Hotels in Staryy Gorod in Suzhou

Highly recommend !!! Worth it !!! I'd come back to stay here again if there's chance

Great hotel. Will 100% return to stay here again If I’m back. Design of the hotel is great. I like the fact that I can go to panman just beside. Also went for breakfast and there’s fantastic choices

I found the environment to be comfortable in all aspects, but the service really fell short. A big plus for the concierge who opened the car door and helped with luggage upon arrival, but that act of service unfortunately set a high expectation. Upon reaching the front desk for check-in, the unprofessionalism and impatience of the staff were very apparent. Additionally, the hotel is huge, and it takes...

This is a large hotel, designed in the classic Suzhou-style architecture, with beautiful garden landscapes. The back entrance offers direct access to the Pan Gate Scenic Area. The hotel spans approximately 32,000 square meters and features 336 guest rooms. It boasts four dining options: Cuiyingyuan All-Day Dining, Haitainlou Chinese Restaurant, Ruimian Noodle House, and Taying Cafe. There are roughly...

This hotel is definitely worth experiencing. It's located near Panmen Gate, and with your room card, you get free access to the Panmen Scenic Area, which basically becomes your backyard. This was especially wonderful during the May Day holiday when there were evening activities in the scenic area, making it incredibly beautiful. It was super convenient for visiting with elderly family members and children...

This was by far the best hotel experience during my trip to Suzhou, highly recommended! It offers excellent value for money, seamlessly blending traditional Suzhou architecture and landscapes – every corner is a picturesque view. The front desk staff, especially the lady who checked me in, was incredibly helpful and even upgraded my room to a suite for free. The room's facilities and decor were impeccable...

Great service and location ! It is so near all the tourist spots .. Room is very clean and great reception when we check in. Highly recommended!

The staff Xu was extremely helpfuf; he called and arrange DiDi taxi to help send me to the Express train station when I had the trouble to do so.

Great location, clean and staffs are helpful. Opp ping jiang area where there’s many place to walk and shop. There’s gym and laundry room on the same floor as the one I stay which is super convenient

Clean and large rooms with impeccable customer service. The location is also excellent as it is just 1 street across the touristy shopping district Ping Jiang Rd where you can shop for souvenirs and dine till late.

Stayed 2 nights with family in the Hello Kitty room, the kids were thrilled, room was spacious, clean and in great condition. Staff were helpful and attentive. Hotel is located close to amenities, eateries and directly across to Ping Jiang Rd which has plenty of speciality shops. We thoroughly loved our time at Suzhou and would highly recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Suzhou.

Pingjiang lu is directly opposite the hotel. 15 mins ride to Suzhou railway station. Room is spacious and clean, shower water is strong, heater consistent 👍

This hotel is perfect for families with kids. It's super convenient, right next to the subway, which is a great location. Plus, Guanqian Street is just behind it, so it's incredibly easy to grab some snacks. Parking is free and the lot is huge. It's a traditional hotel, but the service is excellent. They even provide kids' slippers, toothbrushes, and bath tub covers. They saw I had a child with me...

Great value for money and a fantastic location, making it super convenient for getting around. I always stay here, especially during the Chinese New Year, May Day, and National Day holidays. Guanqian Street is right outside, and the parking is a major plus.

Without a doubt, this is the worst five-star hotel I've ever stayed in. The rooms and facilities are old and run-down. Everything from the walls to the elevators and the room fixtures was filthy. The weirdest thing is there's no proper shower in the room, just a bathtub. If you want to shower, you have to stand inside the tub and use a handheld sprayer. On top of that, the water temperature was impossible...

The hotel was quite peaceful, and the service was patient and thoughtful, promptly resolving any issues we had. We even received a complimentary room upgrade upon check-in. A definite highlight was the incredibly rich and varied breakfast!

The hotel room was quite clean and the location was excellent. It's really close to all the attractions and gardens, making it super convenient to get around. Pingjiang Road is within walking distance, and the metro station is only about a five-minute walk away.

Came to Suzhou with my family. The hotel environment was clean, and the beds were just the right firmness – not too soft, not too hard. Great value for money! The main thing is how convenient the location is; it's close to everything. I'd definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit Suzhou. Highly recommended!

