Shanghai, 1171 Dong Da Ming Road, Hong Kou District, 1171 (2 km from centre) 🧭 Map
Booked this hotel last minute for the May Day holiday, mainly because of the price. For just over 800 yuan, it included three breakfasts, and the location was great. I'd heard of this hotel a long time ago; it's a star-rated hotel from the reform and opening-up era, so I figured it might be a bit old now. Going in with low expectations definitely paid off! The transportation is convenient, and the...
This hotel, part of the COSCO Group, is a well-established property. The interior decor has a vintage feel, a bit dated but generally well-maintained and clean. All the facilities are in working order, and the air conditioning is powerful. **Pros:** The location is a big plus. While the river view is mostly obstructed (you can barely catch a glimpse of the 'four-piece suit' through the gaps), there...
everything was great,i arrived there on my birthday and they provided a piece of a cheesecake, staff is friendly and there’s even a robot deliverer in the hotel, definitely would love to stay there again ❤️
The hotel was great! The room was clean and so spacious. We had such a lovely view from our room window. Great location, walking distance to the North Bund. Breakfast was delicious with a good spread. So well worth it. My friends and I had a great stay.
My child wanted to see Fair Road Wharf, so I booked a room for May Day. They upgraded our room type, which made our stay even more spacious, and the view from the window was also great. You can tell it's an established hotel; the service is very professional. The swimming pool is 1.5 meters deep throughout, so it's not very suitable for children who can't swim.
The room was spotless and tidy, and the bed was just right – not too soft, not too hard – ensuring a great night's sleep. The surrounding amenities are excellent, making it very convenient for getting around. The staff were warm and patient, and the facilities were well-maintained, clean, and reassuring. Overall, I had a very satisfying stay.

The bedding was comfortable and clean. We received a free room upgrade, and we could see Xujiahui Cathedral from our window. The shower had strong water pressure, and the air conditioning got nice and cool. The hotel is located in the heart of Xujiahui, making transportation and dining very convenient. Xujiahui Cathedral, Xuhui Bookstore, and the Jiaotong University campus are all just a stone's throw...
Room was clean, however one of the in charge of cleaning our room was quite rude. Pillows were really soft even after asking for the firm ones. There was not much variety at the breakfast buffet - having the same food daily. During the weekends, food was gone by ~945am and they were not topping up but breakfast was till 1030am. walking distance to the metro and malls nearby.
The location of the hotel is accessible to public transport bus and subway.
Spacious enough to throw a party, which is great! Clean, hygienic, and no strange odors.
Room is clean and spacious. Across the subway and easy to locate. The staff is friendly and complete amenities.
This hotel is incredibly convenient for both shopping and sightseeing. The location is superb, the rooms are clean, and the soundproofing is excellent. The breakfast is also fantastic. It's definitely my first choice for my next stay in Xuhui District!

I frequently visit Shanghai, and lately, I've been exploring Japanese restaurants and shopping at Jin Hongqiao in the Gubei Tianshan area. So, each time, I try out a different hotel nearby. Honestly, I was a bit worried after reading some reviews, but I decided to experience it myself. My experience was actually great. It's a bit of a walk to the subway, but there's a bus stop right outside that takes...
I was here for a certification exam nearby. The floor I was on was very quiet, and the service was excellent in all aspects.
I did laundry twice during my stay, and it was so thoughtful of them to provide detergent for free. I also used the kitchenette to cook some instant noodles for a late-night snack, and the robot delivered them right to my door. The room was cleaned daily and kept very tidy. Great value for money, I've already recommended it to my colleagues.
Although it's an older hotel, it's very well-maintained and clean overall, especially the unique giant painting in the atrium! The service is also quite good, particularly the front desk and concierge staff who are enthusiastic and efficient. Disposable toiletries are conveniently placed at the front desk for guests to pick up as needed, which is a very clever approach. The dining experience was also...
The room was spacious, and I was greeted with a complimentary fruit platter upon arrival. When I returned later, I found a lovely souvenir. I accidentally forgot my key card, but they quickly issued a new one after verifying my identity. They also helped me with my luggage and offered secure, free storage. It was a great travel experience, and I especially appreciated the quiet nights, ensuring a peaceful...
Booked this for a client, and they absolutely loved the room. The hotel is conveniently located in the Changning district, surrounded by Japanese restaurants. It's an older hotel, but it's well-maintained.

