Shanghai, 1171 Dong Da Ming Road, Hong Kou District, 1171 (2 km from centre) 🧭 Map
Booked this hotel last minute for the May Day holiday, mainly because of the price. For just over 800 yuan, it included three breakfasts, and the location was great. I'd heard of this hotel a long time ago; it's a star-rated hotel from the reform and opening-up era, so I figured it might be a bit old now. Going in with low expectations definitely paid off! The transportation is convenient, and the...
This hotel, part of the COSCO Group, is a well-established property. The interior decor has a vintage feel, a bit dated but generally well-maintained and clean. All the facilities are in working order, and the air conditioning is powerful.
**Pros:** The location is a big plus. While the river view is mostly obstructed (you can barely catch a glimpse of the 'four-piece suit' through the gaps), there...
everything was great,i arrived there on my birthday and they provided a piece of a cheesecake, staff is friendly and there’s even a robot deliverer in the hotel, definitely would love to stay there again ❤️
The hotel was great! The room was clean and so spacious. We had such a lovely view from our room window. Great location, walking distance to the North Bund. Breakfast was delicious with a good spread. So well worth it. My friends and I had a great stay.
My child wanted to see Fair Road Wharf, so I booked a room for May Day. They upgraded our room type, which made our stay even more spacious, and the view from the window was also great. You can tell it's an established hotel; the service is very professional. The swimming pool is 1.5 meters deep throughout, so it's not very suitable for children who can't swim.
The room was spotless and tidy, and the bed was just right – not too soft, not too hard – ensuring a great night's sleep. The surrounding amenities are excellent, making it very convenient for getting around. The staff were warm and patient, and the facilities were well-maintained, clean, and reassuring. Overall, I had a very satisfying stay.

The Peace Hotel is an absolute classic, with a constant stream of people taking photos by the entrance. Stepping into the lobby, you're immediately struck by its impressive historical grandeur. The concierge manager in the lobby was excellent, proactively helping guests take pictures and even giving tips on the best spots and angles within the hotel for amazing shots – truly adding to the experience...
Excellent location, right by the Bund. It was Mother's Day, and I wanted to make it special for my mom. The service was fantastic! A big thank you to the lovely front desk lady who upgraded our room.
Came to Shanghai with my family specifically to experience the renowned Peace Hotel. The front desk kindly upgraded us to a connecting city-view family room. The breakfast was definitely good and we enjoyed it a lot. All the hotel services were excellent.
This nearly century-old building is a masterpiece by the British Jewish entrepreneur Victor Sassoon. Renamed the Peace Hotel in 1956, it largely retains its original charm. They offer two daily hotel history tours (free for guests, at 10 AM and 2 PM) if you want to delve deeper into its past. In the evenings, you can enjoy a performance by the famous Old Jazz Band at the Jazz Bar starting at 7 PM.
I chose the Peace Hotel for its history, prestige, location, and the vibrant Bund area. I was truly impressed by the meticulous service and attention to detail after checking in. This is what I consider a true five-star experience, far surpassing any Marriott property. From the quality of the breakfast and the training of the staff, to the turndown service, the placement of the bottled water, and the...
The location is excellent, the service is top-notch, and everything is spotlessly clean. I really love the Peace Hotel; they even provided a thoughtful welcome fruit basket. The jazz band in the bar was absolutely fantastic!

This hotel is right next to the elevated road, near Shanghai South Railway Station. Compared to other hotels in the area at the same price point, this one has the best facilities. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The transportation is convenient, and there are plenty of dining options nearby.
The hotel's location is excellent, with convenient transportation access. It's close to Shanghai South Railway Station, and the metro lines 1, 3, and 15 are all nearby. The facilities are comprehensive, and the service is warm and friendly.
I've actually stayed at Pullman hotels quite a few times in the past year, so I'm a familiar face. I did have one bad experience before: my travel companion had a fever and after ordering takeout, we asked the front desk staff to bring it up, explaining the situation, but they still refused. However, after some communication later on, they did rectify the issue.
Now, the overall service has also improved...
Great location with easy access to transportation and plenty of food options nearby. The hotel is on a high floor, so it's quiet. The shower pressure is fantastic, very comfortable. It's also super close to the Xujiahui shopping district, making it convenient to get anywhere.
Shanghai Hotel Stay Experience | Pullman Shanghai South
My child had a performance on the last day of the New Year in the ballroom at Pullman Shanghai South. Knowing traffic would be a nightmare that morning, we decided to check in a day early.
Upon arrival, the front desk already had our room ready. The service was excellent; they were incredibly accommodating, even providing earplugs when we asked...
We were celebrating a holiday with our family, and the front desk noticed we had seniors and children with us. They prioritized our check-in and arranged our rooms on the same floor. The service was excellent.

The hotel's location is great, right near Songhong Road metro station. I used Ctrip's free upgrade service and got upgraded to a deluxe king room. The mattress had just the right firmness, so I slept very comfortably. Also, the hotel parking is 7 yuan per hour, with a daily cap of 56 yuan. Hotel guests can get a 30 yuan discount.
Had a wonderful 1 night stay in this hotel. Will come back next time. Highly recommended.
The room was clean, tidy, and spacious, with a good-sized bed. The location was convenient, and the breakfast was delicious. Overall, it was a fantastic stay, and they even upgraded my room. Highly recommend!