The room was spacious and cleaned meticulously every day! We received several bottles of mineral water daily, and the staff were all very polite! Special thanks to Xiao Guo, the free tour guide in the garden, whose explanations were thorough and insightful! We even received sachets as a gift!

The breakfast was excellent, not only for its wide variety but also for how delicious everything was. The surrounding landscape was beautiful too, giving you the feeling of dining in a Suzhou garden. Taking a stroll around the hotel, you could really feel its rich historical atmosphere.

Twenty years ago, I stayed at the Nanyuan Hotel for the first time in Suzhou and had a great impression. This time, I chose it again when I revisited Suzhou, and overall, it was still pretty good. The service is still warm and the environment is still beautiful, but the aging facilities led to an unsatisfactory experience. The socket cover was missing, the bathroom glass door didn't seal properly,...

This was my second stay at the Nanyuan Hotel, and the experience keeps getting better. This time, I stayed in a Fragrance Twin Room in the main building, which was very convenient for dining and getting around. The hotel has several historical sites and has hosted many famous figures, with dedicated guides giving tours daily. The excellent service, especially regarding the external environment, goes...

This is an older five-star hotel with beautiful gardens. The hotel's overall environment is excellent, and the service is great. The breakfast was also very good, and my family loved it! Both the elderly and children were very satisfied, and it's also very convenient for getting around!

The front desk staff upgraded our room for free. The toiletries were L'Occitane, and the room was spacious with new facilities, including a separate toilet, shower, and a bathtub. Free parking was a bonus, and we received complimentary fruit through our Ctrip booking. Very satisfied! It's also just a few minutes' walk to the Master of the Nets Garden and Tongde Hsing Noodle House.

The location is very Excellent and near the Metro. Lots of restaurants and roadside stalls. There are shops that sell clothes etc. Many choices to choose from. The service is excellent staff very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is below average. The room is acceptable but the Air con and ventilation is really bad. You feel hot and not much air. The hotel needs to improve on this.

Stayed for 3D2N at this Hotel Soul Suzhou in October 2024. The hotel is just 5mins walk from Chayuanchang metro station 察院场(地铁站) via Exit 3. The exit 3 has upward escalator but no downward escalator. Therefore if you have big luggage you might need to carry it down. The reception staff allowed us to check in pretty early in the morning and given us to a lower floor room with windows at 312. Same floor...

This hotel is the located at the centre of everywhere, including hotspot, metro, eat & shop. The interior design is modern, spacious & cozy. The room & toilet are big, and the breakfast is good & just like 4 stars international hotel. Recommend for first timer to Suzhou

The service is very good, the decoration and facilities are very new, the service is excellent and polite, the bus driver is kind and polite, the counter is also very helpful, the TV in the room has multinational channels to facilitate foreign business travelers, and its location is excellent, the alley is a shopping street, it is highly recommended to stay

5-star experience every time. The staff are second to none

In the business district. Plenty of good food and shops in the vicinity. Staff were polite and friendly. A gem in Suzhou. Breakfast spread offers a variety of local and international food Highly recommended to stay in this hotel if you are in suzhou

I'm a regular at Sun Plaza, as my office is nearby and the transportation is convenient. This time I booked a standard room, which was upgraded to a family room. Everything else was fine, but I have two suggestions: 1. Please upgrade the hair dryers. The old models that require you to hold down the button are a pain. 2. The window seals are no longer tight, so on windy nights, you can hear the wind...

The hotel's location is super convenient, really close to the subway, Lingering Garden, and Shantang Street. The facilities are excellent, and the environment is lovely with a sky garden where you can relax. Plus, it's very clean.

The good its have good price and cheap and good quality one

Simple hotel for staying in. Near to Shangtang. Convenient to travel to the sights in Suzhou. The car drop off point should be improved as there is an area in front of the hotel for cars to drop off but it is cordoned off so we had to drop off at the road.

This is my second stay at this hotel, and I chose it again for its convenience. It's super easy to get around, with a subway station right downstairs. This makes visiting attractions a breeze; Qilishantang is within walking distance, and other sights are easily accessible by subway. Parking is also very convenient, as you can access your room directly from the underground garage. I'll definitely stay...

Shower water pressure was great. Pillows were abit too flat for my liking. Can feel the springs in the mattress. Location was great. Near malls and walking distance to Shantang street

The hotel's location is great, just a short walk to Guanqian Street, making it very convenient for getting around. There are public transport and metro stations nearby. Facilities: The hotel lobby for check-in is on the 3rd floor. Breakfast is provided in the mornings with a good variety of brands and types, including both Chinese pastries and Western bread. Hygiene: The room was clean and even had...