This hotel was absolutely perfect! From the warm welcome upon arrival to stepping into our beautifully arranged and comfortable room, every aspect was satisfying. Absolutely loved this hotel, especially room 3106! It was so clean and tidy, and I felt completely comfortable using the bedding and linens. The mattress was incredibly comfortable, and the breakfast was surprisingly amazing too. I even wrote a thank you letter to the hotel staff. I hope to stay at Courtyard again on my next visit!
The room was very quiet and the bedding had no strange odors, so I slept really well. Every time I go to Shanghai Disney, I choose this hotel. The location is great, they have a shuttle, and a taxi is only about ten yuan, which is super convenient. Highly recommended!
The Courtyard by Marriott was our last stop after Disney, and the room was a pleasant surprise! It was super whimsical and childlike, with cute panda and mermaid sculptures that my kid adored. The front desk and concierge were both incredibly welcoming and even helped me plan my route to the high-speed train station.
Extremely close to Shanghai Disneyland, with a free shuttle service that also extends to the airport and the Bund.
Despite a misunderstanding boarding the air post bus transfer, the rest of the experience was excellent. The duty manager, Mr. Edward Fong, was very helpful, and Miss Ashley assisted me during check-out. The breakfast spread was impressive, and I appreciated the buffet’s dedicated Muslim section. Overall, the stay turned into a splendid moment that redeemed the earlier incident

Very good, need to add bidet for non western/chinese guest 😆
room service was convenient. the location was great and there are so many services available including spa, fitness center, coffee shop and pool. i enjoyed my stay
Hotel is very nice. It has a great breakfast buffet. The noise from the jets doesn't start too early in the morning but is evident a little bit later in the day. It's not a huge problem in the room but it is the price you pay for being close to the airport.
Its quite a good airport hotel. Even though it’s not close to the touristic area you can get there fairly easily by subway. Quibao (Line 9) station is about 800m from the hotel, and about 40 minutes from there to downtown. The full Gym is sadly no longer available for hotel guests, and it has been replaced by a reduced fitness room.
Extremely close to the domestic airport. Good size rooms and next to a mall with reasonable prices. Breakfast is a large buffet of western and Chinese foods. Part of tour package so I can't speak to price but it was a pleasant hotel.

Overall was good. Good Location accessible to many places. hotel breakfast and lounge buffet was great. Staffs are helpful and room is very clean. Is a good place to stay at for leisure holiday.
The rooms and service are consistently good, as always. The courtyard in the patio is perfect for friends to gather and chat, offering a unique ambiance. Plus, the location is excellent; it's just a block or two from Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street and Nanjing East Road Metro Station, and also very close to the Bund. Nice location, good service and very clean 😘☺️
Convenient location which is budget friendly. Went over the Chinese New Year period and there were still a number of food choices available in the vicinity.
This exquisite small loft-style hotel offers excellent value for money. It's very quiet, not noisy at all, and parking is quite convenient. It's exactly my kind of place – I don't need a huge room, as long as it's a peaceful and secluded stay.
Great location, clean rooms, and convenient for getting around Shanghai
The location is too far from the city center, but there are all facilities you want, the room is huge, can accommodate up to 4 people
Convenient location with metro train direct entrance around the corner or steps away via a popular food court with many yummy choices. Nice apartment layout. Clean and modern. Right by the south side of the Yan'an Elevated Road, so getting onto the highway is super convenient. This hotel, under the Rongtong brand, is really good; the rooms are well soundproofed. Breakfast and the lobby service are both excellent. Plus, ordering takeout is a breeze!
The decor is a bit dated, but it's still fairly clean. The bathtub in the room drained a bit slowly, so you'd end up showering in half a tub of water. The service staff at breakfast were a bit stiff, but the ladies at the front desk were quite friendly. Overall, it was just an average experience.

