It has changed named to be called Gusu Courtyard Hotel. Room is modern but be ready for noise due to entertainment provided by the hotel next to the lobby but they finish by 10:30pm. They also provide ear plugs. Location is very central yet separated to give the corridors a private view. Facilities are good although room can be cozier.

The breakfast provided by the hotel tastes good. The room is very spacious and the view from the window is also good. The front desk staff I met during my stay were very friendly. They even gave me a snack bag when I checked out.

The location is very good, quiet in the bustle, just across Shantang Street, not far from the Lingering Garden. Rooms facing the river have a great view. On the edge of the restricted area, foreign license plates are limited during the morning and evening peaks on weekdays, but it does not seem to be affected during holidays.

I loved the location...everything was so walkable. The owner was nice, friendly and we even chatted she suggested me places to visit... However, I went around the new year the prices were high which makes sense. But overall, the stay was fine.
