, and the service attitude is great. They proactively offered a late check-out because I had something urgent to attend to. The environment is superb, right by Lake Tai, perfect for an evening stroll. It's a great place to escape the daily grind.

The hotel's dining is completely online, and the breakfast buffet offers a rich variety of Chinese and Western options. Specialty dishes like Suzhou-style braised pork noodles and scallion oil waffles taste amazing, and the freshly prepared items are delicious and fresh. The Marriott Chinese restaurant has incredible views, with window seats directly overlooking Taihu Lake. The dining environment is elegant, the dishes are exquisite and authentic, portions are generous, and it offers great value for money. The lobby lounge has a comfortable atmosphere, and the afternoon tea is refined and tasty; it's super relaxing to sit there in the afternoon.