Location: Very convenient transportation, making it easy to visit attractions. Suzhou-style Cheongsam Free Experience: Although I didn't try it, this is a great offering. Service: The front desk and concierge staff were exceptionally friendly. There were convenient sticky notes with attraction guides at the hotel entrance. Facilities: Some rooms offer views of the iconic Suzhou Center, and the bedding...

Drove here and specifically chose this hotel. It has an underground parking garage, and the location is absolutely fantastic. It's right on Guanqian Street, and getting to Pingjiang Road is super convenient. The room was clean and quiet, the bedding was comfortable, and the breakfast had a great variety. The service was full of thoughtful details. Staying here in Suzhou made everything so easy!

Quiet, tidy, and spotless! The staff were incredibly attentive and took great care of us, even providing slippers for the kids. This is our second stay, and we'll definitely be back when we return in the spring.

The hotel is located on the third floor of the Youngor Mall. The room was quite spacious and clean, and the service was very thoughtful. After checking in, I was even given a small bottle of osmanthus honey sauce, and upon checking out, I received chocolates.

The room was spotless and well-equipped. Location: Very close to Guanqian Street, Pingjiang Street, and Humble Administrator's Garden. Service: Professional and accommodating. We were upgraded to a better room directly, and when checking out at 12:00, since there were available rooms, they readily agreed to extend our check-out time to 14:00.

This is a truly historical garden hotel. I looked it up, and it was built during the Qing Dynasty, making it a tourist attraction in itself. The location is unbeatable; you just step out and you're on Pingjiang Road, which is Suzhou's most iconic ancient street and a must-visit when in Suzhou. You can easily walk to the Humble Administrator's Garden, Lion Grove Garden, and Suzhou Museum from here....

The location is excellent, just a few minutes' walk to several attractions, yet it's surprisingly quiet despite being in a bustling area. The hotel has its own garden, which is perfect for photoshoots, especially during holidays when tourist spots are crowded. The vegetarian noodles for breakfast were delicious and made up for not being able to try the vegetarian noodles at Xiyuan Temple this time...

The room was quite comfortable, and the hotel itself had an antique garden style, which was very charming. The front desk service was especially attentive. I requested a one-hour late check-out until 1 PM, and the front desk staff immediately checked the possibility and promptly extended my room key.

Staying at the Book Aroma Mansion Pingjiang Mansion truly immerses you in the ancient charm of Jiangnan. The exquisite Suzhou-style carved windows frame the garden's pavilions, waterside structures, and black-tiled roofs amidst lush greenery, making every photo a picturesque, ancient-style masterpiece. The hotel boasts a century-old garden, offering a tranquil and elegant environment, and it's just...

Whenever I return to Suzhou from abroad, I always choose Pingjiang Lodge. It holds a special place in my heart because I used to walk past it and Pingjiang Road every day on my way to school. Plus, the hotel boasts a 500-year-old 'Half Garden.' Though small, it's a quintessential Suzhou garden where you can sit and enjoy tea, complete with parrots that say 'hello.' It's truly a remedy for homesickness...

Stepping in here feels like entering a beautiful, ethereal wonderland. Each door is like a portal, transporting you through time. The garden's rockeries and flowing streams... The room itself is a perfect blend of classic and modern, spacious and comfortable. The bathroom has a separate wet and dry area, and the Bulgari toiletries have a delightful fragrance. The staff are warm and friendly, making...

Xucheng Scholars Hotel is located near a subway station, with Starbucks, FamilyMart, and KFC nearby, making it very convenient. The room facilities, while a bit dated, were acceptable. The front desk staff were polite, quick, and helpful in arranging taxis. The friendly and attentive service provided a comfortable and welcoming experience.

The food is only Chinese. No one speaks English in reception. Dårlig wifi. Good staff and clean

The hotel is only 40-50 meters from the subway station No. 2. It is a hotel with a strong cultural atmosphere, clean facilities, good front desk service, and free souvenirs when checking out. It is recommended to order only Aozao noodles for meals on the second floor. Other stir-fried dishes are not recommended, especially red willow mutton skewers. The 38 three skewers are like the messy skewers fried...

