Arrived at noon for check-in, and the front desk staff were incredibly patient and welcoming. They even upgraded my room, which offered expansive views of the golf course. The room itself was spacious, and I really appreciated the separate shower and toilet, which was very convenient. I'm definitely keeping this place in mind for future stays—I'll choose it again next time!

The location of Mercure Hongqiao Central is incredibly convenient, right next to a major transport hub, making it super easy to catch high-speed trains or flights. The hotel's decor is elegant and stylish throughout, and the rooms are clean and tidy. The bedding is very comfortable, and the soundproofing is also good. Check-in at the front desk was fast, and the service was friendly. The breakfast offers a rich variety of options and tastes great. Plus, there are fitness facilities and self-service laundry, which makes it perfect for business travelers. Highly recommended!

Finding a hotel this time around took ages, and a lot of the reviews I saw weren't great, including other Huazhu hotels. Even though this place had decent reviews and a friend recommended it, I was still a bit nervous before checking in.

**Environment:** The hotel entrance felt a little cramped, but once inside, it instantly felt comfortable. The light, minimalist style is exactly what I like. The room layout was also very pleasant; the lighting and space were both great.

**Facilities:** The room had a coffee machine ☕ which was very convenient, and a fridge (with soft drinks inside). The lobby also had water brewed by the hotel itself.

**Hygiene:** Very clean! This was my biggest concern, and I gave it a thorough look-over as soon as I entered.

**Service:** I was genuinely impressed with the service this time. Staff members would actively approach and ask if I needed anything if we made eye contact, always with a smile. The cleaning lady even politely greeted me with a 'Good morning' as I left my room and asked, 'May I clean the room now?'

Just a minor point: the front desk staff said the room they arranged had a better view (facing the golf course), but all I saw was a messy rooftop 🤣. However, it was quiet, which was a plus and didn't affect my overall satisfaction.

**Food:** The breakfast selection was quite comprehensive, covering Chinese and Western styles, coarse grains, fine noodles, and fruits. If you're not looking for steak for breakfast, it's perfectly adequate for a regular meal (didn't get a full photo, but there's also a coffee machine and toaster 🍞).

So happy can stay here for 3 night while we on holidays at Shanghai, our room is upgrading to the larger room, and many amenities that they gave to us, the breakfast is delicious and many variation, maybe next time we will stay at this hotel again

Great hotel experience! The room was clean and tidy with no strange odors. The bedding was soft, ensuring a good night's sleep, and the ventilation was excellent. The front desk service was enthusiastic, and the breakfast was plentiful. I'll choose Mercure again next time!

I've stayed in many hotels for business trips and vacations, and most of them deserve five-star ratings, especially Mercure. This time, I came to Mercure Hongqiao Central with five-star expectations. Although there were fruit flies in the room and the shower drain smelled, I dealt with them myself and it didn't really affect my mood. That is, until I found out one of the elevators was broken. Waiting for the elevator felt like the morning rush hour in an office building during the week, and I even had to contend with the food delivery robots for space (the elevator still wasn't fixed after two days). Plus, I can't think of any high-rise hotel that only has two elevators. Additionally, I don't know if it's because my Ctrip membership level isn't high enough, but my request for a late checkout at 4 PM was told it would be charged. When I was a Huazhu Platinum member, it was never charged (in fact, there are only a few times a year I need to extend to 4 PM). They said I needed to re-activate my room card at the front desk after 12 PM, but after I had it swiped at the front desk, (and waited for the elevator for a long time) I still couldn't open the room door upstairs... My good impression was slowly worn away. Overall, this experience barely deserves three stars (I wouldn't have even remembered it if the hotel hadn't called afterward asking for a good review).

Objectively, the view from the west-facing room was quite good. The golf course diagonally opposite was unobstructed, and there were no tall buildings opposite, so I wasn't afraid to leave the curtains open at night. I could also see planes taking off and landing at Hongqiao Airport. The location was also decent, with many dining options nearby, though it's quite far from the subway station.
