I love this hotel, but when I arrived at 2:30 this time my room wasn't ready, a bit frustrating as check in is 2:00.
Facilities: The room facilities are pretty good. Hygiene: Clean and tidy. Environment: The lobby on the first floor has a large open area with space for relaxation and entertainment. The self-service breakfast is decent, though the variety isn't extensive. Service: The service is good; they're helpful and will assist with any issues.
Truly an amazing hotel, great front desk, fantastic rooms.
Great stay, very clean. Nice gym on site. Breakfast is good in the morning
The hotel front desk staff, Stewie, handled the check-in process professionally and efficiently. The room facilities were well-maintained, and all functions worked perfectly. The room was spotlessly clean, and the environment was comfortable. Overall, it was a good experience.
Very comfortable hotel, also very cozy

Shanghai, 1 Fenyang Road (5 km from centre) 🧭 Map
Great location, but the room's sofa was really dirty, which didn't match Shanghai's metropolitan image. The sofas in the lobby/reception area were also very dirty.
It was great to return to Howard Johnson and the hotel staff Maggie greeted me like a long lost cousin. This is my favourite place to stay in Shanghai due to the location, the gym and the rooms. I will definitely stay here again.
The hotel is located in the heart of Huaihai Road, which is super convenient for transport, right opposite the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. Mr. Li, who checked me in, was amazing! I had mistakenly booked the wrong dates, and when I tried to change it, my original room type wasn't available, so I ended up with different room types for my stay. Mr. Li proactively helped me secure the room type I wanted...
This hotel is located in a bustling area of central Shanghai, conveniently close to the subway station. There's a commercial complex right next door, as well as an old-school Shanghai No. 2 Food Company store, making it super easy to shop and dine.
Great location. Hotel is a bit tired and needs renovation. Very noisy in early morning from downtown stairs garbage area. But service is good.
The in-room facilities are quite old, the service is mediocre, and the soundproofing is poor.

Great value for money! The room was very spacious and the surroundings were quiet. My only minor complaint is that the underground parking doesn't connect directly to the lobby or rooms; you have to go up to ground level first, then enter the hotel through the main entrance.
Good hotel, but not that close to subway station. Reception staff not that friendly. Breakfast expensive compared to other similar hotels.
Spacious room, comfortable king bed, very clean. Just one metro to circus world. Line 1 metro direct to the cbd and the other end is to tennis complex. Really enjoy our stay!
Clean room. Breakfast varieties are great.

The hygiene and service were excellent! They even gave my child two free breakfasts, which was a very kind gesture. The breakfast was plentiful and the view from the window was unique. Plus, it's really close to all the attractions.
First off, the service was excellent! The front desk lady (I think her name was Ashin) was really enthusiastic and professional. I highly recommend the Bund River View room! The view is absolutely stunning!! Although it's a bit older, it's very clean. And the fried dumplings at breakfast were delicious!!! The breakfast overall had a Western focus.
The room was a bit small, and changing elevators was a bit inconvenient. However, the afternoon tea was exquisite, and the view was absolutely stunning. It was quite crowded during the Spring Festival, and the check-in process could definitely be faster.
The facilities are really well-maintained. If you're looking to avoid the crowded Bund, this place is an excellent choice. The views are superb, and getting around is very convenient. The service is top-notch; they're attentive to guest needs but also maintain a respectful distance, without being intrusive. I'm very satisfied.
Stayed at the Ritz-Carlton Pudong for a night during the Chinese New Year. Even though I usually prefer newer hotels, the Ritz's unique charm convinced me. The check-in process was a pleasant surprise. The Ritz-Carlton staff always impresses me with their professionalism and efficiency, and Jennie was no exception. The process was seamless. I had booked a Bund river view room, and Jennie explained...
This was an incredibly satisfying stay, and I rarely write reviews. But this time, I couldn't wait to share my experience. Firstly, every staff member was incredibly enthusiastic and provided excellent service. They even wrote a handwritten card, gifted a 'God of Wealth' cake, and thoughtfully placed it in the fridge. I was truly impressed. There was also a lovely lady from Kazakhstan who spoke Mandarin...

