Stayed at the Swissotel many times while traveling to Shanghai . Excellent location in the middle of JingAn. Lots of good restaurants nearby. Hotel has been around for years but overall maintained good condition. The room is reasonably spacious for 2- sufficient walking and luggage space.
Didn’t use any facilities.
Easy access hotel to these Michelin restaurant and best cafe. Walking distance. Shopping and restaurants opp hotel. Metro next door.
The hotel was in a very good location near Jing’an temple, but a little old and outdated compared to other hotels around the area. However, overall they are good for the money.
The location is superb, convenient for everything. The room was cleaned meticulously every day, and the front desk staff were polite and helpful. The doormen were also very attentive and tried their best. Many thanks. The only thing that truly surprised me was how poor the breakfast was for a 5-star hotel. I'm not even talking about the variety of food, but rather the quality of the ingredients themselves...
The location is unbeatable—super convenient and right in the heart of everything. The rooms here are impressively spacious and spotlessly clean, providing a perfect retreat after a day of exploring.
The room was very satisfying. The lobby had a subtle and pleasant scent, and the breakfast was abundant.

I stayed at the Garden Hotel again during the May Golden Week holiday to watch the Longines Global Champions Tour in Shanghai.
My first stay at the Garden Hotel was 30 years ago. The marble in the lobby, the Rose restaurant, and the small mosaic tiles in the corridors still maintain their grand and elegant style. That's why I always come back to this familiar place whenever I return to China.
It...
This is an established five-star hotel, and overall, everything is still great. The breakfast is decent, with a slight Japanese influence. The location is excellent, and you can get a late check-out, plus parking is free. However, the afternoon tea at the cafe was a bit disappointing.
It's a bit like a Japanese Okura Hotel – classic but very clean. The location is super convenient, and it offers great value for money. The cakes and black tea at the lobby bar were delicious, and the public areas are beautiful and very well-maintained.
The room was really clean, you wouldn't even guess it's an old building. The environment was also great, and I even saw two weddings!
[Great review! One of my top hotel choices when visiting Shanghai]
My stay here was once again fantastic. First, let's talk about the location: the hotel is very close to the subway station, making it incredibly convenient for getting around. For anyone visiting Shanghai, it's definitely a preferred option.
I especially want to commend the airport transfer service. Both my arrival and departure were...
This is a wonderful place! The location is perfect. It’s close to the metro. Quiet streets. There’s a lovely garden. The staff are very caring, breakfast is excellent. I especially recommend the mochi — I’ve attached a photo, be sure to try it!

the location and staff helpfulness is why i chose Crown again.
the nearby restaurants, cafe and supermarkets and centre to other spots is so convenient
Renovation maybe tough for the management, though the wooden interior material does leave the impression of Time Passing / a bit old to visitors.
however, weight down the pros and cons, i still choose it
The Shanghai Film Theme Hotel upgraded us to the 'Havoc in Heaven' suite, which was full of childhood memories! It's very close to Columbia Circle and Wukang Road, making it super convenient for exploring. Plus, it's only 600 meters from the subway station, so the location is great.
Fantastic hotel! It's close to the subway, and I was so pleasantly surprised to find out it's a movie-themed hotel. From the front desk to the elevators and even the room corridors, everything has a cool movie theme. The room was well-proportioned, and the service was professional and thoughtful. Plus, it's super close to Wukang Road, just a 5-minute walk.
The hotel facilities are a bit old, but very clean. The mattress has a massage function, and the room is well soundproofed. There are plenty of dining options nearby, including many popular internet-famous eateries. Transportation is convenient, with a subway station close by.
Absolutely loved the massage bed! Coming back from Disneyland on the Line 11 metro, it was so relaxing and comfortable to lie down on it. The metro access is super convenient. I'll definitely stay here again next time.
Crowne Plaza, an IHG brand, has always been my top choice when traveling. This time, the Crowne Plaza Galaxy in Shanghai, near Wukang Road, offered excellent value for money. Although the hotel is a bit older, it's very well-maintained, and the service feels truly homely. The breakfast, in particular, was absolutely delicious; you can tell the chefs put their heart into preparing the food. I'll definitely...

The hotel has a fantastic environment and offers a great stay. The room was clean, hygienic, and cozily decorated. The floor-to-ceiling windows provided a beautiful and relaxing view. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit Shanghai.
The hotel's location is super convenient for getting around, with multiple subway and bus lines nearby. It's easy to go anywhere from here. The rooms are comfortable, and as a Marriott property, the quality is guaranteed.
Service is good, only one point, they dont allow wearing of in room slippers to breakfast area..? Why so.?
The hotel's location is super convenient, it's clean and hygienic, and the service is very professional. I'd also recommend the breakfast buffet; it has a great variety, especially the noodle soup I had for three days straight – so many toppings, I never got tired of it. It's very close to the subway station and easy to find. It's just two stops on foot to the Shanghai Natural History Museum, which...

