Holiday Inn SHANGHAI PUDONG by IHG, Shanghai1 / 25

Shanghai, No. 899 Dongfang Road, Pudong New Area (45 min from centre) 🧭 Map
The room's location is excellent, being close to both the Shanghai Science and Technology Museum and the Bund. Overall, it felt clean and tidy with complete facilities, though some were a bit outdated. The breakfast was plentiful with many options. It offers good value for money.
The hotel's location is good and offers great value for money. Check-in at the front desk was a bit slow, but the staff were very friendly and gave us a free upgrade to a room that was pre-reserved. The room felt a bit old, but the facilities were well-maintained. However, the windows were sealed, and the central air conditioning wasn't on during the May Day holiday! The room was very hot. We called...
Very satisfied with my stay here. The service was excellent, and the room was very clean with good facilities. For the same price, it's significantly better than hotels in Pudong. Plus, it's super convenient for getting around.
This hotel was incredibly convenient, just 200 meters from the company where my conference was held! The environment was also very pleasant. The hotel breakfast was excellent, offering both Chinese and Western options! I'll definitely book this hotel again next time.
The overall experience exceeded my expectations. The environment was quiet and elegant, and the hygiene was excellent. ALAN at the front desk provided thoughtful and meticulous service, which made me feel very relaxed. It was a very satisfying stay.
Overall, it was a great stay! The lobby was elegant and clean, and the guest rooms were spotless with a complete set of toiletries and consistently strong hot water. The staff were patient and attentive throughout, especially Richard, who was warm, thoughtful, and always ready to help. Breakfast was nutritious and varied, with dozens of dishes, including a good balance of meat and vegetables, all fresh...

Shanghai, 718 Ning Xia Road, Puxi (8 km from centre) 🧭 Map
I stayed at the Grand Hyatt the night before going to Universal Studios, and checked in a bit late, which caused a slight delay. The hygiene was decent, but the makeup mirror in the bathroom was really inconvenient – it was too low and kept sliding down, clearly broken. The biggest issue, though, was that parking wasn't complimentary.
The pool is a standard 25-meter length and the water quality is clean.
Super convenient location! The hotel is right across the street from the subway station, and it's connected to Global Harbor, which makes shopping a breeze. The breakfast buffet is amazing too – lots of variety, fresh ingredients, and everything tastes great! The service is excellent, and our room was quiet and spotless. Absolutely perfect!
The room was spacious, and the bedding was soft and comfortable. We had a fantastic view of the Twin Towers, and the night view was absolutely stunning! The complimentary afternoon tea was a lovely touch. Getting to the airport and shopping malls was quick and easy thanks to the convenient transportation, and being right next to Global Harbor Mall was a huge plus! We had a great experience overall
Great location, excellent room facilities, and really good value for money!
The service was excellent, and the room was very clean and quiet. The mattress was incredibly comfortable! Plus, the view from the window was beautiful.

Unexpectedly good! The location, ambiance, and service were all perfect. I was here for SHDP, and it's only a 300-meter walk to the exhibition center, which is super convenient. There's also a subway station right outside. If you're attending an exhibition, staying here is incredibly convenient, and the price is super nice too!
The room was incredibly comfortable, with great views and a fantastic atmosphere. It was very spacious too, definitely recommend it! The price was quite reasonable, and the service was excellent. Plus, it's super convenient – Joy City is right across the street and the subway station is just downstairs!
I highly recommend the Hualuxe Hotel Shanghai Changfeng if you're visiting Shanghai! The location is super convenient, close to Changfeng Park Station on Line 15, and it's an easy walk to Joy City and Changfeng Park. The lobby features a new Chinese-style design that's elegant and grand. The rooms are spacious and bright with excellent soundproofing, and the bedding is soft and comfortable. The panoramic...
The hotel was clean and tidy, and the transportation was convenient, very close to the subway station. The butler, Gavin, communicated with us in advance, upgraded our room type, prepared amenities for the children, and also provided welcome fruits.
The front desk service was very warm and welcoming, and I had a comfortable stay. My room faced Changfeng Park, offering a lovely lake view, and in the distance, I could see the Lujiazui 'Three-Piece Suit' (iconic skyscrapers). The room was equipped with a Dyson hairdryer and a bathtub 🛁. The bedding was comfortable, and the location is super convenient, right by Changfeng Park and Joy City. Parking...
The lobby is grand and impressive, with giant leaf chandeliers that are truly artistic. The guest rooms are cozy and elegant, and the bedding is comfortable. The service is meticulous and attentive, and the breakfast is rich and varied. The location is excellent; I'll choose this place again next time.