The quality of service is excellent. First, the buffet breakfast is really nice with many choices that you can select. Second, we asked for the extension of checkout time that the front desk immediately entertains it.
The location is super convenient, right on Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street. We had two kids with us, and Cassie at the hotel was incredibly kind and upgraded us to a family room. She even added us on WeChat to recommend some local snacks nearby, so we didn't hesitate to extend our stay for another two days.
The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic, right on Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street, making it incredibly convenient for getting around and shopping. Clean, comfortable, and quiet. The only downside is the breakfast is too expensive, otherwise everything else is great! This hotel is a good option for business travelers or tourists. The location is also convenient, not far from the subway.
The hotel is relatively new, and overall, my stay was quite comfortable. The location is especially fantastic, right across from Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street. If it's your first time in Shanghai, staying here is an excellent choice. When checking in, the front desk staff was very patient and helpful in explaining the room types. It was great! The lady at the front desk was very kind. The hotel room had a classic decor, a bathtub, and a very comfortable sofa and table. All in all, it was excellent!

This hotel offers great value for money. It's nestled in a quiet spot yet conveniently located for getting around. The hotel environment is comfortable, with a large green space outside, complete with a pond, a pavilion, and surrounded by lush greenery. I was assigned a corner room, which was quite spacious. Overall, I'm very satisfied.
A friend recommended this place, and I can see why! The location, ambiance, and service are all top-notch. Breakfast was excellent, and the room was fully equipped. As an older, high-end hotel, the facilities are a bit dated, but everything else was great. It's also super convenient to walk around and explore the area.
Whenever I return to China, I always stay at the Hengshan Garden Hotel (Executive Building) for a few days. Facilities: It has everything one would expect, though there was a broken lamp that probably wasn't reported for repair in time.

The hotel is beautiful and the service is good. The price was higher than expected, but overall it was a decent stay. The only drawback is that the surrounding amenities are incomplete; you have to walk quite a distance to find dining options beyond high-end clubs.
We chose this castle-style hotel for our anniversary. It looked grand and comfortable even on the platform. After booking, I specifically asked the hotel to help decorate the room. Attended an exhibition, and it was quite good. The room was large and comfortable, and the location was convenient for taxis. The staff were enthusiastic, and the hotel facilities were relatively comprehensive.
The breakfast was plentiful and the room was comfortable. Even though the hotel is a bit old, it's very well maintained. A special shout-out to the housekeeping staff on the 12th floor for their warm and patient service! I'll definitely be back next month.
I brought my parents here for a change of scenery during the May Day holiday. The hotel is right next to a residential area, and I really liked that the room was quite spacious and even had a balcony! You need to confirm with the staff if you want to open the balcony door. The decor features a lot of marble, which must have been quite luxurious back in the day, but it definitely shows its age now....

Breakfast was really mediocre. The pool is open to the public, so it was crowded and small. The photo was taken during mealtime, when most people had already left.
Great location. Perfect as a base for doing day activities. Great stay!
What kind of bewildering design puts toiletries outside the shower curtain? Also, I'm not sure if it's due to old facilities or something else, but the power in the room instantly cut out when I opened the cabinet door opposite the bathtub. That was a bit scary! I stayed here for a car show. The room was clean and spacious, and the service was excellent. Dining was also incredibly convenient. My only minor issue was that it was difficult to find the hotel elevator from the underground parking garage. I hope they can add more signs to guide guests.

I originally booked a Deluxe River View Room at The Peninsula, but to my pleasant surprise, I received a complimentary upgrade to a River View Suite! What an amazing bonus! The suite offered a stunning, expansive view directly overlooking the beautiful Bund, creating a fantastic ambiance. The hotel's service was meticulous and attentive, the facilities were top-notch, and the environment was serene...
Excellent! This classic hotel really delivers on service. I had a garden view room, which was clean and tidy, and the walk-in closet and vanity room were super convenient. The Western restaurant was very upscale and offered a truly authentic Western dining experience.
Terrible. Will not stay again. The check-in SOP was unclear, forcing guests to ask multiple questions, even for basic information like breakfast times and location. The room smelled of smoke, possibly due to old or poorly maintained air conditioning. The front desk staff denied there was a smoke smell and only after repeated requests did they show me other rooms, about half of which also smelled of...
If you're torn between hotels like Shanghai Centre J, Amanyangyun, Bulgari, and The Peninsula for your trip, I have to say The Peninsula's service is comparatively subpar among them. No one will ask you how you'd like your breakfast or if you'd prefer it in your room; they won't even bring it up. I even asked the front desk to temporarily store my takeout, and it was refused, with them telling me to...
What can I say about this place that hasn't been said before? It's the second time that we stayed at the Peninsula. This second time was actually a last minute idea on our way out from Shanghai. This time, we finally got to see the Peninsula pool and it was amazing! Honestly the best hotel pool I've ever seen! The breakfast was once again, amazing. All the art deco accoutrements are so beautiful as...
The location is super convenient, right next to the subway exit. It's only a 3-minute ride to Nanjing Road. There are plenty of great restaurants and shops nearby, and convenience stores are everywhere. No need to overthink it; I'll definitely be back next time. Excellent!
