Fantastic hotel with a great location and amazing views over the Bund and the Huangpu River. The rooms are spacious, clean, and very comfortable, and the historic charm of the building makes the stay special. The staff is friendly and professional, always ready to help. I would definitely stay here again when visiting Shanghai.
Good location, with a great view of the city towers and Huang Pu river
Visited Shanghai for office work and our local colleagues booked us in this hotel. Although its pretty old property, but managed extremely well. The location is on the Bund and its the biggest plus point for this hotel. Rooms are big, well maintained. Very good buffet spread.. not much suitable for Indians as we like spices and salt in our every food and its missing in original Chinese food. However...
Located in a great neighborhood that's both touristic and serene, we were upgraded to a suite upon arrival. The room is spacious and part of a historical building, which gives it an old-world charm. However, it is well-maintained and clean. As fans of antiques and vintage vibes, we found this place perfect. The breakfast room offers a stunning view of the bridge, creek, and river.
The famous building of old Shanghai is in a prime location, the new buildings adjacent to it are highlighted, and the Shanghai building is a bit old and dated.
Historical hotel that restrain some old China charm. I only had dinner and the restoration is very good. They serve Weiyang food. The rooms had good view down the Bund and across to the opposing financial district

This is our go-to hotel every Chinese New Year. It's grand and clean, with a huge swimming pool. The rooms are spacious, come with a bathtub, and offer a great sunset view. My parents said the dinner buffet was quite good. And the complimentary coasters are absolutely beautiful!
The hotel is not close to the main city area however there are shopping malls nearby so it's very convenient. Room design is unique compared to other classic hotels.
Nice spaceous hotel room convient access to shopping mall
Pretty good! I was really happy with the hotel's facilities and decor. Plus, there are tons of great food options nearby.
The hotel was very comfortable, and the complimentary museum tickets were a very thoughtful touch.
I stayed here for a car show. The room was clean and spacious, and the service was excellent. Dining was also incredibly convenient. My only minor issue was that it was difficult to find the hotel elevator from the underground parking garage. I hope they can add more signs to guide guests.

I originally booked a Deluxe River View Room at The Peninsula, but to my pleasant surprise, I received a complimentary upgrade to a River View Suite! What an amazing bonus! The suite offered a stunning, expansive view directly overlooking the beautiful Bund, creating a fantastic ambiance. The hotel's service was meticulous and attentive, the facilities were top-notch, and the environment was serene...
Excellent! This classic hotel really delivers on service. I had a garden view room, which was clean and tidy, and the walk-in closet and vanity room were super convenient. The Western restaurant was very upscale and offered a truly authentic Western dining experience.
Terrible. Will not stay again. The check-in SOP was unclear, forcing guests to ask multiple questions, even for basic information like breakfast times and location. The room smelled of smoke, possibly due to old or poorly maintained air conditioning. The front desk staff denied there was a smoke smell and only after repeated requests did they show me other rooms, about half of which also smelled of...
If you're torn between hotels like Shanghai Centre J, Amanyangyun, Bulgari, and The Peninsula for your trip, I have to say The Peninsula's service is comparatively subpar among them. No one will ask you how you'd like your breakfast or if you'd prefer it in your room; they won't even bring it up. I even asked the front desk to temporarily store my takeout, and it was refused, with them telling me to...
What can I say about this place that hasn't been said before? It's the second time that we stayed at the Peninsula. This second time was actually a last minute idea on our way out from Shanghai. This time, we finally got to see the Peninsula pool and it was amazing! Honestly the best hotel pool I've ever seen! The breakfast was once again, amazing. All the art deco accoutrements are so beautiful as...
The location is super convenient, right next to the subway exit. It's only a 3-minute ride to Nanjing Road. There are plenty of great restaurants and shops nearby, and convenience stores are everywhere. No need to overthink it; I'll definitely be back next time. Excellent!

