the location and staff helpfulness is why i chose Crown again.
the nearby restaurants, cafe and supermarkets and centre to other spots is so convenient

Renovation maybe tough for the management, though the wooden interior material does leave the impression of Time Passing / a bit old to visitors.

however, weight down the pros and cons, i still choose it

The Shanghai Film Theme Hotel upgraded us to the 'Havoc in Heaven' suite, which was full of childhood memories! It's very close to Columbia Circle and Wukang Road, making it super convenient for exploring. Plus, it's only 600 meters from the subway station, so the location is great.

Fantastic hotel! It's close to the subway, and I was so pleasantly surprised to find out it's a movie-themed hotel. From the front desk to the elevators and even the room corridors, everything has a cool movie theme. The room was well-proportioned, and the service was professional and thoughtful. Plus, it's super close to Wukang Road, just a 5-minute walk.

The hotel facilities are a bit old, but very clean. The mattress has a massage function, and the room is well soundproofed. There are plenty of dining options nearby, including many popular internet-famous eateries. Transportation is convenient, with a subway station close by.

Absolutely loved the massage bed! Coming back from Disneyland on the Line 11 metro, it was so relaxing and comfortable to lie down on it. The metro access is super convenient. I'll definitely stay here again next time.

Crowne Plaza, an IHG brand, has always been my top choice when traveling. This time, the Crowne Plaza Galaxy in Shanghai, near Wukang Road, offered excellent value for money. Although the hotel is a bit older, it's very well-maintained, and the service feels truly homely. The breakfast, in particular, was absolutely delicious; you can tell the chefs put their heart into preparing the food. I'll definitely choose this hotel again if I have the chance, all for that breakfast! 😊

The room was great. Excellent value for money. Lots of good food options nearby, plus the huge Shanghai Film Art Center cinema. There are also two subway lines close by. It's right next to the prestigious Shanghai Jiao Tong University, offering a quiet stay despite being in a bustling area.

The environment is great, and while the room facilities are a bit old, they are very clean. The night view from the window is beautiful, making for a very comfortable stay. Room service is excellent and very responsive. The gentleman who checked us in was very handsome and polite—truly befitting a grand hotel! The breakfast selection is extensive, catering to different needs, and we saw many international guests. There are plenty of dining options nearby, which is very convenient.

The room is quite small, and the executive lounge is equally tiny, feeling just like a standard room. The only difference is the executive benefits, which allow you to dine at the restaurant for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. However, there's basically nothing worthwhile to eat, so the executive benefits aren't really useful.

I was served by Uncle Li during breakfast, who personally prepared authentic Shanghainese soy milk for me, which was delicious. The hotel parking lot is not in the same building; instead, there's a multi-story parking garage next door, which isn't very convenient.