Very nice location and the receptionist are speak English

Great location, just less than 100metre walking distance exit from MRT station. Good front desk service. The hotel looks aged and air conditioning is not functioning well. The temperature setting is useless even though setting the temperature to 21degc, the room temperature still remain as 25/26degc. Tried to make complaint to front desk and they said can’t fix it. Only can provide a stand fan as a...

Not a new building hotel but condition still maintain Very good, suggest to especially for small group. The price abit pricy but is good place to relax but the breakfast just moderate. And there are many convenient food store need to miggle around. Overall still consider not bad as 1st time explore

Breakfast was good. Sally and Susan provided excellent service. The location is very convenient.

Great location, very convenient. Susan provided excellent and warm service. I'm very satisfied.

The location is fantastic! It's within walking distance to Lingering Garden and MixC. The room was spacious, clean, and quiet. The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful in answering questions. I'd definitely choose to stay here again next time.

Five-star strong recommendation! The Holiday Inn Express Suzhou Liuyuan Shantang Street is simply amazing! As expected from an InterContinental Hotels Group property, the quality is superb! The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic. You can walk to Shantang Street and Lingering Garden within 10 minutes, and it's only a 4-minute walk from Shilu Station on Metro Line 2, making it convenient to reach...

The hotel's location is excellent, and there's a new shopping mall, MixC, next door, which makes it quite busy. The breakfast was good, and the staff, especially Susan and Yifan, were wonderful. They even gave us complimentary ID card holders.

Sally and Lucas provided excellent service. The hotel's luggage storage after check-out was very convenient, and the location is easily accessible. Highly recommended!

It is located near the local market and the centre and near the metro station. The staff are kind. The room is clean. I will be back next times.

Room clean and new looking. Toilet all clear glass, if sharing with friend, might be odd.... Cross the road, you are at pengjiang road, also near shopping area. Metro 1 exit 1 is near by, less than 10min walk.

The room was clean, though a bit small, but overall comfortable. The location is very convenient, making it easy to get around the city. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which added to the positive experience. I’d be happy to stay here again on my next visit to Suzhou.

Extended a night here since I had a pleasant stay! Would stay with this chain in the future.

The room is okay, breakfast delicious also n variety choices. At night provide supper too just size too small need order two or three. Anyway location is strategic n okay, just they not check properly the TV remote is not working well, water heater also not working well.

This is a smartly designed hotel targeting the younger business/leisure travellers in China, the employees were all friendly and helpful, the room and amenities were adequate, clean and functional, the location was central. Overall I have had a lovely stay, will return.

A very comfortable hotel. The front desk manager was incredibly welcoming, arranging our room and making restaurant reservations – perfect service! The hotel restaurant offered delicious and affordable food, and we enjoyed authentic Suzhou specialties like Squirrel-shaped Fish and Braised Pork. The room facilities were complete, and the bathtub was very clean. The only minor drawback was the confusing...

The stay exceeded my expectations. The hotel was exceptionally clean, with every corner of the room professionally sanitized. The mattress was just right, providing great relief from fatigue, and the shower had consistent water pressure. The staff were also very well-trained.

I came to stay again, and this time I booked a twin room. The room was as clean and tidy as always, and it was also very quiet. The central air conditioning worked great. However, one thing to note when staying here is to control the room's humidity, otherwise it can feel quite dry. The service, facilities, and environment are all top-notch. Everyone can rest assured when staying here, I highly recommend...

There's parking available both underground and above ground, which is great. Overall, everything was excellent. The rooms are spacious, the bedding is new, and lunch was delicious. The bathroom has a bathtub, and there's even a heater in the room.

This hotel is absolutely fantastic! The lobby is beautiful, and the ladies at the front desk provide excellent service, always smiling and ready to help with anything. It happened to be a holiday when I stayed, and I even received an apple as a gift. Definitely a hotel with incredible value for money!

The room was clean and hygienic, the staff were all great, the restaurant food was delicious, and the location was excellent. There's a bus stop right outside and parking available. I extended my stay for another night; it's a good place to stay.

The hotel was very clean, comfortable and convenient, thank you!

Excellent location. A few steps from Metro line 4. Clean and roomy. Staffs are excellent and patient with Google translator.