The breakfast selection was quite generous, and the hotel environment was what you'd expect. Perhaps due to the season, there was a slight musty smell in the hallway on our floor. It's very close to both the company I was visiting for work and Disneyland. As an annual pass holder, I even managed to squeeze in a quick visit to Disneyland in the evening!
Check-in was super fast, no waiting in line. The room was spotless, and the bedding was soft and comfortable, so I slept really well. The soundproofing was good too; I wasn't disturbed by any noise at night. Overall, the experience was better than I expected.
I chose this hotel specifically to see the Disney 10th-anniversary celebration. It's quite convenient to get to Disney, and you can even buy Disney tickets here. It's also a very international hotel; lots of foreign families with kids stay here. The xiaolongbao (soup dumplings) for breakfast are delicious, I'd even say incredibly delicious! Overall, it's a good stay.

This was my second time staying at this hotel for a trip to Disneyland. The lovely front desk staff upgraded our room, but there was a minor issue with the first one. They quickly helped us switch to another room and even gave a small gift to my child.
Cleanliness: A bit disappointing. When I came back on the second day, I noticed the crumbs from the fried skewers I ate the night before were still on the table. Service: The service was very good. Environment: I wouldn't recommend staying on the fifth floor; there's a swimming pool there.

The hotel is good for just plainly night stay as the hotel don’t have much amenities to offer, but the room are quite ok and spacious and breakfast is quite alright!

Great hotel, courteous staff, nice location. Will definitely stay again.
The hotel boasts a very friendly neighborhood, conveniently located near the Lujiazui central area in Pudong. From here, you can spot Pudong's iconic 'kitchen trio' skyscrapers and other landmarks. The hotel's location is great, right on Nanjing Road, which was perfect for taking the kids out to play. I won't even mention the 60 yuan parking fee we had to pay ourselves, but the cleanliness truly doesn't meet the standards of a state-owned four-star hotel. There were urine stains on the toilet that weren't even wiped clean – please see the pictures. The second one is after I tried to clean it...
The room was decent, and having a desk was very convenient for my business trip. Its central location made it easy to get around, and the area was bustling at night. The room amenities were complete, and the service was friendly. Everything was just fine.
The hotel is located at a superb spot whereby it’s just minutes walk away from the famous Nanjing Road and if you are adventurous enough walkable all the way to The Bund! There’s also lots of eateries around and you can never go hungry here. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful especially towards non-chinese speaking tourists like me 😂. The interior though a little dated, but not a deal breaker...
The bathroom amenities were quite stingy. The 27ml shower gel was just enough for one person, let alone a couple or someone with a child. And 27ml of shampoo isn't even enough for long hair, though it might be okay for short hair. It really doesn't match the price of the room. The staff in the lobby were always rushing around and almost bumped into people; generally, they didn't even greet guests....

I've stayed in many five-star hotels, and this one is generally very good. There's a huge ship right at the hotel entrance, and the lobby looks very grand. The front desk staff were also very friendly. The room was clean, tidy, and comfortable. I booked this hotel through a group deal I saw online, and it definitely didn't disappoint – I just went for it without hesitation and it was a great choice
I was very satisfied with my last stay, so I chose this place again. Haha, is it my good luck that they upgraded me to a suite? The room is amazing! This time I also booked the executive lounge access. The food isn't great, but the drinks definitely live up to the name 'lounge,' especially finding Baileys Irish Cream. Thumbs up! 👍🏻
The self-service breakfast was good. I stayed for two nights, and the young man at the front desk, employee number 8, was very polite. Over the past few days, whether it was the cleaning staff or the check-in personnel, the overall experience has been excellent.
The front desk service was excellent during check-in, and the room was quite good too. The hotel definitely still maintains its old five-star standards. However, I woke up at 1 AM and found that the spotlight in the bathroom was leaking water, forming a puddle on the floor. That was a pretty frightening experience.