The accommodation was good, and the breakfast was excellent. We booked two rooms, and while the wait for the rooms to be ready for check-in was a bit long, they ended up upgrading one of them and placing both rooms on the same floor, which was a nice touch. The hotel facilities are a bit dated, though, and it's a bit of a walk from the subway station.
I booked a twin room, and it was spacious enough for two adults and one child traveling together. While some say the facilities are old, the bathroom has actually been renovated. The lighting is bright, and there's a vanity stool. The shower is a bit small but acceptable. The breakfast selection isn't huge, but the food is quite good. It would be even better if they offered some local Shanghai specialties...
I was very satisfied with my stay this time. The front desk staff, especially Xiao Lou, was enthusiastic and attentive, patiently assisting me with any questions I had, and was always friendly and professional. The housekeeping staff was meticulous and thorough, paying close attention to details. I'd especially like to commend Managers Li and Lucy from the floor staff for their thoughtful and heartwarming...
Everything about the room was great. As an older five-star hotel, the materials used are excellent, and I especially loved the chair – it was so comfortable. It would be even better if the carpet could be removed!
An older hotel with dated facilities, it definitely has that old-money vibe. It's now under Marriott, though I heard it's been downgraded. The location is super convenient with Century Avenue and the metro station nearby.
The hotel service was excellent. The front desk staff were very friendly, and the restaurant staff were highly professional. The hotel also has a swimming pool, which is great for families with kids. Plus, the location is really convenient.

The two-bedroom connecting room at Marriott is perfect for family trips. There's plenty of space, giving each family member their own comfortable bed, and the connecting passage allows for easy interaction. The hotel is located near Shanghai Circus World, about 800 meters from Circus World Metro Station. Across from the hotel is Daning Park, and there are high-end residential buildings under construction in the surrounding area. Some road sections are uneven, so please be careful when getting around.

The Shanghai Marriott Hotel Parkview boasts an excellent location with convenient transportation, right across the street from the park. The hotel lobby is grand and impressive. Shanghai Marriott Hotel Kangqiao, Shanghai1 / 30