Pros: The staff is friendly. There is a small fridge in the room. The room is bright. There is a bathtub. Cons: The location is not ideal—it’s far from the main attractions, and those nearby are not very interesting. The hotel is showing its age. Some furniture is chipped, and there is mold in the bathroom. The cleaning staff used chlorine, leaving a strong smell that lingered for the entire next...

Price is slightly high as the breakfast is excluded compared to others. Overall is good, the front desk and technicians are helpful when needed

Excellent hotel. The room was clean, spacious. Good location, close to the subway. Overall, I would highly recommend it.

The overall experience was very good. The hotel is in a great location, very close to the underground and 15 minutes away from railway station.

Overall, this hotel offers a pleasant stay with good service, clean rooms, and a convenient location. The staff are friendly, helpful, and attentive. Although the hotel is currently undergoing renovation work on the lower floors, it did not affect my stay at all, as construction only takes place during the daytime. Even when I rested at lunchtime, there was no noticeable noise. The hotel also provides...

The room was very clean and odor-free. It was fully equipped, and you could ask the front desk for toilet seat covers and razors. The front desk staff had a great attitude, always greeting guests and offering umbrellas on rainy days. The breakfast was also excellent, especially the noodles, and they replenished items quickly.

The room is clean and tidy, with a separate wet and dry area, spacious and bright, and good soundproofing. The bed is high enough and comfortable! Every time I visit Suzhou, I stay at this hotel; they offer pick-up service. The front desk staff are incredibly friendly and helpful!!! They go out of their way to assist with any requests, I love it so much! Right outside the hotel, there are plenty...

The service was excellent, truly wonderful. The room was clean, and they let me check in early, which I really appreciated. The location is great, with plenty of food options nearby. Highly recommended to everyone due to its great location, great hotel services, great breakfast, and I even got a free gift. All in all, very good!

The room is well-equipped, and the front desk service is genuinely amazing, making you feel right at home! I highly recommend everyone stay at this hotel, it's a super five-star experience!!

The room has extreme cigarette smoke smell.. we cant take it.. all china ppl smoke indoor.. So we wont come back this hotel again Room and bed are ok. Clean , spacious .. individual ac so we can control the room temperature Shower water pressure can be improved. Location is good. When we checked in during early morning the reception lady is very helpful .

The room was very spacious, and the location was super close to Pingjiang Road. Plus, their downstairs restaurant was delicious!

The hotel's location is excellent, and the service is great. It's really good value for money... definitely worth visiting again.

Perfect location, 100m from Ping Jiang road and a 15 min walk from the Suzhou museum and Humble Administrator's garden. The hotel itself has a nice history. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Would recommend to anyone sight seeing.

The location is fantastic, right next to Pingjiang Road. It was super convenient to head back to the hotel after a long evening walk there. The hotel itself is a quiet oasis in a bustling area, with no noise disturbances. And that bowl of noodles for breakfast was really good!

I spent a long time choosing this hotel on Ctrip, and it was such a wise decision! We booked two king-sized beds, which were incredibly comfortable for our family of three. The mini-bar drinks and water in the room were complimentary, and the bathroom was spacious with an excellent layout. **Environment**: The room was large and very clean. The hotel itself is made up of several courtyards, and the...

Excellent ambience and room condition. Helpful and friendly staff. Within a short walk to the metro station, convenience store, Starbucks & KFC. Highly recommended

The environment is beautiful and quiet, and it's also close to the subway.

Lovely atmosphere and the staff facilitated my request for a quiet room. Would definitely stay again.

The room had a nice view overlooking the pond below, and the room was very clean! It wasn't overly fancy and the bed was pretty firm, but it worked great for a short stay, and the staff were very helpful and kind!

This is my second time staying at this hotel with friends visiting Suzhou. **Environment:** The ambiance is truly exceptional. The hotel boasts its own beautiful miniature garden, encompassing all the classic elements of a Suzhou garden – pavilions, quaint bridges, and elegant covered walkways. The four-story hotel offers a serene and peaceful atmosphere, and access to and from the property is very...

This hotel offers excellent value for money. It's very close to Sanxiang Metro Station, just a few minutes' walk away. Qilishantang is easily accessible by both metro and bus. A taxi to the Humble Administrator's Garden was only around ten yuan, and after visiting, Pingjiang Road Pedestrian Street is just a stone's throw away, perfect for a quick detour. Getting back to the hotel, while the facilities...
