Park Hyatt Shanghai in Shanghai

Called before check-in to confirm my arrival time. There was a bit of a wait when I got there, but the front desk agent upgraded my room. The room was quiet, clean, and well-insulated. The scent in the hallway was very pleasant. The housekeeping staff did an incredibly thorough job cleaning. Because of the high floor and temperature difference, the window would rattle at night. After mentioning this to the front desk at checkout, the agent explained the situation and even gave me a small bear plushie 🐻. Definitely worth another stay.

Honestly, it doesn't really matter! I've stayed at your Park Hyatt Shanghai and other great hotels in Shanghai! Usually, the prices are pretty similar during the off-season! The next day, because I had such a delicious breakfast and afternoon tea! I'll definitely wake up for your breakfast whenever I can! And your room has an unobstructed view of the Bund, Oriental Pearl TV Tower, and all the beautiful scenery! It totally exposes everything! Seeing such an amazing view! I said right then and there that I loved it! I absolutely have to commend you on this! This is a really big deal for me! And staying in a hotel with a great view and delicious breakfast is so important to me! I'll definitely be back!

Super spacious. Great washroom with both bathtub and shower. Lounging on the chaise enjoying the view was super comfy. We didn't need it, but there was a ton of storage space and even a jewellery box.

I will note this is an older hotel, so some of the interior shows wear or outdated tech. There was a plug in one of the washroom sinks that wasn't working, which someone had removed and set aside on the counter. The bathroom mirror also has a small TV built into it, but which didn't have any signal. The lights are somewhat dim in the bedroom, but the bathroom is nicely bright.

Our stay at Park Hyatt Shanghai was truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the staff welcomed us with warmth and genuine friendliness, making us feel completely at home. Every interaction reflected care and professionalism, enhancing the overall experience.
The hotel itself is stunning—elegantly designed, serene, and impeccably maintained. Our room was spacious and luxurious, with breathtaking views of Shanghai’s skyline, creating the perfect blend of comfort and sophistication.
One highlight was the breakfast: a wonderful variety of options that catered to every taste, from fresh local delicacies to international favorites. It was a delightful way to start a day, and my kids were especially thrilled by the choices available.
The hotel is remarkably family-friendly, with thoughtful touches that made our children feel just as welcome as adults. Their excitement and enjoyment added so much joy to our stay.
Overall, Park Hyatt Shanghai offered a flawless combination of luxury, comfort, and exceptional service. We left with cherished memories and would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone visiting Shanghai, especially families seeking a truly memorable experience.

Excellent stay - we checked into the J hotel across the road, and checked out immediately due to poor condition of room. Park Hyatt to the rescue, faultless stay and a class above J Hotel.

The environment was fantastic, and the staff were incredibly attentive from check-in to check-out. The in-room facilities were also well-maintained. The only downside was the bad weather during my stay, so I didn't get to enjoy any of the views.

The hotel's facilities are excellent, definitely on par with international 5-star standards. However, I can't say the same for the service.

My child, who is 8 years old, went into the restroom alone and accidentally locked themselves in. Due to a design flaw in the lock, they weren't strong enough to open it, getting trapped inside. This was clearly an emergency. Despite calling the front desk twice to report that my child was stuck alone, hotel maintenance staff only arrived about 15 minutes later and had to use tools to open the door from the outside. When my child came out, they were covered in sweat and tears, clearly terrified from being trapped for so long. Yet, the hotel staff left without offering any apology or comfort.

When checking out, the front desk politely asked if I was satisfied. I brought up the incident, and the front desk staff seemed surprised and unfamiliar with what I was talking about. They then said, 'Okay, we'll make a note of that,' and proceeded to scribble two words on a piece of paper. It looked like they did indeed make a note, but I'm not sure what good it will do.

The service was by-the-book and lacked any human touch. It felt like the priorities were completely misplaced, like 'buying the casket and returning the pearls' (valuing the packaging over the content).

Great hotel location, close to the subway. The front desk staff kindly arranged a room with a Bund view for me. The room was spacious and clean, and the restaurant overlooks the Oriental Pearl Tower, offering a fantastic view. Highly recommend!

The hotel offers perfect service. Tina at the front desk was very professional and provided excellent service. Pefect hotel, perfect service.

Fantastic property, unbelievable views. This is the best way to experience Shanghai. The staff were great and breakfast is beyond belief.