I've stayed at this hotel multiple times. It's conveniently located in the Biyun International Community. I communicated with the hotel in advance about my check-in, and they assigned me a suite. Since I was celebrating my birthday, I truly appreciated this thoughtful gesture and the genuine care. On weekends, the hotel offers a shuttle service to and from Disneyland, which can be booked a day in advance...
Very satisfied. It's clean, tidy, and has a quiet environment. The front desk staff were very warm and attentive, and the housekeeping service was excellent.
The biggest surprise during this stay was definitely the hotel's service. While the facilities aren't brand new, they were perfectly clean and functional, offering unbeatable value for money at this price point. What truly stood out was the warm and attentive staff at the front desk and reception. They proactively helped me with my luggage upon check-in and courteously saw me off at the door during...
Traveling with elderly parents and children, the front desk was incredibly nice. The housekeeping staff cleaned our room meticulously; the floors and bathroom were spotless and dry. Breakfast was a family favorite! The kids loved the mini cakes and milk, while my parents enjoyed the congee and side dishes. There was also freshly ground coffee and a salad bar. Everyone was very satisfied with their...
The room design is very grand and clean, making for a very comfortable stay. The experience was fantastic, far exceeding many similar hotels. Highly recommended!
Great value for money. It's very convenient to stay here if you're visiting Disney, as the hotel offers a shuttle service. The WiFi was quite poor and needs improvement. There was a leak under the kitchen sink, but it was fixed very quickly, and the service was excellent.

Very satisfied. The location is excellent, though the facilities are a bit old. Everything else was pretty good. I would definitely consider staying here again, especially since you can see Century Park from the window.
The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic, right above Century Park Station on Line 2, making it incredibly convenient for anyone traveling by metro. I particularly loved the lobby's floor tiles and overall decor style – it's bright and airy, and they even have a self-service tea station. My room also had a balcony, which made it so well-ventilated that I didn't even need the air conditioning. Standing...

Great hotel for a short stay, specially when attending trade fairs at the SNIEC.
I stayed 1 night this hotel. Food was delicious. The room was clean . The hotel is near the big garden with lake .
The location is great. It is right next to the line 2 of Shanghai Metro. There is a public park - Century Park - right cross the street. The hotel staff was helpful, the room was clean, though the amenities were aged. One thing that made us uncomfortable is the tub/shower in the bathroom. Every time I see Xiao Wang at the front desk, she's always full of energy and impeccably dressed. Whether I'm checking in, checking out, or just have a quick question, she always stands up to listen and responds attentively. She's great!

I've stayed at this hotel many times for business trips. This time, the main building was under renovation, so I was moved to the annex. The price was the same as before, but the breakfast was quite disappointing. The room rate is unchanged, but it's really not worth it anymore.
Hotel great except air conditioning didn't work and also refrigerator. Glad it wasn't real hot outside. Food better selection than we were here last time.

I stayed in the VIP building. The facilities are a bit dated, but the space is much larger than building 3. All rooms come with dehumidifiers, making the overall stay very comfortable. You can check out directly downstairs without having to go to the main building. Thanks to Selene Hao for the great service, everything was excellent! 👍

Extremely satisfied! The room was quiet for sleeping, with excellent blackout curtains. The layout and amenities were very comfortable. This is my top choice for hotels in Shanghai. The TV allowed for screen casting, and the bathroom was exceptionally comfortable. I'll definitely be back.
Great service and overall experience at the Sukhothai Shanghai. Was visiting the city to celebrate my mom's birthday, and the staff at Sukhothai even did a little birthday surprise decor in the room. We were delighted! Will be back for sure.
The hotel's location is excellent, right next to the Louis Vuitton building. The hotel environment and design are quite good, and the service was also spot on. They even upgraded me to a suite. Everything was very satisfactory, and by the way, the breakfast variety and taste were also great.