The room was very clean and the hotel service was excellent. For a hotel in Shanghai, it offers great value for money. The floor design is quite unique and one-of-a-kind for a hotel, and the breakfast was also good.
Booked a king-size bed room with a friend. It's super convenient to get here from Puxi, and Century Link is right next door. The hotel's style is fantastic – you can take great photos anywhere. The pool and gym are also easily accessible, making it perfect for an occasional staycation!
Highly recommend the Premium room with club lounge access, it provides great value for money if you have enough time to try the:

Great location! However, aside from the lobby, the hotel's facilities are quite old. The rooms are clean and tidy, service is prompt, and the staff are courteous. That said, the service quality among front desk staff varies. The male receptionist during check-in was serious-faced throughout, offered no smiles or greetings, while the concierge was even worse! The male receptionist during check-out was...
The room layout was reasonable, but the shower was a bit small. Also, the soundproofing in the room wasn't great; I could hear noise from the room next door. However, the cleanliness, environment, and service were all excellent! 👍
Got an upgrade to a bigger room, which was decent. The toilet had been upgraded to a smart one, which wasn't the case a few years ago. The hotel also equipped itself with delivery robots, so you don't have to go downstairs to pick up your takeout – super convenient! The atrium on the first floor of this hotel has a nice ambiance, perfect for meetings. The only downside was that the front desk staff were cold and lacked a service mindset during check-in.
I regularly stay at the Himalaya for trade shows, and Vicky is always so enthusiastic and helps me out with so many things. I'll definitely come back and find you again for the next show!

The overall experience staying at Sheraton Shanghai Waigaoqiao Hotel was acceptable.
Their room service is available 24 hours, and you can order food by calling their hotline anytime. However, please note that the menu prices are on the higher side. One simple main course can cost almost twice as much as ordering through ******* food delivery.
There are also 2–3 restaurants within the building itself...
This was my second stay, and once again, the service was very responsive. They were very accommodating, especially since we were staying for an exam, and I really appreciate that. My child also slept very well; the room was quiet. I'd definitely consider staying here again if needed.
Great for short business trips, with a good environment, fresh air, and excellent service. The buffet is decent too. It's also relatively quiet and not overly bustling. Definitely recommend it. Value for money is average.

Facilities: Comprehensive. A little dated, but everything worked perfectly.
Cleanliness: Could be better, especially the detailed cleaning needs more attention.
Environment: The ambiance is great, suitable for young people or families with children.
Service: The front desk staff were thoughtful and helpful, and they can receive packages for you.
They provided an incredible amount of snacks and drinks...
Room: We were given a suite this time, and the space was wonderfully spacious.
Cleanliness: Spotless and meticulously maintained.
Ambiance: Truly luxurious, with a grand and upscale feel.
Service: The staff were incredibly warm and attentive, always ready to answer questions and fulfill requests. Excellent!
Celebrated my birthday here with friends, and the hotel went above and beyond! They thoughtfully prepared a personalized light-up sign and a birthday cake. Not to mention, the themed room was packed with snacks! It was absolutely fantastic! The Wang Wang snacks were such a blast from the past, and at over twenty years old, it felt like being a happy kid again. What an unforgettable birthday!

The room was clean and tidy, and the service was excellent. Highly recommend!
The lady at the front desk was very nice. I'm here on a business trip.
Great atmosphere and excellent service.
sorry the room thingy are old already, and when i checked in there are a lot of someone’s hair and dust. And also the heater is a little bit weird, it wasnt heated the room below my room (i booked the room with the two floors (loft) btw). so the room above was super hot but the below it was super cold (because it was winter)
Location: Great location, very close to the subway station.
Facilities: The room was old and small. The air conditioning was terrible, blowing dry, cold air. The pillows and mattress were very uncomfortable. The bathroom was tiny, and the water pressure was low.
Service: Housekeeping was not prompt.
The hotel is very close to the subway station, which is convenient for getting around. However, the bathroom is super tiny; you can barely turn around in it. Also, the window in the room doesn't close properly and is broken, so it's like sleeping with the window open all night. Since it's right next to a busy road, the noise was really loud!

Huge thanks to the front desk for their incredibly attentive service. They were so kind and polite, with a professional touch in every detail that really made me feel welcome and looked after. The hotel is located in the Hongqiao business district, surrounded by malls and great food, and it's super close to Hongqiao Station. Five-star recommendation!
An excellent hotel! I came back after a year, and Joy's service was as warm and attentive as ever. I loved the room she arranged for me. It was very clean and well-equipped! This is always my top choice when I visit Shanghai!
