To get there, take Metro Line 2 and exit at Exit 1, then turn right. The entrance is unassuming, and the front desk has a charming vintage yet elegant feel. The rooms are spacious, with a separate wet and dry area and a bathtub. You can control things in the room by voice, and items are delivered by robots, giving it a very modern and high-tech vibe.
1. **Staff Service:** The front desk staff were incredibly friendly, pleasant, and patient. They always greeted guests with a smile, no matter what, and never showed any sign of displeasure.
2. **Convenient Transportation:** The hotel is very well-connected. You can take Metro Line 2 to easily reach all major attractions like Yu Garden, Chenghuang Temple, The Bund, and Jing'an Temple.
3. **Surrounding Amenities:** There are countless restaurants nearby, covering all meals from breakfast, lunch, and dinner to late-night snacks. This renovated old building truly offers a blend of luxury without being ostentatious. It's a gem worth exploring. If I get the chance to visit Shanghai again, I'll definitely stay at this Unforgettable Hostel to continue my exploration.

Hygiene and Environment: The environment is elegant and spacious.
Facilities: Well-equipped facilities. Very comfortable.
The real nightmare happened on our 4th night when we were literally attacked by 3-5 big cockroaches in our room. When we reported this, the hotel manager simply stated that he "is not a professional exterminator" and did absolutely nothing to help us. We weren't offered another room to relocate because the hotel was fully booked. We desperately tried to find another hotel nearby in the middle of the night, but no one could take us in at such a late hour. Thank goodness we had friends in the city and could sleep at their place.
The next morning, we contacted Trip.com to get a refund for the room. The hotel tried to pull a sneaky trick: they offered to cancel our booking with a penalty. This would have refunded our last night but would have also blocked us from leaving a review for our stay. Fortunately, with Trip.com's help, we managed to force the hotel to issue the refund.
This stay completely ruined the impression of our entire trip, and we will absolutely never return here.
My advice to future guests: It is much better to pay a little more for a trusted brand and quality than to stay in a place with completely untrained staff and absolutely zero customer loyalty.
Hygiene: The room was clean and free of any strange odors.
Environment: As a historical building, the exterior entrance is a bit small, but the interior is spacious. The front desk staff greeted me proactively upon arrival.
Service: The service was excellent. Check-in was quick, and the staff provided clear answers to my questions. They upgraded my room and even delivered two bottles of water late at night. Overall, I had a great experience.