Shanghai, No 4499 Kang Xin Highway, Pudong (17 km from centre) 🧭 Map
The breakfast selection was quite generous, and the hotel environment was what you'd expect. Perhaps due to the season, there was a slight musty smell in the hallway on our floor. It's very close to both the company I was visiting for work and Disneyland. As an annual pass holder, I even managed to squeeze in a quick visit to Disneyland in the evening!
Check-in was super fast, no waiting in line. The room was spotless, and the bedding was soft and comfortable, so I slept really well. The soundproofing was good too; I wasn't disturbed by any noise at night. Overall, the experience was better than I expected.
I chose this hotel specifically to see the Disney 10th-anniversary celebration. It's quite convenient to get to Disney, and you can even buy Disney tickets here. It's also a very international hotel; lots of foreign families with kids stay here. The xiaolongbao (soup dumplings) for breakfast are delicious, I'd even say incredibly delicious! Overall, it's a good stay.
Facilities: The decor is pretty good, as expected from a star-rated hotel. Hygiene: Very clean. Environment: The room I booked wasn't facing the street, so it was very quiet. Service: The check-in staff and concierge were all very friendly and polite, definitely a thumbs up! 👍 Disney Resort Shuttle Service: Many shuttles available, super convenient. Free parking in the hotel's underground garage for...
I recently stayed at the Marriott Hotel Kangqiao, near the Disneyland Resort. An older, established hotel, showing its age a bit, but well-maintained and quite clean. The location is excellent, right on Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street, making it super convenient for dining, shopping, and entertainment. Service is decent, and the breakfast spread is quite good.
Overall, my experience was super satisfying! The environment was quiet and not noisy, and the facilities were complete and brand new. The toiletries were of very good quality. The staff were incredibly friendly, and check-in and check-out were very fast. It was a comfortable and reassuring stay, highly recommended~
This hotel is like a time capsule from the 90s. The carpets, decor, colours, everything has been meticulously maintained over the years. It feels like a nostalgic trip back to a bygone era in Shanghai's biggest boom period. Hotel staff are efficient and friendly. The beds/sheets were nice and the rooms very extremely clean. Within 2 minutes of walking you can step into the "old" Shanghai.
Great location , great service and good value for money, we are appreciated the little surprise the hotel provided including Bear toy, Wine. We will definitely come back again. Only 10 mins to the bun.
Stayed here for 6 nights. Basically, it was like being right in the middle of a happening town! Love that there's delicious halal food nearby, beside Apple store (Pinhuiwei Muslim Northwestern Chinese)! The Bund is nearby, Adidas flagstore is there, Starbucks everywhere. Love the vibe here! This was my second time staying at this hotel for a trip to Disneyland. The lovely front desk staff upgraded our room, but there was a minor issue with the first one. They quickly helped us switch to another room and even gave a small gift to my child.
Cleanliness: A bit disappointing. When I came back on the second day, I noticed the crumbs from the fried skewers I ate the night before were still on the table. Service: The service was very good. Environment: I wouldn't recommend staying on the fifth floor; there's a swimming pool there.
The hotel has a lovely ambiance, friendly service, and a great breakfast spread. There are multiple shuttle buses to Disney every day, and it's also very close to the subway. It's our go-to hotel whenever we take the kids to Disney.
Located right next to Disneyland, the complimentary shuttle service to and from the airport, train station, Disneyland, and the Bund is incredibly convenient. The hygiene and service were excellent! They even gave my child two free breakfasts, which was a very kind gesture. The breakfast was plentiful and the view from the window was unique. Plus, it's really close to all the attractions.
First off, the service was excellent! The front desk lady (I think her name was Ashin) was really enthusiastic and professional. I highly recommend the Bund River View room! The view is absolutely stunning!! Although it's a bit older, it's very clean. And the fried dumplings at breakfast were delicious!!! The breakfast overall had a Western focus.
The room was a bit small, and changing elevators was a bit inconvenient. However, the afternoon tea was exquisite, and the view was absolutely stunning. It was quite crowded during the Spring Festival, and the check-in process could definitely be faster.
The facilities are really well-maintained. If you're looking to avoid the crowded Bund, this place is an excellent choice. The views are superb, and getting around is very convenient. The service is top-notch; they're attentive to guest needs but also maintain a respectful distance, without being intrusive. I'm very satisfied.
Stayed at the Ritz-Carlton Pudong for a night during the Chinese New Year. Even though I usually prefer newer hotels, the Ritz's unique charm convinced me. The hotel's location is great, right on Nanjing Road, which was perfect for taking the kids out to play. I won't even mention the 60 yuan parking fee we had to pay ourselves, but the cleanliness truly doesn't meet the standards of a state-owned four-star hotel. There were urine stains on the toilet that weren't even wiped clean – please see the pictures. The second one is after I tried to clean it...
The room was decent, and having a desk was very convenient for my business trip. Its central location made it easy to get around, and the area was bustling at night. The room amenities were complete, and the service was friendly. Everything was just fine.
The hotel is located at a superb spot whereby it’s just minutes walk away from the famous Nanjing Road and if you are adventurous enough walkable all the way to The Bund! There’s also lots of eateries around and you can never go hungry here. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful especially towards non-chinese speaking tourists like me 😂. The interior though a little dated, but not a deal breaker...
The bathroom amenities were quite stingy. The 27ml shower gel was just enough for one person, let alone a couple or someone with a child. And 27ml of shampoo isn't even enough for long hair, though it might be okay for short hair. It really doesn't match the price of the room. The staff in the lobby were always rushing around and almost bumped into people; generally, they didn't even greet guests....
Nice and good service. Room is quite tidy and clean.
The room was pretty quiet and very close to the pedestrian street, with lots of unique restaurants just behind it.

