The location couldn't be more convenient, right on Donghu Road. You're just a few minutes' walk from popular spots like Alimentari and Oror, making it super easy to check out all the trendy restaurants.

**Facilities:** It has a bit of a retro vibe, but everything works well and is well-maintained, so the actual use and experience were quite good.

**Environment:** Both the street and the evenings are very quiet, which is great for light sleepers. The cherry blossom tree in the courtyard is absolutely beautiful.

**Parking:** Parking spaces are limited, and you'll need to get a parking permit from the front desk.

The room is beautiful and the bedding is very comfortable. Check-in at the front desk was as efficient as always. The location is excellent, quiet yet central, surrounded by lovely restaurants and charming streets! It's perfect for a stroll this season. The swimming pool was also stunning, I just didn't get a chance to take photos.

This downtown hotel, transformed from Du Yuesheng's former residence, boasts a charming old-world ambiance and gets extra points for free parking and a great pool experience. ⚠️ Heads up: Avoid booking the business room. The price difference isn't significant, but the size is almost halved, and there's no shower area in the bathroom, making for a vastly different experience. Service was also a bit average.

A serendipitous discovery, this hotel boasts a strong Shanghai flavor. The staff are warm and welcoming, the rooms are clean, tidy, and well-designed, and the surrounding area offers great food, shopping, and convenient transportation.

The room was spacious, and the bathroom had a separate wet and dry area. The carpet was very clean and tidy. We booked a garden view room, and the lush greenery downstairs was beautiful. The local cuisine at Donghu Hall was both delicious and visually appealing—a fantastic experience.

My first stop back in Shanghai was Du Yuesheng's former residence, East Lake Hotel, to experience the historical memories of a prominent figure from Republican China. The stay exceeded my expectations, from the gate security to the lobby reception and the attentive front desk service. They even arranged a complimentary upgrade to a garden balcony room in advance. The breakfast selection changed daily and was plentiful, and the local Shanghainese dishes for dinner were authentic. The hotel is a tranquil oasis amidst the bustle, and the rooms are spacious with a charming vintage style, retaining a century of heritage. A truly excellent stay!

I loved staying here last year when I visited with friends, so I brought my parents back this year. The front desk, greeters, and cleaning staff were all incredibly friendly and provided top-notch service. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the location is excellent. A historic hotel in the city center, quiet with a beautiful environment, and of course, excellent service. We received welcome fruits. Huaihai Road and Xiangyang Park are both within walking distance. Didn't use the minibar.

Booked this for my parents, and they absolutely love this hotel! They stayed here once before and couldn't stop talking about it. The hotel has a great atmosphere with its vintage decor, and the location is even better. The charming street right outside is perfect for a leisurely stroll. My only wish is for a more diverse breakfast spread. Overall, they really enjoyed it and will definitely be back!

The room environment is top-notch, and the location is excellent. The value for money isn't that great though; the room price is a bit high for the average consumer. However, the location is absolutely superb, right in the heart of old Shanghai's charming atmosphere. I guess you get what you pay for.

Good HK food. Not super cheap but not expensive, I would say 100rmb at least for lunch. Lots of tables, also nice to enjoy tea time. Service is ok, not so much English proficient but it's OK.

I have been in this restaurant in Shanghai with a Chinese friend several times.
At lunch time it is fairly crowded, but it does never take long to get a seat! Their food is very good and reasonably priced. Good value for money. Make sure you get a good variety of food, that makes it more funny eating! The staff is generally very friendly.