Thirdly, it's the modern age, why are they still using bathtubs? They're inconvenient, impractical, and unsafe. Fourthly, the charged services are completely out of line with the hotel's brand. The hotel is really easy to find, right opposite Century Link Plaza, and the transportation is very convenient. The breakfast selection is also quite good. Honestly, the front desk staff, especially the ladies, provided exceptional service – super nice! Overall, it was a pretty good stay!

The hotel's location is excellent, making it convenient to get around. I always stay here when I visit Shanghai. Joanna at the front desk was fantastic; she upgraded our room, and we had a view of the Lujiazui 'Three-piece Set' (famous skyscrapers) and the Huangpu River. The revolving restaurant is also a big draw, and Manager Chu was very friendly. The kids loved it and want to stay here again next...
This hotel is a place where sorcery happens. It was a magic trip, and Novotel Shanghai Atlantis made a very significant contribution to the overall impression. I can be honest to tell you, guys, that it was the most friendly and benevolent staff I'd ever seen in the hospitality industry! We were accommodated right on our early arrival, the room on the 37th floor was perfect, it had mesmerizing view...
Very spacious for 3 adults. However location is not that great. Buffet breakfast food was ok. Sometimes cold food.
We had two separate bookings for different room types, and we would especially like to thank the reception staff for their kindness and flexibility. For the first two nights, we had booked a family room with an extra bed for our child, but this room type was unavailable for the third night. Despite this, the reception team kindly allowed us to stay in the same higher-category family room for our entire...
Lucy at the front desk was incredibly thoughtful and welcoming. She gave us a free upgrade to an amazing room with unbeatable river views. The facilities were comprehensive and everything we needed was provided. At the revolving restaurant on the top floor, Mr. Chu was also very hospitable and even gave a complimentary toy gift to our child.
Wow the view!! We booked for only one night to see the view and we were not disappointed! We did not get to try the breakfast, but there is an aldi downstairs which is nicely stocked. It is connected to a mall with a few eating options. The staff was super helpful and friendly! The pool is heated but for it to be pleasant you must swim, otherwise it is a little cold. The jacuzzi was out of order. We...

The young hotel staff and dated facilities created a jarring contrast, yet the minimalist, front-desk-less design and artistic hallways felt harmonious. The location was excellent. It was amusing to find a modern tablet controlling the room's lights and curtains in an older hotel. However, the cleanliness definitely needs improvement; there was a black thread in the bathrobe, making me wonder if it...
I had to change the dates for a room I booked for Chinese New Year, as my plans changed. Big thanks to the Trip.com customer service for helping coordinate with the hotel. Upon check-in, I met Agnes, whose professionalism and attentiveness made me feel so welcome. She handled both check-in and check-out swiftly and efficiently – truly professional. However, when we first arrived, the concierge was...
The location is great, right downstairs from Xintiandi. The staff were enthusiastic and the check-in experience was very good. The only minor issue is that the parking lot is a bit tricky to find every time, but considering the Xintiandi area, it's understandable.
Service: Fiona was incredibly nice. She explained everything thoroughly during check-in, patiently listened to our requests, and even gave us two complimentary breakfasts. Full marks for her excellent service! Environment: The hotel is located near Xintiandi, surrounded by numerous shopping centers, and offers convenient transportation. Hygiene: The hotel room was clean, indicating diligent housekeeping...
Great location. Close to everything. Friendly staff. Great amenities. Only downside is the beds I. The double-bed rooms are the smaller double sized in stead of queen size
This hotel truly offers great value for money! Fiona at the front desk was very enthusiastic and helpful, the room was clean and tidy, and the facilities were complete. The price was also very reasonable. Both check-in and check-out were convenient, and the staff were friendly, making me feel at home during my travels. If I come back to this area again, I will definitely choose this hotel. I highly...