It's really convenient to stay in Shanghai. The hotel has its own parking lot with plenty of spaces, and there are even charging stations, which is great for self-driving tours! The subway station is only 300 meters from the hotel, making it super easy to get to the city center.
The room's location is excellent, with plenty of dining options nearby. It's about a 5-minute walk to the subway station. I had a really enjoyable trip. For my return journey, I took Metro Line 15 directly to Pudong Airport, and the Line 15 station is also conveniently close to the hotel.
I came for an exhibition at the cross-border procurement center, and the location is excellent. It's about a 10-15 minute walk to the exhibition hall, and there are plenty of food options nearby, as well as the Joy City mall. The service was also good. The hotel isn't brand new, but it's well-maintained and clean.
The room itself is really good, and it's quiet most of the time, except when people are talking right outside the door. The small desk is super handy, and they even provide an ethernet cable. It's really close to East China Normal University, only a 10-minute walk to the engineering building.
The room and bedding was good. Clean and comfortable.
I booked a king-sized room through Trip.com for around 200 yuan, which was a fantastic deal. The lobby was spacious, bright, clean, and well-maintained. For breakfast, there was a wide variety of options including Western, Chinese, local specialties, and vegetarian dishes. Everything tasted great too! Overall, it was a very comfortable stay!!
I've stayed in many five-star hotels, and this one is generally very good. There's a huge ship right at the hotel entrance, and the lobby looks very grand. The front desk staff were also very friendly. The room was clean, tidy, and comfortable. I booked this hotel through a group deal I saw online, and it definitely didn't disappoint – I just went for it without hesitation and it was a great choice
I was very satisfied with my last stay, so I chose this place again. Haha, is it my good luck that they upgraded me to a suite? The room is amazing! This time I also booked the executive lounge access. The food isn't great, but the drinks definitely live up to the name 'lounge,' especially finding Baileys Irish Cream. Thumbs up! 👍🏻
The self-service breakfast was good. I stayed for two nights, and the young man at the front desk, employee number 8, was very polite. Over the past few days, whether it was the cleaning staff or the check-in personnel, the overall experience has been excellent.
The front desk service was excellent during check-in, and the room was quite good too. The hotel definitely still maintains its old five-star standards. However, I woke up at 1 AM and found that the spotlight in the bathroom was leaking water, forming a puddle on the floor. That was a pretty frightening experience.

My second stay here. The location is great, right above Hopson One, making dining and getting around very convenient.
Facilities: The elevator design is terrible; the button numbers are hard to see. Breakfast is very poor and needs improvement. There's no waiting area on the 6th-floor lobby for check-in, which is a major drawback and really needs to be addressed. Thirdly, it's the modern age, why are they still using bathtubs? They're inconvenient, impractical, and unsafe. Fourthly, the charged services are completely out of line with the hotel's brand. The young hotel staff and dated facilities created a jarring contrast, yet the minimalist, front-desk-less design and artistic hallways felt harmonious. The location was excellent. It was amusing to find a modern tablet controlling the room's lights and curtains in an older hotel. However, the cleanliness definitely needs improvement; there was a black thread in the bathrobe, making me wonder if it...
I had to change the dates for a room I booked for Chinese New Year, as my plans changed. Big thanks to the Trip.com customer service for helping coordinate with the hotel. Upon check-in, I met Agnes, whose professionalism and attentiveness made me feel so welcome. She handled both check-in and check-out swiftly and efficiently – truly professional. However, when we first arrived, the concierge was...
The location is great, right downstairs from Xintiandi. The staff were enthusiastic and the check-in experience was very good. The only minor issue is that the parking lot is a bit tricky to find every time, but considering the Xintiandi area, it's understandable.
Service: Fiona was incredibly nice. She explained everything thoroughly during check-in, patiently listened to our requests, and even gave us two complimentary breakfasts. Full marks for her excellent service! Environment: The hotel is located near Xintiandi, surrounded by numerous shopping centers, and offers convenient transportation. Hygiene: The hotel room was clean, indicating diligent housekeeping...
Great location. Close to everything. Friendly staff. Great amenities. Only downside is the beds I. The double-bed rooms are the smaller double sized in stead of queen size
This hotel truly offers great value for money! Fiona at the front desk was very enthusiastic and helpful, the room was clean and tidy, and the facilities were complete. The price was also very reasonable. Both check-in and check-out were convenient, and the staff were friendly, making me feel at home during my travels. If I come back to this area again, I will definitely choose this hotel. I highly...

