The air conditioning was extremely noisy. On medium setting, it sounded like a tractor. I called the front desk, but a robot answered the first two times. The third time, it finally answered. Low setting was much better than medium, but I still woke up in the middle of the night even with it!
The sofa was unclean! The bedding was terrible, even worse than at the All Seasons hotel I stayed at recently! The bathroom paper towel holder was thin and bent!
This is the worst Atour hotel I've ever stayed at!
You can clearly hear people laughing as if they were in your room at night. On another night, the neighbors watched TV all night, and the sound was so loud it felt like the TV was in my own room. Unfortunately, the lack of proper soundproofing makes it impossible to get a good night’s sleep. Even though the staff are friendly and nice, the noise issue outweighs everything else. This adds an unnecessary level of stress during business travel or vacation, as sleepless nights leave you waking up late, missing part of the day, or feeling constantly tired. Staying here isn’t worth it if you value your rest and peace of mind.
We often come to Shanghai for the tennis Masters, and this is an ideal location. Shanghai’s metro closes unusually early (for a big city), but there are shuttle buses from the venue after the last match that go directly to Shanghai Indoor Stadium Station, which is a 10-min walk from the hotel.