I booked quite a few rooms. The hotel rooms were very spacious and well-designed, and the pool was decent. The breakfast was also pretty good, though the facilities were a little old. Overall, I was quite satisfied.
The environment and facilities are great. The hotel decor is opulent and luxurious, and the rooms have bathtubs. There's also an indoor swimming pool and a kids' play area. The only downside was the dinner hot pot buffet; there wasn't much good food.
Breakfast was too good . Lot of variety of food was there . Staff was helpful.
The family suite was very spacious. The bathroom thoughtfully provided a small toilet for kids, along with baby toothbrushes and slippers. There were even bath toys next to the tub. Soft mats were laid out under the stairs, perfect for babies to crawl on, and the room also had a rocking horse.
The hotel is located next to a residential area, offering a great environment. The room was quite spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was decent, though it would be even better if they extended the breakfast hours a bit. The service was enthusiastic.
Beautiful hotel overall. outdoor pool not available. Indoor pool & gym don't open until 9am which is very inconvenient for some. Young children are allowed in the gym. They made a lot of noise which is not appropriate.

The hotel's location is excellent, making it a perfect choice for the May Day holiday. The surroundings are beautiful, close to a small river, which is great for running. It's also conveniently located near a subway station for easy travel.

My stay here was fantastic! The front desk staff were warm and efficient, and the room was spotlessly clean with comfortable, soft bedding. The facilities are modern and well-maintained, and the gym and pool were easy to use. The location is excellent, close to transport links with plenty of dining and shopping options nearby. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of fresh and delicious food...
An older hotel that's generally comfortable, and the location is excellent. The room was reasonably quiet and clean. The bed wasn't very comfortable, but the bedding was fine, as were the air conditioning and water temperature. The room's odor could be improved.
The room quality felt pretty standard, like an older star-rated hotel. It was a twin room, and each bed was a bit too small, but I could manage to sleep on one by myself. Overall, it was an average experience.
My stay this time was a really bad experience. First, the bathroom drain in my room (on the 20th floor) had a terrible odor. We asked housekeeping to spray some air freshener, but it didn't help at all. Second, the water pressure for the shower was very low. Third, the bathroom exhaust fan was incredibly noisy. Fourth, the toilet paper provided by the hotel was of terrible quality—it was so thin that...
Huge shoutout to Xiao Wang at the front desk! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with her genuine smile and felt her incredibly attentive service. She was very flexible in handling things, truly making me feel at home. With an employee like her, it's hard for the hotel not to thrive. Full marks!
The room was great and clean, the location was very convenient for transportation, and the staff were highly professional and attentive!

This is my second hotel in Shanghai on my business trip. The room offered a striking, direct view of the Oriental Pearl Tower. Its central location near the Bund and Nanjing Road made it highly convenient for both meetings and exploring the city. Overall, a distinctive and well-executed stay that complements a business trip with a more contemporary edge.
Excellent service, especially a big thank you to my personal room attendant who provided outstanding service. The hotel environment is fantastic, and it will definitely be my top choice for business trips to Shanghai in the future. Also, the chocolates are absolutely incredible, especially the white chocolate ones!
Our stay in Shanghai was absolutely exceptional from start to finish. The hotel’s location on central Nanjing Road was perfect, surrounded by the energy of the city while still feeling luxurious and comfortable.
From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding. The doorman warmly welcomed us, and the guest service agent immediately assisted with our luggage as we entered. Check-in was fast,...
The bedding was very comfortable.
The service at The Shanghai EDITION Yona was superb! The staff were warm and polite, providing meticulous and thoughtful service throughout. The experience was excellent, feeling both high-end and comfortable. It was a very satisfying trip.
The room was very nice , and service was amazing ! Thank you Zora and all other staff members for the hospitality!!
The location is excellent, right on East Nanjing Road. I loved the signature scent of the Edition Hotel, and the room felt incredibly spacious thanks to the high ceilings, with a great view of the Oriental Pearl Tower nearby. Breakfast was served à la carte and was delicious. In particular, Yona, who assisted me, was exceptionally kind and attentive throughout my stay, allowing me to fully relax. I...