Shanghai, 838 Dong Fang Road, Pudong New District (45 min from centre) 🧭 Map
Clean and hygienic, and the breakfast was good. It's very close to the subway station and all the major attractions. The service was excellent, and it offers great value for money. 👍 Definitely recommend it. There are also plenty of places to eat nearby, and the staff were very friendly. For the price in Shanghai, this is a really good option. Highly recommend staying here.
The room had good soundproofing, and the location in Pudong is excellent. The service was also great, and they even upgraded my room. I'll definitely stay here again. Hope you maintain your standards!
This older 4-star hotel offers great value for money, especially with points redemption and a complimentary member breakfast. The price was fantastic. I booked it primarily because I wanted to visit the Shanghai Science and Technology Museum, and I remembered this hotel being a good option in the area. It's very close to Century Avenue station. You just cross the street to Century Link mall, walk through...
The hotel's overall environment is great! It's located right in the city center, which makes it super convenient for getting around to all the attractions. There's a bus stop right outside the door and the subway station is also very close. I'd definitely choose to stay here again if I'm ever back in the area!
Seriously blown away by this hotel! The subway is super convenient, and there's a mall right across the street. For this price in Shanghai, the environment is absolutely fantastic. Even though it's an older star-rated hotel, it's really well-maintained. My only minor complaint is that the breakfast was a bit uninspired.
The hotel is really easy to find, right opposite Century Link Plaza, and the transportation is very convenient. The breakfast selection is also quite good. Honestly, the front desk staff, especially the ladies, provided exceptional service – super nice! Overall, it was a pretty good stay!

Xijiao State Guest Hotel, Shanghai1 / 30

Shanghai, No. 1921 Hongqiao Road (12 km from centre) 🧭 Map
Atmosphere: The hotel's greenery is absolutely beautiful. The best part about staying here is definitely the comfort of being surrounded by nature. Service: It was a bit frustrating that check-in wasn't until around 3:30 PM on a weekday. There were very few seats in the lobby for guests waiting, maybe only about ten, with the rest being in paid areas. We were told we could go to the second floor,...
This hotel is indeed a gem tucked amidst the skyscrapers in Shanghai. It is a State Guesthouse that is open to the public for booking only when there are no visiting dignitaries. The experience is indeed a privilege. They service staff there are a whole new level; they are definitely part of the Foreign Service not just the usual hotel staff.
Garden Hotel, comfortable and pleasant. It was quiet both day and night, so I had a great rest. Parking was convenient, and breakfast was abundant. The decor was unique, with copper strips embedded in the doors and windows of the rooms, lobby, and other areas, giving it an elegant and luxurious feel. Staying at Xijiao Hotel in Shanghai left a wonderful impression.
We had a wonderful three-night stay. The hotel is incredibly well-maintained, and you can tell a lot of care goes into running it. The lush greenery, vibrant flowers, manicured lawns, peacocks, and swans create a beautiful, spring-like atmosphere that truly brightens your day as you wander around. The shuttle service was quick and convenient. My parents were so happy they're still talking about it...
The environment is fantastic, with a very upscale and well-maintained garden. However, as the hotel is open to the public, it can get quite crowded, so privacy isn't the best. The room size isn't huge, but it's very luxurious and clean. The bed and slippers were incredibly comfortable, allowing me to get a great night's sleep. Breakfast was also pretty good. You can make your own freshly squeezed...
Compared to Dongjiao, it's a bit older. Also, ordering takeout isn't very convenient here. However, the environment is great, the air is fresh, and it's quiet and comfortable for a stay, making it suitable for older guests seeking a peaceful and relaxing retreat.