The room was spotless and incredibly quiet. After their bath, my child was asleep almost instantly, even before I finished telling a story. My partner and I also got some great rest, which really recharged us for the next day's activities. Plus, the night view outside the hotel is beautiful; with the right weather and a gentle breeze, it's perfect for an after-dinner stroll with the family. We'll definitely...
The service was excellent. They helped me receive all my packages and even assisted with returning one. The location is also very good, within walking distance to the subway, or a Didi (ride-hailing service) is also convenient. The room was quiet and comfortable, and the bed was great.
This hotel is right by the Suzhou River, and the location is fantastic! It's incredibly quiet and peaceful at night, making for a super comfortable stay. The room isn't huge, but the decor is simple yet cozy, clean, and really atmospheric. The front desk staff were warm, attentive, and had a great attitude. What's most convenient is that food deliveries are brought straight to your room by a robot...
This was my first stay at Atour, and I was thoroughly impressed. The hotel is right next to Suzhou Creek, and the area is wonderfully quiet. The river-view room was very comfortable with a great view. The staff were all polite and enthusiastic. They even offer free congee at 9:30 PM, and the complimentary bottled water is Laoshan mineral water. I'll definitely consider Atour again for my next trip
I really love the location of this hotel, it's perfect for both parents and kids. You can take a stroll along the Suzhou River, and for moms who love beauty, it's a great spot for photos. Plus, there's a whole street of cafes nearby, very 'Shanghai'! For the kids, the Natural History Museum is just a 10-minute walk away! Super convenient!
Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with the hotel. The environment is clean and tidy, and the room is quiet and peaceful. The air conditioning works great, and the breakfast offers a wide variety of delicious options. The staff are enthusiastic and attentive, making for an excellent stay. It's great value for money, and I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time!

This hotel is right in the Tianshan business district, making dining and shopping super convenient. It's also only about 600 meters from the Line 2 subway station. The front desk service was quite good, and the rooms are pretty spacious. The double room even had a sofa bed, so four people could comfortably stay in one room! 😆
Nice hotel close to a lot of good Japanese restaurants and malls, also close to metro. The rooms were good and clean.
Huge thanks to Manager Wang at the front desk for arranging our room in advance! Our flight arrived early, so we got to the hotel bright and early. Since our room wasn't ready yet, Manager Wang arranged breakfast for us and upgraded our room, allowing us to check in and rest much sooner. An unexpectedly great stay! The front desk staff were professional, and the room was clean and spacious. The cleaning lady was also very thorough. I left my headphones in the room after checking out, and the front desk proactively contacted me and helped arrange the express delivery. Many thanks!
Hyatt Place Shanghai Tianshan Plaza enjoys a very strategic and convenient location, making it an excellent choice for both business and leisure travelers. Very disappointing experience for a 4-star hotel. I had two serious issues during my stay. First, the hot water pressure was extremely weak. I contacted the hotel and politely asked if they could help...
Handy location, about 10 mins walk to Science & Tech Museum metro station and then a few stops to Nanjing East stop. Housekeeping was great, consistently kept our room tidy and replaced towels everyday as well. Found food court at next station (Century Ave mall) - which is also walkable.
First of all, I'd like to thank Mr. Sun at the front desk. I left my phone in a ride-sharing car, and Mr. Sun went to great lengths to contact the driver and get my phone back to the hotel. Not far from airport . The breakfast has no western style. I couldn’t able to have good breakfast. The room size good but the carpet needs to be cleaned.
I particularly want to mention the excellent front desk service. Every staff member I encountered was very helpful and attentive, and they addressed my concerns very well. The room was clean and hygienic, and the breakfast was excellent. The location is great, near the subway station, perfect for those arriving at Pudong Airport or visiting Disneyland.

The restaurant is very clean, the breakfast included in the room is a good combination of Chinese and Western food, the front desk service is very good, the main hotel is very clean and comfortable, cost-effective👍
The hotel rooms are very clean and smart. There are many people eating here. I saw many leaders staying here when they came to Shanghai. It should be considered quite famous in Shanghai. The overall experience is great. I will come again next time.
